If someone doesn't play with carriers, especially T8-10 ones, cannot have an opinion in that matter. What we read at the previous pages is just posts based on ignorance, like all those who complain about them. That is why I urge everyone who complain about carriers to do 200+ battles with T8-10 non soviet tech tree carriers. Within weeks WG going to buff them, because the carrier metrics will go down the sewers.

That is one of the rigged brawl battles people got banned and had complete reset of their accounts. The vast majority of the airplane kills are fighters which are not relevant to surface ships. On the left we have a Pobeda and 2 Lexington. On the right we have 2 Hornets and seems like an enterprise or chkalov. Each Hornet starts with 40 airplanes, plus 24 patrol fighters from the bombers. IDK if Horner TB had patrol fighters, according to Fitting Tool it doesn't. (thats another 24 airplanes). It will generate roughly 40 airplanes until the 20-minute mark plus 7 * 8 tactical airplane so another 56. Plus, it's defence fighters. So total 20 minutes the Hornet can have maximum 40+40+56, 136 strike airplanes plus fighters. (24-48 without counting own defence fighters). HOWEVER, on that brawl the distances were so close that flight time lasted mere seconds. On a normal random battle from 1 minute to 5 minutes. Depending on distances, airplane speed, circumstances. A Lexington in comparison starts with 40 strike airplanes, generates an absolute MAXIMUM around 45 airplanes in 20 minutes to cover casualties, assuming is has a lot of casualties from the fest second of the battle. Something impossible due to travel times and has to lose 10 airplanes before start generating them due to small max deck size (31). Contrary a Nakhimov, starts with 62 airplanes and after the first 17 casualties it will generate an absolute maximum, 20 airplanes during whole full 20 mins battle. So the "unlimited" airplanes are a maximum of 82, usually much less due to travel time, when the casualties start racking up etc.

So, the carriers cannot generate airplanes (which rate is 1 airplane per 50+ seconds for the majority of them not "endless") but the rest can generate out of thin air an unlimited number of torpedoes and AA & artillery shells with no consequences of their actions and bad aiming decisions? Sorry how is this balanced then? All ships should carry finite amount of artillery and AA shells then. FYI, HMS Fiji was lost because it was ordered to operate with just 30% of AA shells capacity, which spent them in its first hour of engagement at the Battle of Crete, having Me-109s destroying it at the end.

You don't play with carriers and you have no CLUE.

Considering you have only 10 battles with carriers (1 kosmo, 2 Langley, 3 Weser and 4 Furious) and 8 with RTS Langley seems you have no idea how carriers are been played and the amount of skill and situational awareness required to win the battles at T8+. Skill which you completely remove by your 3rd point "3. Attacks are carried like the ones of dutch cruisers, but bigger AOE area and higher the damage." making the carriers dumb to play and no fun at all. On PTS have played with Gouden Leeuw extensively. Because I play with carriers have applied the same skills on its "dumb" airplanes causing devastating effects. While you want them to be heavily overpowered on top "2. Double or triple the amount of their DPS." While asking to "5. Remove AA completely, it doesn't work." when the ships you play mostly, they have (relative speaking) no AA to begin with, like Mushahi, Akatsuki, Benson that is why you feel AA doesn't work. It does work. Pick strong AA ships like Halland, Puerto Rico, Salem, Des Moines, Mecklenburg, Smolensk, Austin, and all those having access to DAAF and if you use AA focus/alert and DAAF you can take down whole squadron from the supercarriers before they even realised it, scaring them leaving you alone for the rest of the game. Even more humble ships like Yoshino, Azuma, Hindenburg, Agir by just getting the AA skill on the captain making them formidable against the above average T10 carrier players. Otherwise stick with the pack. On your last point "8. Attacks have cooldowns, just like any other ship. Can't just spam them like a minotaur, the way it is currently." it does clearly show your lack of knowledge how carriers work and operate. If we use cooldowns, like the supercarriers and Hornet tactical squadrons have, with all the additional buffs to damage & play, with the huge nerf to AA will mean carriers will be EXTREMELY overpowered. You have to understand no carrier spams airplanes. There are carriers that take 1 minute to recover a single airplane per type, with limited starting decks. If they lose 3 airplanes on the last attack, it will take them 5 minutes to get those airplanes back in position to do damage. Because you forget there is a 1-2 minute flight time per attack squadron. And might be longer until you do a strike, because your team asks for support to provide AA, or spot. Which time you do no damage at all. Carriers are fine as they are now. Nakhimov needs bit of a very light nerf.

After getting PR tonight and played the first 9 battles with her, understanding perfectly your post. The ship is weird, yet unique and a class of its own, but at the same time feels very comfortable to play. She can kite but not as good as a Yoshino or an Azuma, she can brawl but not as good as the Stalingrad, she can shoot over islands like Salem, Des Moines, Worcester but doesn't have the ROF to do it properly.

