    It doesn't make sense to boost already overperforming ships relative to their counters though. But I guess that they can't not adhere to the rule without actually 'hard nerving' a premium and they don't want that.
  2. Actually I would like the game to be balanced on most tiers. Tier 1 - 4 are the newbie area 5 - 6 is where you seperate the babies from the men, 7 - 8 is where babies start to cry for more diapers even when they should be potty trained by now and 9 - 10 aren't really better as one of the two before. The only thing which is best at tier X is cruiser balance in relation to MOST same tier battleships.

    Capping is a multiplier. Do damage get X xp do damage AND cap get X * 1.x XP.

    Meh just play torp DD's for 20 games and it's normal trust me ;) Don't use smoke dependant ships, the bumps will keep the damage meter ticking. Ow and btw, I'm up for a division later

    It works both ways, don't do team damage and it ramps down again over time.
  12. Running win10 pro, no issues so far. The only thing which suddenly became a thing is that having twitch open while playing makes twitch stutter, so I will do the reg fix to turn of xbox server.
  13. This. It's a gameplay related issue, and it's not worse as having to rely on your five battleships to not be useless in positioning.
  14. So you're saying that a DD can't be at the whim of it's battleships just because it can solo cap? You do need more than stealth to win a game, without battleships in the right positions to exert map influence it's often not even possible to cap if the enemy's DD's do have cruiser support, and it's battleships which influence where cruisers can go on a map. Being at the whim of four destroyers is as much a gameplay related issue as being at the whim of your five battleships.

  17. In all honesty, and WG will not like me for saying it, but this game left beta way to early. If these things happened in a beta setting no one would really cry foul I think. I do believe dev's have an idea of where to go, it's just that the one who drew the roadmap didn't mark north properly so the drives is now getting directions from the guy in the seat next to him holding the map upside down That being said, I'm not sure this roadmap contained detailed plans for the "Year of CV's"
  18. Yes that is why I said no stacking, take two shima's + two Grozovoi's. That way you get 4 DD's which we sometimes had before with Shima, but those were 4x20km decent concealment torps and they dictated meta. Now, having two Shima's and two Grozovoi's, yes I see good players top scoreboards with them often but I don't think average joe is having much success in them ( and if they don't have that much influence, how can they dictate meta? ). Having to many torpedo boats just makes battleships play more passive, true. Having to many ( good ) gunboat DD's can also dictate meta ( though they will always be spotted so it is not as bad as a torpedo soup meta ), also true. But if you have TWO torpedo destroyers and two gunboats, that's not to bad is it? The problem is hybrids, how would you classify those? 4xGearing is still a lot of torp potential, as well as being gunboats ( up close? ).

  20. It has pretty anemic in smoke penalty to concealment when next patch hits.

You should be rewarded for flanking, but you just don't rush to launch fished right away you first focus on cap's and getting a pressure advantage on enemy team and then you try and get those rewarding flank shots. What I mean is, flanking shots can land most damage but are hard to get off ( aka launch.. ). If you make DD capable of continously sending waves of long range torps to bow on battleships AND be effective at that, what happens if you DO get to a BB's broadside? Considering they work bow on, getting those same torps in a broadside situation would certainly not be balanced. IJN torps are fine anti BB weapons IF NOT for their crappy concealment. But WG is afraid that better concealment influences all classes not just BB's. I died to many IJN torp in my DD's, even with worse concealment in the areas you fight it's just not always possible to avoid them all. Getting better concealment on them alone would make this more frequent and WG does not want this. Shima ofc is already the DD with the most torpedo DD kills. So why not keep 12km range ( or make it 15km, it still makes me throw up a bit inside that Japan, the nation which actually made working torpedoes during the war, have worse torpedoes as USN which had major issues during their development program ), but make them more stealthy and make them ONLY hit capital ships ( BB / CV ). Historical, heck no, draft based is more 'immersive' but it's also imho just plain stupid and not even worth considering. And I will be happy when even THAT comes out as true in the end.

  23. According to them, battleships are becoming a problem they live to long and do to much damage. Have you seen what they did to IJN DD's? Because of 'torpedo soup'? Yes, it was disgusting and it's good they changed it, but since they made that statement about battleships they didn't show any intent of actually fixing it OTHER than the most recent smoke changes which actually indeed limit battleships a lot more as people seem to realize. So no, even if they have the statistics, I don't think they are making the right decisions, and yes that makes me sad as I want to really love this game as much as I did before. The problem is when it's not longer subjective, like saying stuff and getting called coo-coo only to find out in the end you been right all along I might be coo-coo without a doubt, but I was not wrong. Yes, and yes. But I'm still pretty well informed as is anyone who even just follows the news. Like how sitting back helped prevent the release of a BB line with defensive AAA and radar? There is a time for sitting back, and there is a time for pitchforks and tar and feathers. I will leave it to every individual situation to decide what is an appropriate choice between the two.
