    The answer for you is below ;) ( I hope.. ) Well yeah that's true in a sense. I just know some free2play players which have better stats as me so I just didn't see the 'split' of community based on premium time. But I guess if you want to claim that premium time users are less likely to not care about their performance I tend to agree. The reason you have premium time is to speed up the grind / increase economic returns, and if you want that you automatically care about your performance. Sadly there are still people saving their HP for the next battle, so still while they might care, it doesn't really influence much I fear. This is the answer for waxxx25, and I recon many others.

    Replays dont have shell details they have what your renderer is showing you we already established that earlier didn't we.

    My point is that storing shell paths for every game doesn't make sense to me, the shell path generating code parts will have gone through validation before being put into production which is much more 'valuable' than storing shell paths in order for the possible case of needing to check an accusation off rigging or w/e. I am quite sure there are server logs even with positional data, but I do not think these contain the level of detail you're attributing to them. Adding the io overhead to functions which calculate shell paths and penetration is just not likely imHo. Ofc, I don't have my doctorate like you...
  4. No it doesn't. Iceyjones would be able to tell you if it did... so would I most likely. Blue_Bug is completely right, and it DOES work like that. In your case though, you've encountered the system's limited 'memory'. Each time you do team damage you can breach a threshold. This goes down slowly over time. This 'level' or teamdamage influences how quickly the automated system will punish you. I've been 'normal', got pushed out of my smoke by some pebkac Bismarck ( which already turns me pinks as I just came of a 'pink period'. ) I tell him in chat he's an 'insult' at which time he decides to shoot me. I return the favor with a full torp spread from my Kutuzov ( bad reaction, totally my fault ). He takes at most 5k dmg before all damage get's reflected on my and I die without making a dent in him. From not pink, to dead, without able to damage an ally. That only happens though if your team damage 'meter' is high enough, as the system then attributes INTENT earlier. If it's low, the system is VERY lenient.

    I don't think premium time is a good prediction method to base on the expected level of plays... I mean I'm still not as good as I hope to be someday ( nice word choice right ) but I'm certainly better as I was. And it's back then that I always ran premium time, and now I don't. So no, premium time would make me have to play with the 'bad players' since I would suddenly be a 'bad player'. Not fun. Also didn't that famous haxxxpack for WoT only run with a premium account ( and this lead to many people claiming the reason WG can't 'stop' them is because they don't want to as people need to pay to use it.. )?
  6. Yeah, like me? I think you should be happy with me on your team, or well happier as with the average WoWs player. And that is just me, there are people who have autistic 'labels' who are FAR FAR FAR better players as me ( or well at least more dedicated :P ). I really don't get this reference of bad players and autism, autism is a developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them. It's not mental retardation....

    Replay is a visual representation it doesn't store actual shell paths just enough data to visualize everything the renderer shows. You do realize that what you see in the renderer isn't 100% accurate and in sync with what the server 'says' is happening? And that this game is server side authoritative? They record chat, that's for certain. The rest is mere speculation on your side. Why would they store detailed logs for every battle to react to 'potential rigging' as that is the ONLY reason they NEED to store shell flight path. You didn't finish primary school? I point out the fool has 51% wr, finally found a ship which gives him ( without suddenly being a better player ) 60%+ and still wants to claim this ship is 'balanced'. 1. I use stats to point out reasoning, that's EXACTLY what they are there for. To base things on. Things related to the game. You know, FACTS and stuff. 2. I never told him to shut up, why would I end my sentence with a question mark if I wanted to shut him up ( well the question might be rhetorical that is true.. ).

    You're right, you claimed they log every shell path from every salvo from every ship in every battle . Which I find highly unlikely since it creates unneeded overhead. The visual representation in game is probably a separate client build which receives exact path results from the server to add a visual representation of the shell path for added readability. Maybe you should ask.. As to the rest of your post, I'm going to ignore it since all I can see is blah blah blah blah.
  9. Anecdotal evidence? Lol. I wouldn't mind a Shima with only 10 torps if it means they will be more effective at their job and not be spotted from the moon. Like a Gearing but with better reload.... You know, since Gearing's gun's are actually worth using. And it would actually probably make for more dynamic gameplay for destroyers as well, waiting for reloads can be very unfun, that is why low tier torpedo oriented destroyers are still actually fun ( that and lack of radar / hydro being less frequent ).

