    Going square eyed.

Ahoy shipmates, I've a problem that's been bugging me for sometime but with Covid-19, I'd put it on the back burner. The problem I have is when I fire a shell. the tracer appears as a square rather than a round ball. As I run Aslains Mods, I thought this may be the reason. To counter this, when a new upgrade came out, I didn't run "Aslains Mods", but the square tracer was still apparent. Last week, like a dork, I managed to delete WoWs from my HD whilst doing a disk clean up. Ah, I thought, a fresh download (without Aslains) will sort the problem out, obviously it didn't. So I'm hoping at least one of you guys has had this problem and can point me in the right direction. I apologise In advance if this problem has been posted before and I've missed it, I'll put it down to age... Regards Britzkrieg

Animate small objects box ticked. Looks as if I will have to do a complete clean of WoWs from my HD. This will happen when I get my upgraded M.2 SSD drive and faster internet, until then, I'll live with the bug. Thanks to all for advice...

No, all I see are square rather than tennis ball tracers, It's not like I've never had round tracers before. I had the thought of deleting all trace of WoWs off my PC, but I have such a ball achingly slow internet, I can't stand the wait. I have no problem with tracer in WoT, strange... Will try, tthank you...

Thank's Pete, drivers are up to date and I have no others issues to note when flying on DCS World.

What's the point in playing a battleship?

I know how you feel but BB's do need a different style of play. Stay on the "start line" and you will be sunk by the enemy breaking out from the flank. Try to form a battle group around you and let the DD's smoke out the enemy and add support to your cruisers who should be supporting you with AA fire. I try not to fire all guns at once as 30sec reloads can leave you vulnerable. Accuracy is a problem, my gunners would have a problem hitting the barn let alone the door. My main gripe is turret rotation direction, for example: Running parallel to the target and guns at 45 degrees and changing tack to run on a reciprocal course, the turrets turn 270 degrees rather than 90 degrees to get on target. Not a problem with say a Cleveland, but an eternity with a New York. So my advise would be more of a team player and add your fire power to your flotilla. Kapitän Von Britzkrieg

Ye quick beginners guide to World of Warships

Thank you Sir A very informative guide. At last I know what my 'Y' Key does on my Cleveland, and what my Scout plane can do. Talking Scout planes, wouldn't it be good if you could direct you Scout plane to a search area to find those pesky carriers! Salute Kapitain Von Britzkrieg

    Greetings mates!

Salute to my fellow Commanders To be honest, I was surprised to be having this conversation. I bought my premium "Simms" destroyer in the pre-order package and expected to be only able to use it when WoWarships went OBT. An hour or so after purchase I noted I could download "Warships". As for performance issues, you guys should have no problems. My antique rig (Q6600 2.85Ghz 4Gb Ram MSI 460 GTX 1Gb Win Vista 32) runs 35 fps+ on high settings. For a 74 YO Recycled Teenager such as myself, the game looks promising. I'll never be a ace player such as some of you young whipper snappers, but I have my moments of brilliance. Trouble is, in WoT, I tend to cover the "passes" to catch the "posse", whilst other players chase down the flanks or camp base. The consequence being that lot's of time I'm "last man standing". At the moment, "Warships" is playing more like WTGF (which is not a bad thing), ie, needing more brain power. My highlights at the moment was on my 3rd mission with the Simms, when I was being chased down by 2 destroyers. They were zigzagging and when they both crossed each other, I fired a broadside and sank both of them, I couldn't stop laughing. I wish the Dev's would do something to stop Islands leaping out at my ships LOL. Joking apart, this Sim could be a classic, many thanks to you early CBTer's Britz
