  2. Well of course the player has his part too. If someone is just incredibly good in working with the strenghts of a certain ship, or incredibly good in mitigating its weaknesses, he can do better with it than with a generalist. This doesnt seem to happen very often however. The majority of players who own for example Zao and Des M do better in Zao.
Also eher strategische/taktische Überlegungen.

Some interesting info around the world

Huh, youre right. I always read it as +60% accuracy instead of -60% dispersion which are completely different things. Skill description indeed says -60% reduced dispersion, or in other words more than double the accuracy. Could indeed be intersting on a selct handful of ships.
Man sieht halt, was man sehen will. Psychologischer Bestätigungsfehler.
  8. A simple thing essentially. For (solo)randoms it is generalist > specialist. The less prominent weaknesses you have, the better. It was that way in WoT like forever and I see little difference to WoWs in that regard. The Zao with better camo, good armor, torpedos, flatter trajectory and 2 sorts of equally useful shells is just much more versatile than the others. AA? It is not planes shot down that matter in a 10 match, but torpedoes and bombs you and your team can evade because of defensive fire. In that regards Zao isnt even far behind Des Moines too.

    Michail Kutusow - T8 Premiumkreuzer

Yamatos secondaries, the best in game, are still crap. You simply cant polish a turd. Buffing a 5-8% base-accuracy by 60% wont yield much. For the sick cost of 5 skill points you will surely be better of with getting some more of the T1-3 skills. Just like it is now basically. Theres just no T5-skill thats really worth the investment on a BB-captain.

Lolnope. Even if they buffed the skill to 100%, effectively doubling secondary accuracy, they would still shoot all over the place.
  12. I know this. I explained why I think it is okay. I didn tforget anything. I dont however know what the hell you want from me. See, basically everyone who didnt grind a new captain with Kutuzov got 19,1km from the start. That is almost every russian DD-player, Murmansk-player, Nikolai-player, etc. They will still have 19,1km in 0.5.3 if changes come that way. The only thing everyone with a decent captain will effectively gain is some super-minor rpm buff and maybe a few spare skill points which will yield little effect. You get what I mean now?
  13. Tbh, I just assumed an EM-change to 0,7°/s for all guns. The numbers fit perfectly. Right now it is 5,4°/s, with EM adding another 2,5°/s it is 7,9°/s. Ship now gets buffed to 7,2°/s. Difference to old top-value is 0,7°/s which is exactly the value EM now gives for guns >155mm caliber. Coincidence?
  14. A.F.T. Advanced Firing Training. You know, the thingy that gives the Kutuzov 19,1km range right now? This thread is basically all about it. Dont riddicule yourself. Also check a dictionary for "compensation".

Don't you think USN tech tree is too weak?

That yes. But RNG and MM is nonsense, obviously. Edit: Still I have no reason to believe the skill-difference of the players of both lines is more than irrelevantly tiny.
  16. Youre talking about how OP this and that on the ship is. Play it before you start fantasizing about hiding your BB-like braking, BB-sized monstrosity of a ship in offensive smoke without getting torped and citadelled to hell and back. I would be with you if serverstats showed the ship to be OP in any way, but aside from planes shot down theres nothing outrageous to see there. Have a go on Imp Nikolai or something, but you being furious about the literally only non-OP russian premium is a bit absurd.
  17. How would I forget? I own the fcking thing. Unlike you it seems.
  18. Kutuzov is in no way pay2win. In fact it is much better balanced (read: it is weaker) than Murmansk, Nikolai, Aurora or Gremyaschi. I dont own the latter two, but Murm and Nikolai are an insult to free players. Anyone who really believes Kutuzov will enter pay2win-territory with an effective 0,13rpm-buff (rest is 100% compensation) is a mongoloid. Well, assuming your captain was already at 4th skill and you dont reskill because this captain serves on russian DDs as well. So its a major buff for everyone who had a crap captain on it and for the duration you needed to get to 4th skill. The rest of us just doesnt get a kick in their asses by devaluating a [edited]60€-ship into an Atlanta 2.0. I surely wont blame WG for being sensible once. Edit: tl;dr for the whole topic: I can understand peoples concerns and arguments about WoWs becoming WoPremiumWs. It is just the point that Kutuzov because of her playstile and dependance on rof and range (hey, it has no camo and a citadel bigger than some entire ships!) would suffer harder than any other CL. A compensation is fair.

Don't you think USN tech tree is too weak?

Looks at some 100k battles played and arguments with RNG and luck. Oh my. The BS is real with this one.
  20. I didnt ask for buffs. I merely stated that the loss of AFT and BFT without compensation would make the ship uncompetitive. I stand to that and consider it fact. Also thanks for the advice, but I think I do very well know how to Kutuzov.
  21. Without the effects of AFT and BFT, Kutuzov would be close to being another Atlanta which is, all in all, nothing but pure bullpoop. We really dont need another Atlanta, this time for 60 instead of 30€. Btw, what does give the mentioned lowtier-cruisers with the right captains the right to outclass everything else because of faildesigned perks? This has nothing to do with balancing for tomatoes. WG did the right thing this time: Reworking the perks and compensate the ship that would suffer the very most.
  22. Because Kutuzov would suffer extra heavy in a meta not cruiser-friendly already. It is based on range and rof (whereas Atago is more based on stealth, alpha, durability) and is only really competitive with AFT and BFT active. Everyone that plays it above average has these running as they are absolutely mandatory. On the other side we have a lot of light cruiser that perform very well as is and go into overperform-mode with AFT/ BFT. Kuma, Mogami, Luis, Omaha, Murmansk, Cleveland... I dont see the changes to the perks or to Kutuzov as especially problematic.
  23. It is a buff, but mainly for people with sh*t-captains. For players with good captains almost nothing changes. -Range was 19,1km with AFT before, is now 19,1km. Points will most likely stay at AFT for the AA-radius or use on DDs. -Turret Rotation was buffed exactly so much as to compensate for the loss of the caliber-bonus of expert marksman. Points will stay there though as even 0,7°/s will help the ship. The effective buffs are +0,13rpm (a little overcompensation for loss of BFT). Depending on captain theres maybe 1-4 skill-points you could spend on other perks now. The effective gain is extremely small.

Don't you think USN tech tree is too weak?

Cant argue about that. If someone likes to play Pensacola, New Pensaleans, Pensamore and a turbocharged Des Pensoines for some 500 battles, thats fine. Statistically they arent exactly overperformers though. (They were not even great when carriers were abundant).

Don't you think USN tech tree is too weak?

Single ship issues imho. The branches are generally fine. The only exception is maybe the cruiser- line which lacks a real highlight from T7-10. Not only do all those ships play the same, they are also all underperforming with the exception of Des Moines (which is still quite a bit situational).