After plagued by losses yesterday and this morning, finished the missions for the Puerto Rico just before 22:00 tonight. Since then, got 9 straight wins with it, I call it a great achievement and still getting used to it. Even got a Kraken in one of them. Truly I impressive and very comfortable ship to play. -
RTX 4090 - Anybody playing the game with it ?

I have a 5700XT and works perfectly fine at 4K. You do not need a 4090 to play WOWS at 4K. -
I found the following bug. If I open this news item in game, Malta in the Armory | World of Warships and click any of the Purchase buttons, the Armoury screen opens however there is no exist. There isn't any back button nor ESC gets us out of the screen. Only way to get back to port is close the game with ALT+F4 (since ESC doesn't work).

The AP carpet bombers are interesting as they are unique to Malta. It might do some citadel farming against cruisers. Met couple of them today, but their owners didn't reply to my questions how the carrier feels.

Thank you. Click the Sub purchase deal. (first image) Then click Back without buying the deal.(second image) Then it gets you to the following screen. However, as you see there is no Back button, and if you press ESC does nothing. Have to ALT+F4 the client. I have replicate it several times. If I navigate to those pages from the Armory there is no issue. Only from the News item. -

Anyone picking USN cruisers currently, is just for collecting them or wanting to play 10 bad battles for the one that all islands will be in the correct place and height to shoot over them. Japanese kiting HE spammers like Yoshino/Azuma or Germans cruisers like Hindenburg/Agir/Siegfried, are far superior ships against the likes of Patrie somehow. Even Petropavlovsk has issues.

Yeah. Takes 2 minute to get to the enemy and the squadron was taken down by the Smalland and the Stalingrad on the second cap allowing only 1 rocket to hit. Yet is my fault! Begone troll.

Here is a "typical" battle with Audacious in 3 first minutes. The battle was done after my previous post. As you see by the time the 2nd squadron is up, 3 are dead including 2 destroyers and only managed to hit the Smalland who took down almost 5 airplanes after the 6 airplanes were battered by the cruisers. (had drop 3 airplanes). As you see takes 1 minute just to spot the 3 near the cap. 2 minutes to get to the second cap. This is what is happening ONLY with the Audacious matchmaking. No other carrier. FYI the battle ended as 13:50 (6:10 into the battle). We had lost and I was the last ship left.

Nothing is wrong to know how the enemies are deployed than flying blind all the battle. After all trying to charge the first enemy you see and is a 3 cruiser cluster makes no sense. You will lose all the planes doing 0 dmg. Also takes 1.5 minutes to scan the first cap and more towards the second on most maps. Only few maps are small enough to be done within 2 minutes. The problem is this specific ship having somehow really bad teams in random. Why don't I complain about ranked for example? Or all the other carriers I'm playing?

Why every time taking the Atrocious for a spin, 1/3 of the team just suicides before I even finish the first patrol to spot the enemy deployment in the first 3 minutes? Twice tonight this happened in consecutive battles. With no other carrier have such issue pitting me with players who just throw the game away.

IJN nothing? Thats the nation with everything been pretty good. Shokaku, one of the best carriers (Sekiryu coming soon, a Shokaku on steroids), best torp destroyers in game (Akatsuki/Kagero/Yugumo/Shimakaze/Yamagiri), some of the best team carrying gunships (Akatsuki, Kitakaze, Harugumo), the most versatile cruisers in game and surprisingly accurate long-range, with scary guns, battleships from Kongo (T5) all way to Satsuma (T11). Only the Amagi at T8 is a mid range heavy battlecruiser and a damn good at it. Idk maybe is me that I am the odd one liking all the IJN ships including most of their premiums. (Harekaze, Atago, Azuma, etc).

As twice went to 195K & 198K damage mission and failed, decided to take Pommern for multiple battles yesterday to get the 43mil block damage. In the 8 battles all of them were against T11s. Is this bad? YES. However, I do not complain, most of the superships players are just pretty bad focusing on a T9 battleship which can take 3mil potential damage and still survive, while the rest of their team gets slaughtered. Only one supership I will get, the Sekiryu, because I love Japanese ships in general, regardless of if it will be bad or not. Saw it's tactical airplanes on a battle, and they were beautiful both the Yokosuka R2Y2 (TB) and Kyushu J7W Shinden (rockets)

Richthofen bombs are reliable on cruisers if hit from the highest point. And only need 1 to do 15-20K damage citadel on a cruiser. I use them all the time if ran out of rockets against cruisers.

Thanks. Never used HM because there are so many skills there that there aren't enough points but just had a thought about the "Atrocious". What you described was one of my first observations when cancelled the airplanes to get the next squadron up. Except for the German carriers, which apparently rarely losing airplane on return phase (maybe due to their speed? ), all the rest using boost + turn to get away from the flak range before click F to return them and pick next squadron. It has helped a lot to preserve airplanes from needless casualties. Btw added the Force Take Off module and the carrier improved on those 2 battles used it. (Ranked), that 20% extra boost time helps a lot to avoid a lot of AA damage.
