@Kamikazesushi: If you wanted to avoid these situations you practically couldnt use torpedoes at all. I accept the fact that once every 500-1000 games or so I hit an super-oblivious or on-the-phone-ally. Or a griefer. Apparently you dont even get pink when its so rare.

Starting to wonder about teammate survival rates.

Survival is a lowbobs favourite stat and excuse. Q: Dude, why the hell have you been camping the whole game, achieving nothing? A: Shut up man, you dead. Because being alive > any significant contribution to the match. Isnt that obvious? -

Strike setups are vastly superior to fighter oriented setups in randoms. Check any stats-site and filter for highest damage and plane-kills. Then compare winrates. The difference is so big it isnt even funny. Teamplay doesnt mean to be everyones best friend and savior, but to help achieve the common goal of winning. Sinking ships helps the team win. Please stop giving him bad ideas. -
Neither do I. I was not posting in defense of OP. Not really. It is just that I launched literally hundreds or even thousands of torps that could have hit an ally, if this ally *wanted* to be hit. "Your torps, your responsibility" is just a mere rule of thumb. It can be wrong in rare cases. Once we get clantags here, this sort of topics might increase. As an ex-member of renowned and hated WoT-Clans I have seen my share of malevolent people.

If someone is repeatedly pink, hes very most likely someone who just doesnt care when and where he launches his torpedoes. Im sure 90+% of pinkies deserve their new color. (In 4000 games in mainly torpedo-CL and DDs I was never pink btw) Im just stating that it is perfectly thinkable that griefers exploit the teamdamage mechanics. Cant you see it? Just make an effort to drive into friendly torps and tell everyone to report the teamkiller. Great success in trolling, because according to the forums the ship that released the torpedoes is to blame. No matter the circumstances.
-
Holy crap, get your gamemechanics straight, baddies. Each ship accumulates his own points in the circle at full rate. (Capping accelerates for up to 3 ships in circle). An ally getting shot in the circle doesnt prevent you from capping on your own, he mereley loses his points. If I ever see someone teamkilling a capping ally will release my remaining unused reports on him. All of them.
-
If you wanted to be 100% sure to not hit any allies under any circumstances thinkable, you couldnt fire torps for 75% of the duration of the battle. Sometimes you just have to take the risk because hitting an ally is extremely unlikely. Personally I have never seen someone steering into friendly torpedoes on purpose, but I am absolutely not surprised that this happened to other people. This is onlinegaming. As*holes everywhere. Sadly theres not much you can do besides reporting. The interesting aspect behind this behavior is that the griefer will gain lots of support with his intentional suicide. He will have no problems to convince his team to report the alleged teamkiller, as you can see here on the forums.

Skill manuelles Feuern der Sekundärbewaffnung, Skill Top oder Flop?!

Schade. -

Der 5er Skill verbessert die Flak? Hab ich was verpasst? -

Ziemlich konservativ.

Such is life! Dogpoop made me an HE user. Some things you just find out by digging deep into your childhood memories... -

You didnt do something like that? We put dog feces in our snowballs and threw them at each other. Usually it didnt do much harm because the shite was frozen and didnt stick. Unless you hit the head and some of the snow and shite fell down that persons neck. Boom! Detonation! Generally speaking snowball fights in closed childhood times (CCT) were much better. When someone showed you broadface you were sure to get some tasty crying. Nowadays when you hit other adults in the face they threaten you to call the police and sue you. Sux. -
The Great Battleship Plague of 2016
allufewig replied to CatOnKeyboard's topic in General Discussion
Probably just because the game was new and exciting. I had a lot of fun in CBT too (except for that balancing disaster that was carriers and that absolutely rtarded 20% draws in higher tiers). Soem changes since then boil down to personal taste, but objectively speaking it wasnt a better game. Looking at some available stats like balancing parameters, it was a worse game with less content. -

The Great Battleship Plague of 2016

Reading this postings, it sounds like beta was a wonderland of cheer and happiness with balancing and teamplay around everywhere. What a load. Things were different, but not better per se. Teamplay wasnt better and both individual ship and class-balancing was even utter crap. -

(Very) Bad Advice:JPN DDs should not use guns
allufewig replied to Sadstories's topic in General Discussion
I think everyone has seen those "I-never-use-guns"-IJN DDs that desperately try to torp the enemy 1000HP ship in close combat instead of firing one or two volleys. Always a good laugh, unless the idiot is in your own team. -

You can filter them out as well and only look at the turd ships or only compare WR on a specific ship and gamemode. Everything regarding WR is separated in WoWs, making it a good metric for measuring performance. Edit: Just saying this in general, not necessarily linked to the "flagship-approach",
-
WoWs allows for filtering div/solo. WR pimping by division or company play is a WoT-problem only.
-
In practice it is hitting the target, nothing more. It appears it doesnt even have to be a certain spot related to magazines. There have been Yamatos blown up by DD He into the superstructure, BBs blown up by torpedos to the belt midships and I have blown up other DDs by just hitting their sides. Hit the enemy. The dice roll for insta-deletion. (With an extra bonus chance on DDs and full-health-targets. Because that makes oh so much sense.)
-
Whenever I read such topics it gets clear to me that people just love their random moments. Just waiting for WG to introduce random dud-shells, dud-torpedoes, random numbers on damage and penetration, random engine fails etc.... Because why not, in the end its both realistic and, over a large enough number of battles, fair. The less predictable and skill-based the game gets, the better it gets. Do I understand that right folks?
-
What does that have to do with BB whining? BBs probably even explode the least, but it affects every class. Complaints about random diceroll-executions are hardly comparable with your usual "OMG torpedoes tooo stronk remove"- lowbob whinery.
-
a) It were exactly the same people. I remember some names. b) R*tard-levels of turret destruction on some ships have been reduced a few patches ago. c) Turret destruction mechanic, unlike detonations, can retain some level of skill. Going for turrets on DM etc is a thing I do. Detonations have increased with the module changes. That 100% RNG BS is rampant.
