I don't know what other Aoba Captains are doing but I managed to defeat a Cleveland in a duel once. Just got to know where to aim. Well if the Cleveland Captain would have aimed better I probably would have lost but it is not impossible to win against a Cleveland.

Got to agree with sunday. I really love playing my Aoba and she is one of my best ships at the moment. I had many games with her where I got 3-4 kills (which I don't get to often with other ships). I know that she is worse then the Cleveland but she is way more fun in my opinion.

I have been mainly playing IJN DDs since the beta started and I have to say I agree with you. I currently have a Fubuki and it is pretty difficult to get good results in her but I wouldn't go as far as to say that they are unplayable. On the other side I really loved playing T5 and lower DDs but now I only hope that the Shimakaze will be good.
