Didn't even check, just assumed NA was lower because I trusted the one telling me. Figures... thanks for showing how wrong that is ( always check your numbers if you're going to repeat stuff others say ). observational bias? -

Almost 60% it seems. Yeah, some really are thinking from How about: limit BB's because they are the actual problem causing the higher prevalence of DD's at some tiers, THOUGH NEVER REACHING BB POPULATION NUMBERS? How about: Montana is closer to CurryWurst then Shima is to Khaba, DD numbers in game are far from absolute, BB numbers are absolute 100%. How about: With high BB population, cruisers are unattractive to average joe, forcing them into either destroyers ( or, cruisers without citadels aka VMF Destroyer Leaders ). Ow and before you try to tell me I'm biased on what I play -> I play ~44% cruisers 33% destroyers and 22% battleships. ( yeah, odd numbers right, 44 33 and 22, made me giggle as well ). -

Wait? You can't do that, c'mon. BB's is a class, you can't tell people they can't play a class unless they meet requirement X.

People calculated the amount of time an average player would have to play to get the Kamikaze.. most of the people already have daytime consuming jobs

Does it? Didn't maplesyrop show NA had less off an imbalance? ASIA seems to even have a cruiser heavy meta. -
What I posted above is the json header of the replay file, indicating game version 0.6.3, I also have PTS installed but replays are tied with my live client install. Maybe I should try and play it with PTS but that would be odd as it only increases version difference. Ahhh well, at least you debunked the 'cry cry cheat' theory

So they can sell it as tier 8 p2w premium since Fletcher isn't only the best torpedo boat on tier 9 it's also the best cap contesting boat and that will just be worse on tier 8? edit: got ninja'd -

Bull, DD population is natural result of BB overpopulation, cruisers not attractive, so play either torpedo boats to flood the BBabies or play cruisers without citadels aka Khaba. Limit BB, and people play more cruisers, people play more cruisers and DD's become less attractive . edit: not to mention that BB numbers are 100% absolute, DD numbers are not. A Shima is a DD, but it's a whole different ship then a Khaba. -

"Supposedly" L O L First time I see ST denying WG's own numbers edit: And BB's to easy to play? Is that 'universal', does it include top tiers? Really? The problem doesn't come from easy or hard to play, it started with German BB's being so popular in EU ( other regions DO NOT have the overpopulation issue ) and that caused BB population to reach critical mass ( playing cruisers in BB heavy meta isn't fun for most people -> let's go play BB's instead ). This just proofs that class imbalance should be fixed with MM limits, just like they did with CV's. -

You mean that game where I overextended, rushed a NCal and failed to kill him quickly because he dodged most of my torps, and then getting killed by an Akizuki and a bunch of cruisers? Yeah, not so much a display of quality there I exited the match, you probably played well -

Yeah seems so, PTS isn't really paying a lot of attention to minimap or their allies dying around them. But, in 'isolated encounters', and probably fueled by hope as much as by facts, it does feel like people have a tougher time evading torpedoes since they are spotted a bit later. This seems the optimal configuration. I hope WG will bring the change to live server and I hope I won't find out it was just PTS quality players which made me believe the .2km buff is actually a game changer for me. -

As far as the numbers were pointing out, the problem exists mainly on EU region and is mainly on the mid-high tiers with German BB's being overly popular. Tirpitz/Bismarck/Gneisenau/Scharnhorst are a big part of the overpopulation. US region has far more USN ships being played and has an average class distribution, RU region I am not sure at all. Seems ASIA server has quite the cruiser heavy meta at the moment. And that fact that all the other BB's are also so overly popular would fit within the critical mass theory, since cruiser popularity drops with high battleship numbers which causes even more people to play BB's instead ( which would then make up the other nations ). It's not definitive off course, and I will admit I might suffer from some cognitive bias which makes me accept the theory to easilly so if someone has an alternative cause and causality chain I would gladly consider it. But I don't think I would accept BB's being to strong overall. Certainly high tier BB's have strong cruisers to content with, but mid tiers might be indeed to comfortable for people to play BB's and get acceptable results ( in their own view, not absolute, but acceptable for them to enjoy the gameplay ).

I tried looking up the model on gamemodels3d.com but she's behind the paywall. Maybe the crit values for the engine/rudder modules are off, if not it might just be that the stern armor is bugged, idk. I know the subscription isn't expensive but I don't want to pay for info which imo should be freely provided by WG

My engine losses where mostly from 203 HE shells, it seemed a bit weak. I will pay some more attention to if I lose rudder often to but to me it seemed more prone to lose engine.. maybe the module is bugged and it increases chance of you losing rudder ( I got dmg control mod mounted ).

No it's BB population on tier 7-9 as calculated by a fellow forumite using maplesirop data from latest snapshot. http://maplesyrup.sweet.coocan.jp/wows/index.html I have no need to look you up, I know you like Dreadnaughts Nothing wrong with that btw, I like them to. But I like a balanced game even more.

Teach me senpai edit: I haven't lost rudder yet iirc, but I lost engine several times in a row.
