Chat Moderators for Warships missing, where are the good Guys?
mtm78 replied to DeletedUser's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, and 'use in game report system' doesn't apply to port chat unless I been right clicking names wrong and there is a menu which shows up which says 'report' I do know that support does sanction people who are reported manually, heard it from several people. But, their standard reply 'use in game report system' is just there to discourage people from filing manual reports.- 39 replies

Chat Moderators for Warships missing, where are the good Guys?
mtm78 replied to DeletedUser's topic in General Discussion
I thought the 'not posting private messages' rule wasn't about the names but about everything ( including the content ). Could be wrong though. On topic: the quote talking about in game report option when the thread is actually about 'port chat' iirc, well... it's kinda an expected answer right- 39 replies

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
mtm78 replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Imho hydro has a much higher utility, torps are way more situational. ps this has nothing to do with me maybe... very small maybe.... actually going to play some Tirpitz more.. maybe.. just as the 'new' Shima... idk.. maybe -
Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
mtm78 replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Wew.. and he finally started posting on EU forums.. I hope he keeps posting here Since when does Tirpitz have hydro? You're sounding like you think torpedoes are equal ( or even better ) than hydro on a BB? -
So... why don't you show us how 'it works for me' actually looks like?
-
See, you can do your own homework And no, replays are asked because people claim things which are almost certainly false. As you now yourself have shown, my claim is anything from that ;) And yes, I personally hope they will either turn PvE into / add to the PvE section, a 'scenario' mode, like the training mission, with multiple objectives, where you can play with your friends ( in a BIG division if you so wish with everyone on com's ) and where you can perhaps even set difficulty for starting the mission ( which then also scales the rewards you get on completion ). That would work for everyone of any skill level, and it would give WG the opportunity to add interesting game modes, like escorting convoys and perhaps even fight AI submarines

[TOOL] A program to collect and analyze personal farm of exp and credits
mtm78 replied to qMBQx8GH_eu's topic in Other Mods and Programs
Question/request: Jammin had a stats tracker for current matches, he stopped development and put the source on github ( though idk the link from memory ). Since mxstats already runs while playing, would you consider adding an optional interface to display these statistics? -
Guess you weren't around at the time. You know how many threads / posts there are here, how about you go look it up? 'something I like to think' pfff my behind. You can try starting in the 'interesting news from RU' thread, it might have some entires about WG being so surprised people actually spend a lot of time in coop and that they have boosted the coop economy from it's initial values to what it is now to make it more viable as a stand alone game mode. And then use your brains as to what that implies... or well you could try looking up actual dev posts which clearly indicate that PvE was never intended to as full blown 'I'll play PvE and grind to tier X' game mode, whatever floats your boat.
-
Yeah they added PvE as training mode, to test out ships, learn how to aim, try out different modules. It was not intended to be a full blown game mode where people would grind to tier X with just PvE.... didn't I already say that earlier? Which is why WG has already boosted economy for coop. Strange, patch notes mention nothing about changes to economy for coop games. Yeah this does sound frustrating. Did you btw ever hear about PvP players making a loss on those tiers? Because I have. Are you using premium account? Premium cammo? How many premium consumables are you using on your ships?
-
Way to many DD's, which btw could work still but only when split into separate torpedo DD and gunboat DD groups. No one is happy with 6 shima's in a game. 0 - 2 - 4 - 3 - 3 perhaps. Rest sounds interesting.
-
It actually sounds like you agree
-
No, a cruiser should NOT have the same chance off success in any given tactical situation as a DD or a BB or a CV. What it for instance should have, and does have, is an advantage in other tactical situations. And no, that doesn't make someone impotent, it just makes them weaker. Impotent is without a chance. A DD can still kill a cruiser, and a BB can kill a DD. And that's good, as long as it's heavily weighted in favor of the 'counter' class. So actually we agree on something, again? No I am not kidding. WoT has more RNG. What you're describing is the influence of said rng, there is a difference. Though I can see why you say it like that, it's not really true. So again... Want less RNG? Then you're asking to lower dispersion. Since that is the only thing which is actually RNG based. Or, you're saying it wrong and you mean to say: you want that level of RNG to have less influence. edit: idk why we argue so much, 99% of the time we seem to actually be closer to each others views then initially expected
-
WoT has more rng, dispersion just like WoWs, +-25% penetration and +-25% damage rolls. WoWs 'only' has dispersion, WG has said actual penetration mechanics have no rng what so ever other than there being a very very small amount of rng in angle normalization ( was explained way way back, like in cbt or even earlier ). That would be either great since, they would all go one flank and you can dominate other flank clean up and gang up up the division. Or, they will split up and thus mitigate this great 'advantage'. Yeah I been saying that like.. forever Cruiser with 100mm armor bouncing high caliber BB shells reliably? No way. Deflection due to ricochet though that should be a thing. This is the result of dispersion / RNG. edit: and as to your constant 'drive' to make everyone 1v1 capable, it's bull. Not needed for enjoyable gameplay. Since a 'weaker' ship in a 1v1 ( let's say cruiser vs BB ) has more utility for his team and thus different tasks. If you want to 1v1 everyone, go play unreal tournament or something.

USS Kidd, tier 8 Fletcher class destroyer coming soon.
mtm78 replied to creamgravy's topic in General Discussion
Perhaps they will, just depends on if you look at ship vs ship or ship+tier vs ship+tier WG's history with balanced ships has been quite wonky so I wouldn't be too baffled, -
fify
-
Yeah it does doesn't it Requiring teamwork is such a drag with multiplayer games... why can't all games be free for all's So even CL's should bounce BB shells.. yeah that would be so immersive, I bet players will love it. The presence of RNG in a WG game
-
You're turning soft.
-
Didn't we 'fix' that already with fixing the effect off properly angling?
-
That would lower utility from CV's making them more damage centered. I like utility on CV's, makes them more 'palatable' I guess But a big nerf to visibility from air would be good I guess. And the reason I would like some concealment buff is because it would give players more confidence that they can provide vision with a larger buffer to Gearing and Z53. Well I rather have bigger reward from actually good play ( angling correctly ) then lowering damage from citadels overall just to fix this issue. Also, a BB which doesn't use WASD.exe can also get that percentage damage from a good torpedo spread. Maybe do both, but for me priority is rewarding actual good play ( angling correctly ) and less that mistakes should not result harshly. I guess fixing armor and giving all cruisers a form of heal would work somewhat? In 1v1's yes, but not if I get 2 semi competent allies in cruisers who work with me to wither you down. You might sink me, but focus fire from cruisers will sink you as well. It would return to gameplay from earlier patches, and I actually enjoyed that a lot more than current experiences On this we agree completely.

USS Kidd, tier 8 Fletcher class destroyer coming soon.
mtm78 replied to creamgravy's topic in General Discussion
Well I wouldn't mind, as long as Akizuku also get's defensive fire consumable -
So is Fiji but it doesn't have radar + it can't use the tier 8 concealment module. Remove either, force to choose between radar and smoke or remove the module giving it equal concealment as radar range, and I will concede it's strong but not broken. As is though, it's most definitely broken. That doesn't mean much in this game btw, as WG even gives Fletchers radar..
-
Toolbelt with equal concealment as radar + smoke + hydro -> OP. No discussion possible. People who can't abuse the toolbelt does not change the basic concept that the no ship should have this combination of properties and tools.
