    Well for those who don't have Atago, Takao is still a pretty good tier 8 CA... if you have both well you would only play Takao if you're weeb I guess

  7. That was my best game in Tashkent since it was moved to tier 9, having so many scrubs to shoot at really made me tryhard harder
  8. I'm sorry my Trashcan seems to be missing it's smoke, it does have a heal though ( see my point? ). In a good game I have some cap defense points, and I will have HELPED my stealth destroyers secure caps. I don't expect to cap myself, unless it's a domination and I know the game will last as eventually, later in the game as I explained when the enemy DD's lose their close support. then I don't need to fear closing the distance to negate the concealment disadvantage. I played it 3 times today, first time was a loss with only 8k dmg because team forced me to play DD which I couldn't, and I can't really outgun Kutuzov which was defending that flank either ( well I didn't feel I could, he was landing pretty decently and I didn't have full hp ). Second game I could support my division mate in his Fletcher and I get 122k dmg couple of kills. 3rd game I had 112k dmg 2 kills. And those were fun and engaging, because I could play it as a light cruiser. 8.8 concealment without CE ( SE build ), it's just not a traditional DD. Rushing a cap and sitting in your own smoke hoping your team will spot for you and you don't get torped is not how I would describe good Tashkent gameplay. Edit: my average potential damage in Trashcan is close to 1m and that includes when I tried to play it like a capping DD so without survivability build and while running smoke. It's a prelude to Kebab right, you don't camp smoke with Kebab either.

There was this guy being told to 'get moving' in his Trashcan Guy had more potential damage in his DD as I think most BB's on our team ( ow he also had twice the base xp of the Benson I think ) Was a fun game and yeah the banter was a nice extra. I rather not meet Blogis on enemy team but at least he wasn't in a carrier so he's 'managable' :D

    Untill you meet a player who actually has a brain and it doesn't..... So no, you can't use that as example, no matter the amount of window licking mouth breathing scrubs on the server.

Because poor babies had to play so passive because they were spotted to soon by the nasty destroyers and cruisers, hence why they were almost extinct on live server comrade, so we had to bring out new Megazao™ line for the babies as fresh diapers, so they can finally sneak up close to those overpopulated cruisers. I think I will get a raise now, because we fixed big issue on server.

    I don't believe that. I believe uneven number of DD's isn't an issue. Those two things you said there ARE an issue. If WG claims otherwise they are either lying or looking at it wrongly.

    I never tried that, but you can take your IJN captain into ARP ships with no penalty. So now I have two Atago, well one Atago and a Takao.. but both are Takao class

    It's not 'just' DD balance, it's also highly annoying to see one team having four radars and your team having none... even if you have the concealment DD advantage, you can't use it since your spotters will be counterspotted by radar the moment they spot an enemy DD. This CAN be countered/survived, but more frequently leads to a steamroll victory or loss depending on which team you're in. And yet we have a meta which I think many agree to not be 100% healthy. Just saying, besides their access to these statistics, there is also the case of their interpretation and longer term plans/goals having in influence on things. We long been told IJN DD's were fine.. then they actually needed buffs. We were long told BB AP on DD's was fine... now this requires a rework of penetration mechanics :) Which are good things in that they do acknowledge problems and fix or indicate willingness to address them. edit: for example, WG might consider the frequency in which MM stacks radars, or ship roles of any kind, on one team to be to low to be significant. But my enjoyment of these highly incidental games ( seen from a server average point of view ) is much more affecting how I feel about the game as they expect because they just focus on the low frequency while I might just so dislike those matchups it's actually for me a bigger issue not defined by the low frequency.
  21. I expect we get some new maps when they add clan wars... I don't really think the lineup used in tournaments now would really work in CW setting ( even if they want small teams ). Those new maps should be more tuned to higher tier but smaller size teams..... hopefully... I mean a man can dream right?

    For this case these stats support my gut feeling WG didn't convince me, they just reaffirmed my initial thinking. The DD matching rules on their own are ok. It's much more damaging to only get bad concealment DD's vs high concealment DD's then it is to have 1 DD less or more. And also more frequent.

    I'd say it's just as easy to block a cap with 1 DD or two depending on the stages of the game. As long as you have concealment advantage that is. Equal concealment get's iffy, worse concealment you basically will be driven out eventually ( smokeplay and radar/hydro left aside ). I can remember games in early IJN DD's where I almost only spotted enemies and pointed and pressed F3, and that actually worked really. Whole game is moving to gimmicks, because clearly using concealment system was to 'complicated' for new players. Having to learn tactics with mechanics like radar / hydro and plane spotting, as well as having already the least reliable type of weapons ( due to time to evade, and having battleship size gaps in NARROW SPREADS good work crying bbabies ), is obviously really simple in comparison

    Which just means that splitting up sometimes as DD's to contest different caps from the start is a bad thing with a numerical disadvantage... but sadly non DD players never realize this and go cry for noob DD to be useful.
  25. Please tell me how Trashcan is supposed to stop a cap? I can't block it because I'm spotted WAY before stealth destroyers with the same MM, and I don't even run smoke? Trashcan is a leech, it was an excellent leech at tier 8 I felt, I dislike it strongly on tier 9 as we basically kept the same ship with worse MM. Would you expect a Khaba to try and stop a cap by blocking it, or would you like your Khaba to be alive 15 minutes into the game having spend 14:30+ of that time firing guns at anything in range? MM might say it's a DD, it has a different role. That is what is wrong with current MM, it totally disregards ship ROLE which is at least as important as class. The same applies to radars, MM ignores which ships have it and it can create really 'unfair' encounters. Even if it's almost an non issue if it's not to common, it's still highly annoying when it happens and I have to spend 20 minutes trying to counter a MM imbalance. Same goes for the other way, I don't enjoy those 8m games in which enemy can't get a single cap and just folds due to desperately trying to limit the point pressure. Sorry, Trashcan can't enter a cap with a Fletcher capping when that Fletcher has support, which it most certainly has during the start of a game. Mid / late game when the ships have thinned out you can play like that, but not at game start. And when that's the case, I am already long split from spotter DD as he's hunting BB's and I'm securing tactical positions ( like contesting any potential counter cap attempt ).
