I'm very confused, I thought RN would be the line where paper wasn't needed at all edit: nice ninja Tuccy, and thanks for the explanation.

C'mon, there is no info other than a screenshot, it's not even known what the in game specs are. It might even be a 'fake leak', and if not it's utterly incomplete. I'm not getting the pitchforks out yet. -
Use that thread if you want quicker updates, the MultiPack releases are more frequent/expedient than OP get's updated.

You should ask @strangers123 what he does every time he does less than 100k damage in his Yamato Anyway, WoWs -> nope. In WoT I sold and rebought my IS7 many many many times. edit: actually I sold my Shima two times I think.

Wew yeah right, my signature is so pro WG development road map it's unbelievable why they haven't offered me a job yet TESTER just indicates one's presence during certain stages of development, nothing more nothing less. But how many times people have told you that is beyond count already so I guess I just like wasting my time.

Is this possible? Landear did not sunk with 7 torpedos
mtm78 replied to Luis_Veloso's topic in General Discussion
I once took 5 Clemson torps in my Yubari ( tier 4 ). Same principle, all on my stern which had been depleted of hit points earlier so I took no damage at all. The mechanism should be changed though, even if there is no more hp it should bleed it from other sections so you always take some damage. ps. I recon you don't remember a video from a damage saturated Yamato tanking shells for minutes while on double digit hp's? I mean, damage saturation works for all classes even battleships ( Montana got a buff recently with having hp moved from bow and stern and superstructure to casemates, so damage saturation kicks in a tiny bit earlier.. yeah Montana has always been weak to cruisers right, so it really needed a buff there ). -
I switched signature yesterday as the site does seem to be having some issues. It does display my recent stats when I look for them but the signature never updated. And at one time it told me I should play more battles before it could track anything, I attributed that to me having been idle for some time.

Notwithstanding the fact that different level of skill exists in players off all classes, you can't really deny that the attraction of battleships ( not only because of 'iconic' status which is undoubtedly true for some people ) comes mainly because of the inherent traits of the class. These include, amongst others; range, armor, health, heal, ability to do massive damage per strike/salvo and do this every 30 seconds, on some tiers AAA comparable with some cruisers, and at tier 8 which is the top tier most people from the playerbase can play without premium account, they reach a peak compared to the other classes. These traits attract more players who adapt the 'chicken' play style, not only because it's 'safe' but also because they don't really know better ( changes like fixed repair costs and the display and taking into account for XP/credits of potential damage seem to have gone past them as in their meaning, just as the addition as skills like Fire Prevention ). Tutorials or even more 'shaped' economic incentives might be needed to fix this behavior ( like increasing the multi for tanked damage for battleships, maybe even set specific bonus for tanking 'HE spam' + fires as that would even reward/teach proper consumable management/skill tree choices ). I <3 competent BB players in the game ( not so much on the enemy team though ). I play them as well though I don't really enjoy them that much ( exception's aside ), and in some BB's I played I even felt quite incompetent. Just saying, I am not trying to tell everyone BB's are easy to play really well. Playing any class well takes skill, battleships are not the exception ( even carriers take skill, how much some here might like to disagree there is a reason the same CV players keep performing better compared to the rest of them ). It is just that the gameplay was intended to consist of teams with 3 or 4 battleships, not 5 in every game. We had the same issue with Shima 20km torps, there were to many in each game and WG reacted to it. Currently a lot of people are still waiting for this reaction, especially around tier 8. And the impending addition off another battleship line is scary for those who enjoy the gameplay in a ( for them at least ) 'balanced' environment. Then there is the addition of radar on battleships in a tech tree, even when limited this is not a good development in my opinion. These utilities should be reserved to cruisers, even if only to give the battleships another incentive to tank damage for their cruisers and help them survive. I know, someone will come in ( you know who you are ) and say that classes don't have to supplement each other to facilitate team play, that good players will work together as it gives them an advantage even when they alone are also mostly self sufficient. But that forgoes on the fact that good players don't dictate the meta, as evident in random battles. The average player dictates the meta, they make up the hordes which inhabit the server. And the average player needs coaching in what their role is, and they define their role just as good players do, by the traits of their ship. If you make all classes capable of handling themselves 1v1 ( like some battleship players suggest, when asking for buffs vs CV's and DD's ), you tell the average player their role is doing anything they want. I rather they are in their port, notice they have a cruiser and understand their role is to play support. I rather battleship players notice that they are built to depend on cruiser support, and move with them ( or the cruisers move with him, it's not important ) to support/defend them from enemy BB's and cruisers while the cruisers play support ( defend DD's, attack cruisers, deal with planes, offer hydro and radar ). While a destroyer, depending on which one, is supporting the fleet with smoke and screening / supporting the other destroyer which is trying to secure cap's and spot the enemy stealth destroyers / torpedoes. The reason people already for the most part play this way is because their classes / ships dictate this to them, forcing them in roles to be the most effective. If you remove this by diluting the traits of the classes, this cohesion will wither away with it, not for everyone but for the average player. At least that is my personal fear.

Easiest example yeah. The IJN DD which goes of to torp blobs of camping BB's while ignoring to cap the zone's and scout for their own team, that player will probably have a higher damage counter.... but way less win rate and way less average xp.
-
My wr ( even solo ) is way higher then what correlate with my damage done. And that is because I concentrate first and foremost on objectives, and damage comes second ( for me damage is only important if it's utilitarian damage ). And I have seen people who play the same ships as me, have higher damages on average but who don't come near my win rate. This game gladly has a large tactical side as well, the correlation between damage and win rate is far from as rigid as it is in other games ( WoT? ).
-
You mean: better off without them.
-
That is because BBaby boat's require the least amount of skills.
-
Lol..... Yup, that is what a baddy would say if he thinks he has a well founded opinion and finds out he hasn't actually gotten anything. Stats are a tool, like many others... So, having more RTS elements in this game turns it into more of a generic shooter ( for the rest ).... yeah...
-
Ofc mr. I like BB meta comes in and throws up that the game will be worse with less BB's because there will be more HE spam...
-
It's easy man, just put it to private but viewable through a link and post the link, then tomorrow you can set it back to hidden. No 3rd party tracker will get a snapshot and only the people who read the thread and click the link within the day it's active will see why you having a bad hair day would be 'ugly'... edit: ps I should switch signature from ws today to wowsstats or something, at least we wouldn't have these 'unhide your profile' stuff ( top kek btw, even if 3rd party is borked WG portal profile is something new to WG games right ).

Nothing, no bonus ( afaik ). The cammo's are nice though -
York is my second highest wr tier 7 cruiser right after Fiji. Sure that was before introduction of RN and FR cruiser lines but still, it wasn't an unfun grind at all, I do admit I probably had competent teams in the sense that while my wr is higher my damage is lower, so either I did more effective/decisive damage or I got carried :)
