The only ship which can move and stay in smoke the whole time, the smoke dissipates in seconds but it blooms for a long time so you can move at 1/4th speed and you stay concealed. It's your own personal moving smoke generator. It's also the only Leander which has HE
-
I mostly play cruisers btw, so don't hate me to much As to your claim moving smoke could work in your favour... buy a Perth and be done with it
-
BB smoke should be a toxic cloud which hangs over them corroding their hull until they press W and move forward instead of backwards. #MakeBBGreatAgain edit: @Lezantas See, I do want moving smoke
-
And it's not needed and doesn't bring anything to the game. Btw, want to claim you never said anything negative about smoke

How many people are planning on leaving Warships
mtm78 replied to thewildgam3r's topic in General Discussion
Like it was pointed out above, and as flamu himself says pretty often, shima is so inconsistent. Imo, and others seem to agree, it's because shima depends not just on your skill as a player but also on the enemy. More so then other DD's, because shima is more of a one trick pony then other DD's which are more universal. It would be nice if Sub_Octavian could elaborate on the statistics he mentioned in the Q&A, as I can't imagine median performance of Shimakaze being so close to Gearing when 3rd party sites show a large difference. -

I rate flamu as also a good player ( ) and he stopped using F3's because of to many radar cruisers. It's not just 'not very good players' who have a different opinion it seems. -
Chat Moderators for Warships missing, where are the good Guys?
mtm78 replied to DeletedUser's topic in General Discussion
I voted yes... but mainly because I'm never in General Chat channel anyway... to many casuals I rather socialize with people who can appreciate a timely rage about plebs in my team, about weekend warriors, and about the sun and the moon being out of alignment! Redownloading client to 'fix' server side stored account data being 'wrong' Ow wait.. that name.. -
Your torps YOUR responsibility not his. Simple solution: don't torp from second line. Capiche?
-
The funny thing is, he claims others are trying to push their own particular gameplay style... but all he wants to do is play his Des Moines in a way which get's him ( according to him at least ) over 40% win rate Ow and NO ONE in this thread he is actually responding to has said ANYTHING which promotes camping. That's just his lack of comprehension at work ( again... ).

Are you my alt account OP? I swear we're born out of the same spirit!

There aren't many posts where I agree fully with you, but this is definitely one of them -
No it's more RNG, and it only complicates things for classes which rely on smoke. We all know you also don't like smoke, doesn't mean it has to be be the next checkmark on the BBaby Bingo card development roadmap.
-
Don't forget his most played ship is Minekaze
-
Nice selective quoting.. Here, I can do the same
-
That is exactly what RNG is. Imagine a RN CL, small smoke blob in optimal position ( next to an island giving you a way out when needed ) then wind blows your smoke away from your island. Fun and engaging. Also, current smoke isn't comfy and cosy, but necessary for game balance
-
Could also be both
-
Guess you should try it for yourself, if you can't translate what I said into suboptimal playstyle results. edit: ow forgot though, flight time is 14s at max range, making is USN style ballistics. Hitting DD's at max range is not really possible unless they railroad and you can adjust aim. I been hitting VMF DD's at ~13km for 1.5 - 3k per salvo though if they broadside straight line for to long ( using AP ). Max range AP does pen BB superstructure it seems, HE pen doesn't change with distance.

Well S_O is responding now on this forum in the other topic, we could always ask him to clarify -
Ow wait... OP plays no ships which rely on smokes at all.. nice way to have unbiased opinions

Just use ship comparison, check top Gearing players ( top 100 ) and then check top Shima players? -
*forgot detailed screen* You don't get any speed or turning ability boost, being close and spotted just means you melt fast as you can't evade incoming fire. But you can still deal respectable damage. Game 1 was mostly AP damage in broadside enemies, second game had a lot of fire damage on BB's around max range ( couldn't close or get to a more optimal position, team was really crap ). Carry ability of Akizuki is very limited on PTS, you can't really push back BB's like you can now with stealth fire which means you can't control engagements. You can leech some damage but that's about it sadly
-
It get's better shells equating to 100hp more damage ( and 2% fire ), the guns are the same Hipper and Hindenburg do have the same exact guns and shells, and I agree Hindenburg is a monster
-
should torpedoes get buffed for Destoryersin this patch
mtm78 replied to Reisen__'s topic in General Discussion
This. edit: btw, extra speed only sounds nice, when you consider that equipment and captains skills are multiplicative of base detection value you're way better off with lower base detection.
