    Du hast nur falsche Optionen. Entweder du gehst voll auf AA (eine Sache in der die Balti gut ist) und genießt 50% CV-freie Spiele in denen du extra-nutzlos bist, oder du gehst auf Guns und upgradest deine Schiff-zu-Schiff Kampffähigkeit von ultraschlecht zu sehr schlecht. Wenn du die NO nicht mochtest dann brauchst du für die Baltimore nerven aus Stahlseilen. Dicken Stahlseilen.

The top atlanta players dont reach the numbers that are possible with lets say a Myoko. Both in terms of damage and winrate. Again, check my link. 3. You know one can filter for solo/division? Your stats for solo are like I posted and theyre sh*t when compared to the average T5-7 cruiser in all facettes but planes shot down. (Note: not you play sh*t, your ship is sh*t.) 4. With demolition expert your firechance will go from 5% to 8% which is 60%, not 42%. Doh. 5. Yes it is all about damage. Ship-kills win games, not plane-kills. With the decline of carriers numbers, the Atlanta got all the more useless. 6. All my hightier-cruisers are crap, because theyre american and 5. applies. But: None is as bad as Atlanta, for ships with 50+ battles played. Its noteworthy that I do excellent in the Atlanta - for an Atlanta.

    They have been inferior to the japanese even during the golden age of CVs. Ship-kills win the games, not planekills.

    Nonsense. You can look at serverstats for the Top 10%, hell you can even look warshipstats-leaderboard for the top 25 or so players and even they underperform with it. Please stop with that "people just dont how to play it"-fairytale, because if actually no one can play it to its strenghts the problem lies within the ship, not the players. Edit: I wonder why Atlanta players are always deceiving themselves. Its okay to do a misbuy sometimes. (If it is one, fun can be had, but performance of the ship is pisspoor), For example you, juan_de, you got ~51% and ~29k avg damage in solorandom. While this is okay for an Atlanta, it is just crap even when compared to many T5s. You do more damage with your Phoenix and I do more with my Tenryu, a bloody T3! Atlanta is just helpless when it cant shoot at planes, which is the only thing it does right.

    All those who vote "no" have obviously no fcking clue about the ship. Even if they down-tiered it to T5 without any further modifications, it would still be beaten by the Murmansk on that tier. Thats how insanely bad it is. It is completely misplaced on T7 in its current form.

    Atago got reduced ruddershift time and rep-crew. I see no reason not to give Atlanta better ruddershift time and smoke. As it is now (and been since release actually) Atlanta is just horribad from a performance pov.

    Auf Höhe der Reling?! Und dann willst du auch noch höher zielen? Bei dir liegt das Problem nicht bei so Sachen wie "bissl höher zielen" oder so. Da laufen schon wesentlich grundsätzlichere Dinge schief. Versuchs mal mit Treffern Mittschiffs auf Höhe der Wasserlinie.

    That is true, however it is not unlikely for a CV to sink a DD. After all, he needs 2 torpedos-hits, and no other class can bring them so close. Obviously. Some CVs go actively hunting them. I doubt the damage-distribution of CVs is that much different to a CA actually. As damage is known to influence XP the most, theres no reason to search for a difficile reason for the high XP-averages of CVs. I take Ockhams razor. Edit: It is pretty riddiculous to believe there is a correction factor in XP for time spent in battle. Lonegr survival simply means more damage which - surprise - means more XP. Everything revolves around damage.

    Because damage done correlates near-perfectly with winrate ( because mirror-mm now only between CVs), XP gained and credits earned. In other word, damage equalls success and importance in a match. WG wants CVs to be stronger. I think thats a dumb design idea, but thats the way it is. However: Midway outperforms Hakuryu by a big margin both in damage and wins. If we assume that IJN CVs are in their desired state after the last patches (still more powerful than any other non-CV, as mentioned), it is the Midway that is the outlier and needs to be changed.

