Yep. Max is one of the most consistent carriers somehow on Random battles. The funny thing is that the torps have 6km range and crawling, which means they stay active for pretty long time and had several times aimed at one target, missed 1-2 torps and later on hit someone else who just turned and passed on their path.

Someone posted they have all 4 sub lines on x2. We have 3 too and the IJN carriers.

Everyone complains about 2 subs been x2. We and the LUSOS clan have 3 subs on x2!!!!! I have posted the image above direct screenshot with all my personal details.

No. Max airplanes are fast to closing to the target and aiming-locking. This is the same for all German carriers, so none of them needs Torpedo Bomber or Sight Stabilization skills, contrary to other carriers (Japanese, American and Soviet) that these 2 skills are mandatory. Also, a trick with Max skip bombers is that if you drop on the 3rd line (the one further), you can boost and turn immediately when the drop happens. That way the airplanes avoid all medium & close range AA and are ready to attack from the same side again. If you get your reaction time to be quick enough, you can do two full attacks and only lose maximum two airplanes from the third squadron. Sometimes I do all full three attacks as it is possible if the third squadron has lost just 1 airplane. For DDs you can nuke them by aiming on the first line (the one nearest). It does still full damage and eats half the HP from most DDs If you don't play German carriers, no need to get a new commander at tier 10 as you will suffer. Pick a commander you have for the other German ships, even Lutjens, and set the skills for the carrier. Since Max counts as Premium/Special ship, the commander doesn't require retraining.

When the airplanes return is not the problem as they will be at safe altitude faster, however it seems this doesn't work and nobody has reported it as bug. I will test it on next PTS.

One of the reasons haven't picked the Hidden Menace is that never used it that why asked. It does state that the airplanes have -50% time to get to safe altitude however doesn't seem so, it this a bug then?

Has anyone tried full stealth build with Audacious? With commander concealment, Concealment system mod 1 and Forced Take off, the carrier has 9.3km and 7.31km from air concealment. That's light cruiser values. (standard values are 14.3km and 11.2km respectively) Effectively can hide the carrier pretty forward instead of trying to find islands or edge of the map having the airplanes crawling another 5-8km which also helps with it's slow airplanes. Also gets 20% engine boost added to the rest of the modules & skills adding to the boost time, -50% ship acceleration and -30% rudder shift time. Effectively can hide it at plain sight like a DD with its back to the enemies and run if needed (max speed 32 knots)

Premium ships : Atago & Tone. Strong guns for HE and AP, 10km torps, heal. (Tone added bonus is the 8.8km concealment). Mainz. If you are not picked by the enemy ships. If you do not get a ship in 165 supercontainers, the 166th supercontainer will give you a ship guaranteed. At least thats what the WG has posted. -

I know the 11.6 changes however haven't found anyone except the guy above, who got a Roma/Kii/Ashitaka post 11.6 to tell us if the newly obtained ships have the standard T8 eco bonuses or special for those 3 ships (the new one with the +45% credits) That is why asked the person directly and didn't drop a general question. -

Tried few battles with the Atlantico and stopped. As much fun as was the carrier brawls over the weekend, that much crap is the battleship brawl. There is no brawl but a campfest. -
Found a bug with the operations. Formed a division with 5 clan members and finished a random operation which we won with all the secondaries (5 stars) but we didn't get the 1000 oil reward. The mission seems unfulfilled because the game still looks for 5 stars but the system this has changed with 11.8.

Haven't played much random today after the 4 naval battles. But took Atago for a spin at the operations and works amazingly well and is fun to play with. On Aegis got "Will to Win", since everyone was dead by the time we liberated the escort ships. Remained alone at the end with the 3 battleships yet still won it doing the secondary tasks. Same applies to the other ops. 300K damage with Atago is becoming norm right now on Hermes, Aegis, Cherry Blossom. -
What is your experience with "Cherry Blossom" and "Hermes" operations? Do you think they are (unfortunately and sadly) too hard for teams of random players?

Hermes and Cherry Blossom are OK if 1-2 ships know what they are doing. The problem is with Newport. The moment you lose the first ship, usually a BB who decided to brawl the 3 cruisers at the first wave, that's it. The team cannot recover and fights for survival during the rest of the operation. Losing more ships cripples completely any chance of winning let alone trying for 1-2 stars. -
Build it as Youshanai said above. However, check the citadel & armour profiles for the T8 carriers. The rocket airplanes are doing citadels farming if you know where to aim them. Some carriers have the citadel under water, aim at bellow the waterline by 1-2 meters. If they have the citadel higher up aim there. You need to get used to the AP rocket airplanes if you are going to continue to T10, and trust me when you get experienced with them, you will be hunting cruisers in random just for the citadel laughs.
