Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
mtm78 replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Yeah as sure as can be after Conway confirming it on stream. edit: current heal on streams should afaik still include 30% citadel repair which should be lowered to 10% on release. -
Tell Sub_Octavian as it's something he said, I'm just repeating it...

Why allow mods the show speed and direction?
mtm78 replied to JohnNightOwl's topic in General Discussion
That I don't dispute, I'd like them to be incorporated into the game launcher. disclaimer: I'm not saying WG guarantees modpack functionality, but I for myself am feeling pretty safe about there not being mods which take my log info / steal my account / hack my computer ( wows mods aren't even executables or can access outside of running game instance ). -

They do, as there is WG Modpack. Yes, it's even hosted on WG's own servers. No not all the mods are MADE by them, but do you really think they would put in mods they didn't check before? -
Because battleships are becoming a problem, there are too many and they live too long while doing too much damage.

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"

Nelson keeps same heal as tier IX and X which is RN CL heal without 30% citadel repair ( only 10% instead ). Normal 5xheal + flag = 49k hp restored potentially. Super 4xheal + flag = 114k hp restored potentially. Even Conway just confirmed that on Izo's stream ( unless he misunderstood.. ). Nelson takes lots of he damage and regular ap pen's, it doesn't LOOK broken on streams but I still don't want to face one with a pair of HE spamming cruisers only to see it pop heal... -

Devblog says otherwise, flamu's mention of upcoming nerf was wrong. -
Jingles was shooting HE at BB's at distance because AP would shatter... Great, another way to control BB infestation, making them better at dealing with lightly armored targets.
-
From streams she does seem to need it due to HE spamming being so lethal against it... but still, normal BB I wouldn't mind taking on with a pair of cruisers, but this one seems the perfect anti cruiser battleship with that heal vs my main damage ability ( HE + fires ). Not sure I will like it being in the game. But it's Nelson so I will probably get it anyway <3

What is the best ship to farm citadels?

Aha,,, -
Disgusting, putting in another baby boat to attract more ... let's call em 'players'.

In coop you can take cruisers, in random battles if you need citadels you could take a cruiser and pray to get lucky but it's safer to use a baby boat -

Ahh don't really pay attention to those, I rather play what I feel like playing Tier 4 citadels, take Imperator Nicolai Or tier 6 take Arizona. -

Tier 1 RN cruiser in coop ( I been told yesterday on ts, it's like easy 20 citadels per match ). -
Why allow mods the show speed and direction?
mtm78 replied to JohnNightOwl's topic in General Discussion
But it is, through an independant download I don't think modpack is even announced / linked from front page so that is indeed not the most fair way to go about it, as I said I feel it should be part of the launcher so you can use the launcher to install mods right after an update ( if available already ). -
Yeah DD's aren't targeted by HE spamming cruisers at any time they are spotted He spamming cruiser can be evasion tanked ( well most of them ). AP shooting babies just land 6k casual salvo's on my Sims at 13km and I can't evasion tank alpha damage.

Notser .... yeah he told people great advice about captain skills in the past right? :D I guess he watched the 'real' stream, aka flamu. I missed lots of the stream, like part where they found out about turret angles on the bigun's.

edit: ignore. I was trying to avoid this thread, already unfollowed but I keep clicking on the low quality bait and wanting to respond if I see it in the active threads list... BBaby boats balanced

Not possible tovarish, AP bombs are intended to lower bbaby infestation so ofc WG made sure they do that ( and not anti-cruiser.. )...... Ow wait, this is WG right... same company which could by 'accident' introduce stealth fire to a game, keep it there for years, and then remove it ( but comrade, we didn't buff BB's enough btw, let's LOWER their detection radius while we increase everyone else's. ). Now we're working on our patented AntiCruiserBS torpedoes, which will feck up the meta even more. Ow and tovarish, don't tell them, but average dd player can not be expected to have to switch ammo during a game, they have to few functioning brain cells for that. No no, it's really true, Sub_Octavian told me himself, DD's are to stupid to have to switch ammo. BB's on the other hand are also to stupid, but they get a single shell which does it all, even against DD's. Mostly this. Another failure of WG's balance department involving BBabies or their counters.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Meh it's not like I can't shittalk him back, it's not a biggy. But it's sad that the WoT crowd seems to have finally infected WoWs as well, had hoped the slower paced gameplay would keep the mongs away. -

I just met some wonderful forumites (well not in spirit I guess.. ) which called me an useless autist, shot me, then team killed me, and in the end said something about 'niggers'. Guess I shouldn't post pictures of me and my dog when I was talking about when he ( the dog ) died, people might notice I'm not caucasian and I might be called names in game. Or autist, for that matter. Classy guys, I hope you make your mothers proud -

1, Running light -> same info as smoke stacks -> I don't use it 2. Navigator -> same info as screen or minimap icon, but helps with partially obscured enemies ( makes it easier to see -> quicker action time ) -> I do use it. Since it's in the official WG modpack I don't have any moral issue with using it. I think 'Running light' was nice when we had really bad server lag frequently, as ships jumping made aiming harder and there that mod did help, but under normal operation there no advantage at all ( not even 'easy of use' ). As to 'not fair' argument, i think modpack should be accesible throughout the launcher, taking away any excuse of people calling it 'unfair' since no one can use the excuse of 'limited access' anymore. -
My question was broad, not specific for a premium MM as I don't agree with that concept either. But a 'secondary' game mode which is only available to premium account players isn't unheard off. The issue is in defining which is secondary and which would actually become a primary mode if available. You can make a payed off section with time limits for instance, or other limits which force players into the regular pool.
-
So there are no F2P games with parts of the game being behind a paywall? Mind you, not arguing for a 'premium account MM selection' as I already sad I don't think it would make any difference. But I don't think it's unheard off for a f2p game to have parts of that game behind a paywall.

I concede to the fact that we're likely going to end up disagreeing in the end ( even while I won't totally dismiss your option either ), so let's just skip to that right away You might be right, and the io overhead is manageable and 'needed'.
