I rather not have people who play selfish on my team, instead of securing a victory first and foremost. It's easier to deal damage when you've gained map control and are forcing the enemy to make mistakes. Ofc, if you're in a cruiser I don't expect you to go into the open ( maybe RN because they have smoke and good concealment ) but a DD which goes to 'flank' to get side shots on BB blob but forgets it's a domination match and ignores the fact that enemy will get cap advantage, those are as annoying as BB's running to blue line ( or across the map from spawn because 'they always play that side' ). Especially IJN DD's ignoring the fact that every other 'DD' on their team is actually a gunboat with terrible concealment while the enemy has full IJN stealth boats contesting caps... edit: just to reiterate why capping is more important than just the direct XP gain it is awarded with and thus should actually not be rewarded less at all. Rewarding capping ensures that teams are playing for the same objective ( winning the game ). So if you want more teamplay, you should be rewarding those playing for the objective.

Well norm is a bit of an exaggeration or my average would be way higher right But yeah if FUN was something you could measure, those games would still be off the scale. The problem though with fail divisioning is that you get 'allies' which see a tier 4 and think they should abandon hope and just make fun of the 'noob' who took the unable ship.... I remember a thread like that about that other ship which could punch even more tiers above it's own weight; the old Umikaze with the good torps it had Also, unless Imperator oneshots me from concealment I will never lose the fight in a tier 7 cruiser, there is to much range and speed difference for the cruiser to fully dictate the engagement -
Detailed screenshots? Replay? Also, capping should get more XP, as it's the actual game objective ( winning ). Dmg can be farmed, it shouldn't be rewarded so much.

Nothing will make BBabies move, ffs they are BBabies for a reason. We already had nerved DE, we have FP, and we ( well some of us ) have brain.exe which manages consumables. Did this make BBabies move? BBabies kemp because they can. Nothing you do will change that unless it actually prevents them from doing it. Look at all the BBabies still afraid to scratch their paint, even if the game is lost already and in 30s the game is over, they still hide behind the island on B2.

WG should add some of that TOXIC™ chat behavior to the AI, just to prepare people for what will happen when they get the option to play PvP. Sarcasm aside, 'harsh' comments = fine. Someone who goes around telling me how he wants to have intercourse with my family members, after which they should all get ( insert popular disease of the month, be it 'cancer' or 'ebola' or w/e the 'cool' kids use at the time of occurrence ) = not fine. 'Haha I sank you you're a noob' -> banter 'You [swearing], I just had sex with your mother and then gave her cancer' -> chat ban plox ( if he keeps doing it, an account ban wouldn't be out of the question either if you'd ask me ).

While I, quite strongly if I might add, object to the usage of terms like 'cancerous' to describe element from a game, it's without a doubt in my mind that I can say it will not be for the better.

You can buy a better turning and accelerating Akizuki in the premium shop, it just has only 3 turrets, no mid or short range AAA to speak off, but also has two torpedo launchers instead of Akizuki's singular one. -
Because overpenetration does not care about damage saturation...

Was just watching Flamu play ranked on EU when 5 people on his team got disconnected in game ( enemy team had 2 disconnects... so they won ). I do want to try my new shiney Harekaze but maybe I should wait a bit

I had this a patch ago, using two of the four options even iirc. Eventually I just reinstalled modpack without chat mod as it didn't only break chat but you also can't see the quickmessage commands and that is highly annoying.

Last patch I installed one of those 4 chat mods which gives ship names in chat ( dual authors and dual layouts for both mod makers ), kinda forgot which one, and it broke all my chat. Couldn't read anything, couldn't write. Couldn't even read the quick messages. In a way it was a revelation. I finally was able to treat every other ship as AI instead of expecting a human player to be operating it

Range does help, but it's more that this range means they have different roles. Belfast CAN be played much more aggressive ( eg closer to friendly DD's ) not because it has less range but because it has top notch concealment AND radar. Kutuzov is mostly a one trick pony though it does it really really well especially with IFHE now. But a captain which is equally good in both should imo win more games with Belfast due to the higher impact it can have.

Kutuzov relies on team for spotting, put MK is bad position in smoke and it's not as good. The times where I had my DD's run away leaving me with no spotting and not sure if those enemy BB's are in spotting distance when I come out / smoke dissipates..... That's the problem with OPFast, it could just pop it's radar and if it's clear he can move out due to a> having said radar b> having good concealment c> and the tier 8 concealment module as well as good base concealment making it's radar cover most of it's own detection range.

I just posted that Duca was the only ship available I was interested in right now... I was lying. Harekaze is probably the most interesting premium to date, with 3 different configs. Basically you get 3 ships for the price of one... with a discount.- 146 replies
