    Karma mechanic

After reading the 0.5.2 bulletins, this one caught my attention: "Karma And Friendly Torpedoes To reduce toxicity and to encourage healthy cooperation among players, we’ve introduced in-game karma, which is displayed in the player profile. A player’s karma is the difference between compliments and complaints received during battles. We will monitor your feedback on this option and perhaps find an additional application for it in the future. We do have plans to introduce automatically granted in-game rewards as well as enhanced opportunities for complaints or compliments to players with a high karma level. As for damage accidentally caused to allies, our data shows that, as expected, the most common reason for this problem is torpedo misuse. In Update 0.5.2, in addition to other measures, we’ve decided to decrease the damage caused by allied torpedoes by 50%." There are teamkillers out there. In some cases, they are ruining the game experience for some players. I once played a mobile game called "vainglory". You had three karma levels: bad, good and great. Bad would decrease your gain of experience by 5%. Good would have no effect on your experience game, no effect on anything. Great would increase your gain of experience by 25%. Your karma level was based on your win/lose ratio (which made it slightly competitive), aswell as that you played through the entire game without abandoning, because that would ruin the experience for other players. Here is where my idea comes in. I don't want this karma mechanic to be competitive when it comes to world of warships. But if you made it so that at the end of month or week, players with great karma would be awarded with some flags or credits. Players with good karma would be rewarded as well, but slightly less "valuable" rewards than players with great karma. Players with bad karma however, would not receive anything at all. Your karma could be affected by whether you play through the entire game without abandoning or not, as well as team damage. I believe that if you motivate players by rewarding them for playing out through the entire battle (or to their ship is destroyed), as well as not inflicting any damage to their teammates, it would have a positive effect on the gameplay. Players in general would probably enjoy having a "you did well" reward at the end of every month or week. Let me know what you guys think, can you imagine this being favorable for world of warships?
  2. Timezone: GMT Battles fought: 1,100 56% victories 43.000 avg damage (my average played tier is 5.5, therefor the low avg damage) Lukitb ingame obviously, hit me up
  3. 1st entry: 2448 exp. Lots of "defended base medals". Tier 5 Gnevny U.S.S.R class destroyer 2nd entry: 2772 exp. 3x "Capture base medals", and even more "defended base medals". Tier 5 Gnevny U.S.S.R class destroyer

    Karma mechanic

I did not think of that one. Maybe you could be matched up with the people of your own karma level. People with great karma could only other players of the "great karma level"? That would at least prevent the players with great karma (the players not dealing team damage or abandoning unfinished matches) from playing players of the bad karma level (the ones that are dealing team damage and abandoning unfinished matches)

    Karma mechanic

WG would have to be more creative than creating it based on player reports for this to work, obviously. It would sure be a waste of time making this reality. That being said, I still believe that you need to motivate players to avoid dealing friendly damage, I don't think that a purple name is enough motivation in itself.