    Die Geschütze bzw. die verwendeten Granaten sind ab dem zweiten Rumpf dieselben, alle gefühlten oder tatsächlichen Abweichungen der Durchschlagsleistung bei denselben Zielschiffen sind also entweder Pech, Einbildung oder der Spieler aimt anders. Ich hab die Amagi genauso gespielt wie die Nagato, mit gutem Ergebnis (93k avg auf Amagi). Außer rumgesnipe auf maximale Entfernung und permanentes nicht-Anwinkeln kann man eigentlich garnix falsch machen. Gerade die Amagi kann weit winkeln und trotzdem noch feuern. Gern habe ich auch folgendes gemacht: Sofort full speed mit den tollen 30kn in eine relativ weit vorgeschobene Position, wenden, verlangsamen und die auftauchenden Gegner im "Rückzugsgefecht" bombardieren. 3 Türme liegen ja hinten, stehen also immer zur Verfügung. Die anderen beiden kann man mit wenig Drehen in kurzer Zeit in Position bringen. Dann wieder maximal anwinkeln/geringstes Profil zeigen. Im Gegensatz zu den typischen "Querfahrern" ist man damit auch recht unattraktiv für DDs.

    Ich weiß nicht *was* du falsch machst, aber irgendwo muss der Wurm drin sein. Die Amagi ist kein schlechteres Schiff als die Nagato, überhaupt nicht. Server-statistisch ist sie das beste Schiff der ganzen Linie in Sachen Winrate, beim Schaden schlägt sie sogar die T9-Izumo.

    Includes ancient data, therefore worthless. Last snapshots shows Midway at ~55% winrate and Hakuryu at ~42%, meaning Haku even loses against failmatched Essexs a fair amount of time. Riddiculously imabalanced. As Hakuryu is rarely a source of complaints and her damage-values are much more in line with the other ships ( Haku is still outperforming every non-cv in combat-stats, because WG wants it to be that way) the only logical conclusion is a Midway-nerf. Why does this even have to be discussed?

    Die Atlanta ist jetzt immerhin das einzige Schiff welches unbegrenzt Ladungen für das Flakfeuer hat. Eine nennenswerte Aufwertung gegenüber den anderen Schiffen ist das aber nicht. Die Atago wird jetzt spürbar vorbeiziehen in den Serverstats. Die Atlanta bleibt damit damit wohl der "worst buy" unter den verfügbaren Premiumschiffen.

    High tier IJN destroyer gameplay, pure RNG

    Imho main problem for DDs are still CVs (and spotter planes). In a game with 2 carriers the air is thick with planes flying around in every possible direction, spotting your torps and ship which causes permanent shellfire from the nearest enemy cruisers. 1,5-2 mins of reload and an almost guaranteed miss because planes fcking everywhere. These games are ruined from start. It is the carrier-free games that sometimes give you damage-numbers and the good feeling of a successful battle. I can understand that the ship-detectability from air is already unrealistically low, but torpedoes are much harder to detect.

    Jetzt 3 Spiele mit dem Imperator gespielt. Scheint sich schon rumgesprochen zu haben, dass das Ding gefährlich ist. Alles was irgendwie einen Torpedo trägt yolo auf mich drauf. In allen 3 Gefechten war ich mehr am rumkurven als mit der Yamato in einem 3xShimakaze+Midway-Spiel. "New ship! Must kill!" Von in Ruhe gelassen werden keine Spur.

    Well of course they can not just switch the tank for a ship and keep doing exactly the same things. But it comes close. Once you figured out a few important things and adapted to the changed pace of the game, all feels very similar.

    Wrong. Theres a tier-modificator. You can check averages on stats-sites. F.e. japanese regular BBs from T3 to 10: 490 - 608 - 820 - 1036 - 1282 - 1402 - 1388 - 1969 http://maplesyrup.sweet.coocan.jp/wows/ranking/20151031et/average_ship.html Average XP per game generally rises with tier. Per minute would be another question. Could roughly be the same through all tiers though, as games tend to take longer the farther up you go.
