I really hoped to have the De Grasse as it actually was build with it's 8x2 127mm guns. I hope that maybe it will be a different hull that you can choose to give her her actual historic loadout with which she was in service. As it stands it is a real let down that we will never see one of the most unique historic ships for the French and instead now just get a clone of the tech tree one. They could have named it Chateaurenault or something and at least leave the possibility for the actual De Grasse. It is really dissapointing for naval and MN enthousiasts. It would basically be like introducing Akagi as a premium Amagi BB.

If the Polish can get a ship as an independant nation in WoWs than the Dutch with their long naval history and significance should as well.

Berserk. Preferrably the manga but the old 1997 show or the movies (though their CG is kind of bad, especially in the first one) are allright as well. Just as long as they stay away from the 2016 tv adaptation as it is just unbearably badly directed and the CG is appaling. Yes but that is already the case. The only buff we are given is a minor tweak to turret traverse that makes it go from terrible to just bad. IJN DDs (aside from Shiratsuyu) really need a buff to be more competitive, preferably to their torps so they retain their unique flavour.

Did WG confirm whether or not you can train other IJN captains on it? Because that is probably going to be a dealbreaker for a lot of people if you can't. Especially considering it'll probably come with a T8 pricetag.

I suppose it would be quite nice as you can put a captain from any IJN in it. Akizuki captains generally have a different build from Yuugumo captain but both could work with this ship. This could be one of the best captain trainers in the game because of the variety of builds. I just hope they don't restrict captains to anime only and the background flag in screenshots makes me worried. Is it confirmed if we can use any IJN captain on it?

Harekaze suddenly sounds way more interesting if we can equip the 10cm Akizuki turrets (only 3 instead of 4 but still) on a destroyer that is a bit more mobile and has decent stealth.

TL;DR According to Notser Russian DDs are better at basically everything: speed, tanking, objective play, damage. French add no utility to balance this out and there is no real reason to ever pick a French cruiser over an equal tier Russian DD.