    Programming 101 doesn't make sense. Ok, thanks for letting me know. Who is talking about replays? You mention that WG has a tool which checks server logs for actual flight paths, which would be at the most an odd way off doing things but hey at this point I'll admit anything is possible. I simply point out that in programming, functions are tested against unit tests for return values ( programming 101 ). A unit test is a simulation of as much possible input the function could handle, invalid input as well. No programmer who takes himself serious writes codes without doing this, and while I don't agree with certain balance discussions I am not going to claim that WG is hiring bad programmers. For an Dx9 engine we had pretty decent screen iq if you left out the aliasing sucking, and overall server stability is good. Well yes, in that sense that's exactly what a server log would tell you, but what do you query them against -> unit test results to generate a table of return values ;) Point is, WG doesn't check server mechanics based on replays. They might ask for replays to validate running additional unit tests against their server side code though...

    Shell path is the result of a function of code, code has unit tests. You don't check a function result from a log.

    But divisions in weekend have the highest impact, due to influx of weekend players anyone in the division is more likely to have replaced a mouth breather.

  15. A battleship hard counter mechanic? I think this requires it's own thread edit: Maybe, someday soon™ I will have to update my signature edit: nothing to see here guys, totally useless gimmick intended to boost battleship numbers because destroyers will have to choose ammo before a game.
  16. But tovarish, this was added because BB players cried about them having RNG in dispersion and destroyers being so OP they polluted entire server with their presence. Don't you see this can't be undone! Only 'mistakes' like stealth fire which hurts battleships will be removed in the future.... </sarcasm> I <3 the idea, I hate it when RNG messes up a drop which took minutes to perform ( getting in position, time in water for torps count as well as having to reload torps for a lot longer than BB has to load new AP salvo to kill off destroyer ).

    So why are you not better in cruisers? My Hindenburg is more than capable of matching my Zao, guess you need to practise. Also, my mother says it's not nice to throw around deadly diseases showing off how much of a tough guy you think you are. But than again, I actually had an upbringing.

    Nah I just don't feel your target is chosen very well. German BB's I arguably have enough experience with, and for my statements about them I don't even need personal experience. I can say German BB's are to popular even without owning one. I can say what is likely the reason for it as well, because I played some with them and a lot against them. Like I said, you should have chosen Shimakaze as it's the only 'argument' where I do feel I might be very vulnerable if one follows the stramien you're attributing to me. Which btw on it's own is wrong but hey I can repeat that a 100th times and only people who never been on the wrong end of the stick might believe that. In fact I already 'lost' that discussion once, since I AM a total failure of a player in a Shimakaze and my frustration is clearly visible in my feedback on her. The same with the 'rebalance' of IJN line.
  20. This in response to a bug which gave duplicate captains when there should be none ( not even to having duplicate captains as you could get those from missions and this wasn't considered a bug because they could come with different base captain points ). At least that is what I remember.

    240 Nikolai games, that's what, uhm how many hundred of other games in different battleships right up to a Yamato? Should I accuse you of being not experienced enough to judge destroyers even with 800+ games? I have a lot more in battleships my friend.. You don't like it when people want to nerf your precious German battleships ( see, I can ALSO check your profile and apply reasoning to deduct why you're so happy trying to attack the person instead of the FACTS this person is saying ). Server stats shows BBaby infestation pointing to your precious German battleships ( most played bb -> Tirpitz Bismarck Scharnhorst isn't it? ). At least try next time to not appear so transparent, or not to try and accuse me of something which is not even arguably true while your own bias is clearly showing.

    You want to claim I was not a supertester when German battleships were introduced? Wow. You also missed the most important part: all my arguments are supported by facts you can check. That you feel the need to resort to attacking the person right away is a tell tale sign...
  24. Because the collab agreement stated that ships shouldn't be sellable just as captains. Even now collab has ended WG has to adhere to agreements
