If you want your game to be taken serious in competitive environment, you need your mechanics to be as transparent as possible. As I said, I personally don't see how this calculation would be worth protecting so much it trumps the added value of having transparent game mechanics.

Playerbase and community are more toxic than ever...

When I played WoT this was my biggest wish already. I like the map as big as possible but I don't want it to obscure to much of my view. Ofc we have transparent minimap setting ect but it's still so much better if there was a 3'rd party program which worked with a mod for WoWs which just copies minimap output to a secondary screen -
What bothers me more is that if it's calculated there is a formula for it and I think this isn't something which should fall under 'security through obscurity' in any way shape or form so why isn't this formula public ( which would also make it a lot easier to find the 'bug' )..

Yamato with 9 bigger guns does better against BB's then Yamato with 12 smaller guns in 4x3 setup. If you want to kill cruisers more play Montana or Curry I guess. -

This this this this this and this They are content with the results they are getting, attributing to those who do better to be either 'lucky' or 'cheating' in some way since they themselves are obviously not bad players with their vast experience. Thus when they potato and someone argues with them about it, they have this incredible ability to dismiss any critique automatically without the requirement of logical thought processes. It is once said that this phenomenon is in some way related to Dunning-Kruger, but there is a large group of BB players which has been vocally opposing this proposition and in turn forward their notion that battleships are currently mostly underpowered compared to cruisers and destroyers, and especially against carriers. Their favorite moto hence is: make BB's great again Against most design concepts known to the development world, this one group of well fattened cash cows actually does not believe that a healthy class balance is required for longevity and enjoyable gameplay for all players as opposed to mostly one group, themselves. The third group of players consist of those who believe carriers are the artillery of World of Warships, an addition which shouldn't have made it past the drawing board. They loath the fact that carriers force fleet movement, as they without hesitation point out how random battles in an online game do not allow for people using the well known skill enhancement tweak called 'teamwork' as everyone besides themselves lack the ability to utilize this amazing thing called brain.exe. brain.exe is a special kind of thing for lots of players, that isn't even reserved to bad players it's also modest to good one's which just have something called brainfart.com. I myself am no stranger to those. But ideally brain.exe will enable players to fully utilize this thing called minimap.hack ( make it BIGGER dummy! ) thus increasing their situational awareness. This increment will hopefully limit the frequency of one turning pink due to team killing people with torpedoes either directly or even indirectly due to forcing people to evade, turn around and shoot at you until all their damage is reflected on them and they kill themselves in a rage of furry So, the TL:DR version -> forcefully upgrade the wetware connected to the servers with brain.exe will definitely remove 99,9999999% of any toxicity connected to the game -

The Dutch sacrifice, AKA Why isn't there a Dutch premium yet?
mtm78 replied to Aetam's topic in General Discussion
There been threads like these from alpha onwards, eventually they get forgotten and a new one spawns. -
Just to make sure we're on the same page on this

No one points out that even if the DD's die quicker the BB's would still be holding their ground defending spawn or better yet, the thin blue line? Wew my bad, nothing to see here move along bois. -

The most funny thing is the 29km range and having radar on the tier X. So you can both snipe ( hey WG gave you 29km range for a reason right ) or you can play aggressive and use your radar to help your DD's. WG stahp spoiling us Also, you could say they counter DD's and they do, those on the enemy team. You can also say they support your allied DD's when played right. Maybe WG is trying to enforce a quicker meta where the DD's are killed quickly so games don't last that long -
Also isn't it sad in a way.... cruisers were supposed to be the 'utility class' sporting hydro and defensive AAA, and later radar. Guess the BB's complained enough to water that concept down to the point where players feel a need to introduce an even more utility centered line
-
Why is WG us you mean? I don't have the slightest idea... I guess maybe they think that was a toxic smiley

Not really fun classes aren't really what the game needs imho, look at CV's and how many people play them because the UI is kinda wonky. This utility class would have comparable skill requirements as well I guess, with needing a ton of situational awareness if you want to play it at high efficiency. As I said, I'd rather have repair ports available in random pvp ( though, that would just make 99% camp around those ports if not limited in some way so I know it's not ideal either ).
-
Those heal bitches would be were in the tech tree? A whole line of just utility ships without real offensive capability? Aka a ship which relies 100% on it's team and can't realistically be played outside of a division unless you're a gambler?? Would probably not be played a lot of it all, outside of division's I recon. High concealment or low concealment? Since it's already a middle of the pack cruiser level armor, and everyone and their dogs will focus support ships the moment they are spotted. Low concealment would be broken, ships in front of you being magically healed because there is a repair [edited] near them you can't spot. High concealment would make the class unplayable. Very hard to get something like that right... look at Pepsi how long it took for WG to fix concealment there. I actually think adding interactive map elements even in pvp random battles would work better, like a repair harbor in your own base which you can use a limited number of times during a battle. I mean plane fenders and utility craft are nice to have in your team but I can't imagine it being tweakable to a level where their performance is as you'd want it to be and it still being fun for the one playing them.

That's BS, you said premiums were nerved because they removed stealth firing from the game Jesus Christ if people think the difference between those are limited to 'semantics' then I suddenly understand people who lose faith in humanity. -
Tbh I don't know who that is

I concede the effects are there but they are shared with every other ship. It's not like Blys suddenly became a bad dd in comparison with others which were affected as well. That is the fundamental difference between a direct nerf and a game mechanic change. -

Some people lack basic understanding between the difference between mechanical changes like the IJN AAA nerf -> Yubari AAA nerf and global spotting / detection mechanic change and indirect affection of ships like Blyska and Leningrad -
I don't use modded gun sights but afaik all of them work in the manner that they replace one of the built in one's so just go to your settings and try to see if any of the existing stock gun sights might be replaced by your selected modded one?
-
That is because of the port's haze effect which is applied. Post processing clears this up so the colors seem a bit more vibrant? Do Cleveland in another port and see if it's the same :)

I <3 shooting at DD's because even while I don't have to switch ammo I can hurt a class with both a high strategic value ( aka I will win the game easier by killing them ) as well as a huge increase in xp and credit income since it's based on percentage damage.
