  1. So, I expect some flak for this, but having just been reported three times in two games for "playing like a coward" and "being a looser {sic}", I'm in spleen-venting mode. I play all classes and all nations. I play for fun. I play to unwind after a long day. I play random battles. Most of my stuff is no higher than T5/6. I participated in the last few PTS tests and 0.5.12.0 was highly anticipated for someone like myself, who isn't a glory hunter, but someone who tries to support the team. Except that's not how it seems to be working out, at least for me. Game one, I'm driving a Kongo in a T6 match and using my excellent range to sail about to accurately snipe cruisers and other BBs from afar. I find myself being cornered by two HE-spamming cruisers and a DD, circa 12km range, so I show them my tail, angle-off and kite away. Cue derision from first one, then two (in division) cruiser drivers (both of whom are dead despite being only five minutes into the game) about how I'm a coward, not helping the team, why am I not brawling, etc. Neither of them had the SA to not get themselves killed and yet here they are, smack-talking and reporting me for bad play. As it turned out, our team lost, but I got top score. Great. Yay :/ A few games later and I'm in my AA-build Cleveland on Neighbours, standard mode, T7, starting in the South. Pretty much everybody sails West except myself, a Konigsberg, a New Mexico and a Mutsuki. Mutsuki and NM sit there afk for a good three to four minutes whilst the Konigsberg and I sail around in circles, probing the islets to the North-East. Get spotted by an enemy DD somewhere, open the range a bit and then keep offering myself as torpedo bait (and shooting down the occasional aircraft) whilst requesting support and hoping the DD wakes up. Konigsberg gets bored and slopes off to the West to become target practice for the pair of Gneisenaus on the other side of the map. The DD wakes up and immediately high-tails it in the opposite direction, ignoring requests for help and support. Gets salvoed by a Scharnhorst. NM also wakes up and immediately sails due North, cops a whole load of AP and then limps back South. Meanwhile, the enemy DD (or DDs...) is still out there and getting closer to our lone CV and home plate. I've got a good idea just where judging by where the torps are coming from, so I stalk him again, hoping to ruin his day with a ton of HE. Cue whining from (dead) Scharnhorst that I'm "chicken" and "going away" (think he meant sailing in the opposite direction to the rest of the lemming train). I tell him I'm hunting a DD, something I've already mentioned in chat and pinged the map location about. More abuse. Our CV, however, realises what's going on and sends air support. Lo and behold, Kamikaze R pops up, just where I expected him to be. Kill DD. Doesn't matter in the end as CV and I are last to die, all the while the Scharnhorst driver is calling me every name under the sun. He reports me, too. Nice. What is wrong with people? They seem to have taken the new game mechanic to mean if you're not 100% banzaii-ing into oblivion then you're not playing as part of the team. I totally agree that there have been folks in the past who have just sat in their BBs at the back of the map, utterly stationary, popping shots at anything that wanders into range, and that's not fun, but to be playing to the strengths of your class (and specific vessel) and to be called names and reported? WTF is that all about? Way to suck the fun out of the game [/rant]

    "Detailed report" screen question

Ok... Thanks guys. Definitely not my kind of thing, but at least I know (if not understand) why. Cheers.
  3. Hi folks, just finished a battle and noticed the little green ship's wheel over the icon for the ARP Kirishima I damaged. What does this indicate, please? Cheers.
