Please revert firing range & detectability of Ishizuchi back to 0.6.2 values.
mtm78 replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in General Discussion
wn8 is normalized per ship performance ( to much focused on damage and not enough on win rate though imho ). You can't be 'padding' it and not actually contributing to wining games. Infact, I think there is a bigger correlation between WTR and w/r then wn8 and w/r in tanks ( and that was the 8th iteration already ). So why do you only do decent in your slow BB's? -
Those are all local laws anyway, I live in a different country ( though we also have strong consumer protection laws ). Also, I think this part, that consumers can not sign away their rights, is actually something which is ruled on by the EU court so it applies to all countries in it.

So what if it's isn't making it more enjoyable

Actually, positioning had nothing to do with luck While dispersion = RNG = 'luck'. Again, I don't need the old system back, but saying this requires more skill is not entirely true. It's true when going over a lot games, since if you sail predictable / straight line you will more often eat damage while if you are good at wiggling your tail you will eat less overall. But in a single instance, luck can either end you or save you. And since DD's already don't have that much HP, for me it feels almost as bad as detonations. And you can't tell me you find those 'fun and engaging' can you? -
Musashi as tier 9 why not? Worse armor, worse AAA, give it worse shell characteristics ( it will meet tier 7 after all ) and it's fine Well, I mean it's WG so we're not allowed to have fun and good IJN ships so maybe not

True, competitive is a different thing all together I assume And even in competitive I see DD's which are spotted and people who mispredict a duke/dodge/evasive turn. That happens way more in randoms indeed. Also, the difference between 'decent' aim to good aim where your shell grouping falls within the length of a DD but might over or undershoot for instance, that's all RNG. Not over lots and lots of situations, but in any single occurrence. I benefit a lot from it, I can't count the times where I am weaving left and right and people are dropping shells right next to me the whole time. But I don't think I'm really 'good' at it, since I attribute the biggest part in doing so as 'luck'. Sure, you need to make yourself as likely as possible to be lucky, but it still is luck. Also, VMF smoke sucks edit: sentence wasn't finished, and didn't convey the message properly. -
Well I studied application development so I guess that's a yes. Yes there is ONE cheat that I know which bugs the heck out of me. Luckily it's been behind a paywall since WG killed the freely available one ( people will know what I am talking about, if not don't ask as promoting actual cheats is not the intent of this thread ). All the rest, especially those posted here, are just so utterly ridiculous it's laughable that someone can keep crying over them. Damage saturation is a well known game mechanic, the video with the 'GOD MODE' cheat is a hoax based on that ( I'll give you the proof below, again btw ). The video posted about CheatEngine 'hacking' the credit amount is hilarious as well because of the same reason. Both those 'values' ( damage calculations AND credits tied to your account ) are server authoritative. You can simply not 'cheat' in that way, period. It's not possible, there is no discussion possible either on whether or not it's not possible because it simply isn't. CheatEngine is 'great' for those wanting to cheat in a single player game, or badly designed multiplayer game. But it is just a memory modification, or active script manipulating local memory locations. It doesn't 'hack' server authoritative values for you. If you're wondering why I am using the term 'server authoritative game' so often, google it, it might give you some insights on why WG uses the same engine for all their games ( one which uses this exact programming model ).

Evasion tanking has way to much rng to replace positioning to exploit stealth firing and to be considered a good solution let alone that it requires more skill. It does not, it requires more luck. -
huh really? But you should get a single damage tick anyway right so why don't we get those ribbons then?

Every post of him is entertaining isn't it? The tears are so delicious HE overpen's IFHE overpens MORE Fires are the biggest problem in the game Damage saturation is a GOD MODE cheat CheatEngine modifying client memory can give you millions on your account No matter what you factually explain to him, he will keep crying and twisting and turning and then more crying. Seriously, try to explain to him what a server authoritative game means in regards to 'cheats'. Or how cheats don't need to interact with client files ( those are mods, though some mods can be cheats .. ), that they can run from anywhere on the pc as long as they just either read process memory like CheatEngine and his so called 'money hack' ( which is bull btw as there is not a single cheat which could do anything meaningful editing local memory, due to the server authoritative environment ) or perhaps... intercept draw calls to the render engine... He doesn't actually understand anything, but he is still always right.
-
Lol... what did I say right, not very smart That says.... "Did it occur to you that you will overpen MORE often ...." So you... MORE... so yes you did say HE overpens
-
That you're not that smart and that you lie a lot. Yeah that basically covers it. Akizuki doesn't overpen DD's with IFHE, period. But hey keep talking about things you don't understand, you're the main source of entertainment around here
-
Yeah... wow.

They might remove protected MM who knows? That should even out the times you're getting up tiered relative to down tiered ( or at least bring it closer, there is always the issue off actual player distribution along the different tiers ).
-
Sounds nice. WG will never do it though, this way you're proposing would mean even more work for them then just transferring accounts from server to server which they also don't do. As it does take away revenue from WG, they have to spend money to enable this to you.

Algérie, Henri IV and Duca d'Aosta preliminary stats

Yeah but she also complains about how you need to play it passive. I have more trust in flamu which I seen actually play the ship aggressively and having good results. And it looked like a lot of tun. I think LWM might have fallen short on playing the ship to it's strengths? Or well, maybe it was flamu's patented 'luck' which made the ship perform adequately? -
Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
mtm78 replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Ofc, Belfast is broken beyond belief Aka, buy your currently overperforming premiums now people, WG says it might be your last chance. And then, like with Kamikaze R, they will still be available at least once to squish as much profit as possible out off them -
Yeah the [edited[ seems the best from the bunch, though odly enough I kinda liked Yorck so if flamu says Baguette tier VII plays like a Yorck I might grind the line till there
-
Keep crying man, everyone is laughing and trying to actually teach you something... if only you weren't so stubborn and thick headed. IFHE doesn't cause Akizuki to overpen, period. Now go cry more about gunboat DD's and how WG made a mistake because their wiki says DD's should rely on torpedoes ps. you do realize it's NOT WG which maintains the wiki but users?
-
@OP, ignore ThinderChief, as usual he has no idea what he is talking about.
-
Tier 4 protected status had nothing to do with the ship balance, it was to 'protect' newbs Concept sounded ok right.. untill it messed up tier 5 - 6 MM. Still wouldn't do anything for tier 8MM though.

Engine smoke should indicate speed setting, but you're right it's not always easy and not everyone checks it. But even while lead assist in the game ( before WG declared it illegal ) you could throw off people using it quite easilly. Ofc, sometimes you get deleted anyway, perhaps they just predicted your turn correctly, or they actually couldn't aim and would have missed completely if you sailed straight. What you say is right though, the biggest 'aid' that indicator mod gave was showcasing speed. You can judge turns from either minimap or alt_hud / navigator mod ( which is legal btw ). Depends on distance, but yeah the one thing the AI is actually not THAT shabby in is aiming
-
I am using WG Multipack since recently, it's linked in Daki's thread not this one Heard about the issue with not being able to unselect mods, but that was 'fixed' with doing a new install or something, can't remember 100% atm. But, I think that the settings / preferences are stored in a file called WoWsMod.dat or WoWsModMini.dat. Delete those ( make a backup ) and run the installer again and you should have no preselected mods. edit: these files are placed in your WoWs root folder.
