  1. Meh I liked Umikaze more, you know... before it became balanced All these changes imo were less influential, they were game mechanics for sure no doubt. But this is a core mechanic, that's the difference.

    It's weird right ( but it fits the character ) that he claims WG dev's know exactly what they are doing, and then claim they add content to the game which doesn't work like it's supposed to...

No, I actually did mention that I said it's not a good thing to make the meta more smoke dependent as the next thing which can be scratched of the BBaby Bingo card development roadmap is 'smokes are OP'. There are already ........ posting ...... about how their BB's won't be fully pleased until the utility of smoke is lowered so you can't actually use it offensively.
  6. Fletcher, Gearing and any ship which relied a lot on concealment will suffer, perhaps USN less since they always been more smoke heavy. I was guessing GE might suffer if they are playing the objectives (cap zone's) since their smoke last the shortest, but they got hydro so they are safer when they do have to smoke up. And in standard battle GE will be buffed a lot as was said earlier. Decent players will adapt, I have no doubt. But those who fall below that will either die much quicker, or play way more passive, since playing the objectives will prove to be not worth the risk. And even the decent players which can adapt will suffer, because they can't share the love of the enemy team evenly with the lesser players, since those players are all playing long range 'support'. And I guess IJN will be less popular overall, so that's already less DD's which are best suited to go and contest caps and provide vision for the team.

  9. I talk about Akizuki and you mention 'IJN DD's are weak'? Lol yeah, my Akizuki is so weak Or wait, she might actually be overperforming at the moment. But ok, I guess you meant every other IJN DD.. Post # where you think I'm selectively quoting AND putting things out off context like you been doing like a proper troll?
  10. That's it in a nutshell. And it is only 'important' since most of these engagements happen around objectives aka cap zone's. I seen so much more passive DD's on PTS, and for a good reason. That doesn't apply to VMF DD's, they never were the one's supposed to push into caps anyway. But the few IJN DD's I seen, and even the USN one's, aren't actually playing the objectives much if it all. On live right now, we also see games where teams who have the 'bad apples' as DD's are just not able to even contest a game because their DD's refuse to play the objectives. I fear this will just cause a lot more games to be lost from 30s after the start seeing the DD's refusing to do their jobs.

  13. You're using strawman arguments on purpose. No. As I said, stop trying to twist my words into something OPPOSITE of anything I been saying it's pathetic. I am talking, continously, about when you kill the enemy DD in cqc ( which is not 10km stealth fire ), at which time you normally would go back into stealth but now you will at least stay visible for 20 seconds more. I explained multiple times the implications it brings with it. Stop lying about what I'm saying just because you can't actually refute it, you're being a sad little person with those attempts. Yeah it would.... But WG ( well Sub_Octavian ) has said this will not happen.
  14. Yes! I like watching her in my port. She often begs me to take her out and bully some Fuso's and New Mexico's but alas, WG has 'rebalanced' her and now she can only meet Kongo's and New York's I fear others might have less restraint Shhhhh....

  16. It is an utter tragedy that so many people seem to want unreal tournament with ship models instead of a game where tactics are as important if not more important then aiming. Positioning is overrated right No it has not always been like it is on PTS. You're trolling if you claim that, the difference in being spotted for 20s longer is tremendous. You can NOW on live go in kill the DD and not still be shot at for 20 seconds. You mention smoke... which sounds nice right.. except that the next item on the BBaby Bingo card is 'smokes are OP' ;)

  19. Yeah, has nothing to do with 20s spotting while you kill the closest enemy right... nothing at all. Staying spotted 20s longer is just a trivial matter, doesn't influence gameplay or anything at all, not even close to even remotely being influential in DD's who actually play the objectives.
  20. I am very dissapointed with this topic. It started out excellent, even an non cv player like me understood the subject and the goal of the opening post. I was hoping sensible people would post about the subject discussed in it. Sadly, the topic has deteriorated into the same old back and forth every CV thread Avenger121 notices falls prey to. Multiple people asked him to stop derailing the thread but he just wants to push his own agenda and complain about how broken the class as a whole is. It would be very nice if a moderator could split all the off topic from this thread and hopefully let this thread continue as intended, as this chance atm seems non existent and the subject Ishiro32 brought up deserves a normal discussion.

    His argument sounded like the 'blinking' out of vision to quickly if you stopped firing didn't give BB Kevin enough time to aim and shoot at you, therefore it was 'equal' in making BB Kevin uncomfortable as stealth firing.

    And yet. Leander is already 'not bad' and from there they only get better. Fiji is straight up OP if you ask me ( with Belfast being the broken sister which adds radar and ability to mount tier 8 concealment module to it's list of achievements ), the tier 8 keeps the same dpm so it's kinda meh... but then it only keeps getting better. They don't need HE, though they do seem to benefit from bad enemies showing broadside a lot ( and thus of proper positioning / predicting enemy movement ). Btw Perth has a plane slot, you can smoke yourself up and have the plane spot for you ( if it doesn't get shot down ) I'm not spending money on the game atm either ( I do have premium running... which is kinda sad as I haven't been playing much ), but I will buy a Perth someday if the game doesn't deteriorate to keep pleasing BB Kevin.

    Sub_Octavian said it would lead to 'the same kind of abuse' as stealth firing.. which is odd as he also said SF wasn't removed because it was 'problematic' but mainly because new players wouldn't easilly learn about concealment penalties... Imo it would be a lot better then adding more RNG to the game by increasing dispersion of ships shooting at ships with concealment module mounted.
