A good Gearing player has 2x 40k dmg average and I bet they will never say that you can't use gun's on Ocean map. Gearing has almost equal concealment as a Shima... and the best close range guns.

So the way to play Gearing now is to torp DD's? Since 26 gun hits for a Gearing is underwhelming to say the least. Anusuarai then did a better job with his 160k game with 112 gun hits and a couple of torps in his Gearing ( screenshot posted yesterday ).

And again I will say you're seemingly the most lucky guy alive when it comes to only meeting potato DD players as everyone except some potato's know to angle or get shredded. And when they do I can actually still damage then trough IFHE.

I was not a lot of games, but it certainly did not feel like that at all It shouldn't come back, don't think I am asking for something which I 100% know will not happen. But a change in mechanics which favors smaller ships over bigger one's in the spotting mechanics isn't only much more feasible, I will never understand why it wasn't implemented in the first place. Well, ofc, my signature would indicate what I THINK is the reason, WG's biggest money makers are sailing BB's. But WG must know that they can not keep dumbing down the game for them.

I asked a DD for smoke, got blown off, someone commented that I should shut up and just play, I said 'git gud' or 'l2p xxxxx' ... One minute later a hidden Amagi shot me from stealth ( behind an island ) and removed 42k hp from my Moskva. But I still think the Fletcher could have easilly smoked me up, I probably wouldn't have been in the position I was when I got deleted so I don't feel particulary crappy over it. Well, not over what I said, ofc I did feel crappy about being deleted so early in the game. And it was my first win. So far Moskva seems... different. I haven't had a single decent game in her yet

I just wanted the replay to see if your ranting about smoke firing would bite you in the behind I did a whoping 10k dmg from smoke, I ended the game with 2 smokes left ( from 3, no SI on Blys .. ). I couldn't even smoke if I wanted, team was dying and would have no spotters during most of the match. So I was evasion tanking as good as I could. I will admit most of the dmg was not from DD's, the DD's stayed away from me except one which I killed. Had some cruisers hunting, Fiji was the worst. Anyway, it was a potato team, flank I was on was doing fine but other flank collapsed and we got surrounded. Probably should have gone back sooner to help them. Either way, I don't think Blys for instance really is made 'bad' suddenly. Just like Gearing I guess, since it usually does best in cqc it hasn't lost much except that concealment penalty we been 'dancing around' about. Haven't done so yet, my best captains are on Akizuki and on Akatsuki ( iirc ). Which never was a gunboat ship anyway, so there shouldn't be a big difference in playing her.

Log out for 10 minutes then log back in, you should be able to play again. Don't select the sub when in division, don't try to do anything with the commander, just ignore it untill they unlock it on 1st april for the annual 'joke'.

There are multiple topics on this already, in my opinion 15s would be a nice thing to try. Even 10s wouldn't sound that bad to me... for DD's ofc. CA's 5s longer and BB's 10 seconds longer. Or make it depend on gun caliber.. but that is 'complicated' and would confuse 'new players' so WG will never do it.

Ok, I lost, and it wasn't a 'great' game but c'mon it isn't crap either. If I had a semi decent team we would have won. Blys can evasion tank, it's was never dependent on stealth firing. It doesn't suffer from it's removal, though it suffers like all DD's from the 20s longer being spotted.
