Das hat bei WoWp schon nicht geklappt. Und wo liegt der Reiz an einem Spiel, dass sich dann nur im Aussehen von einem anderen unterscheidet ?

If you use your DD as a AA plattform, then don't expect Cleveland-equese AA power. You job is to deter enemy bombers from getting a target lock on your capital ships, and most CV drivers will usually try to get out of range in order to preserve their fighting strength. Not to mention to spot the enemy planes so that your team can prepare for an air attack.

If your turret gets overpenetrated by an enemy AP shell (an info message will pop up above your HUD turret markers) it will normally detonate the ammo dump beneath it, resulting in a nice internal explosion, which wrecks the turret for the reminder of the game. Same with torp launchers.

Well, for a DD its A power is pretty good. The problem with AA guns on a DD is their range (~2.8km), and you reveal yorself to the enemy, so I would advise to use them only if you don't expect enemy fire. Due to your DDs speed you can get ahead of your CCs/BBs and try to interupt the approch of Torp/Bomb planes

My suggestions for WG in dealing with toxic players

Sounds good on paper, but ingame reports can (and probably will) be abused aswell, if ppl assume they can get some advantage for it. Would also create nightmares for WG Support. The thing is that all those shortcomings that WG did not adress in the past are now coming back to haunt them here. -
Might have something to do with their drop pattern, bombs just get 'sprayed' around the intended target

WG's problem is that they are victim of their own (=WoTs) success. Not to mention that they advertised WoWs by comparing it to WoT, which has led to expectations that could not be fulfilled (Arty=CV anyone?). -

Well, while we're on it, the accuracy of Dive Bombers is also pretty bad. They will miss if you make a hard turn to left or port right when they dive down to unload their bombs. Perhaps they should be more suited to take out modules/turrets/rudders with their pin-point attacks to cripple an enemy before the torp attack.

Mit oder ohne Cap, wenn nicht ein Mindestmaß an Kooperation zwischen den Mitspielern besteht, geht jedes Spiel mies aus. Für den Anfang würde es eventuell schon reichen, entweder den Cap-Radius zu verkleinern, oder die Cap-zeit zu erhöhen. Allerdings würde des erhöhten Cap-Zeit dann wohl wieder die Match-Zeit im Weg stehen

And I doubt that posting names on the forums will have actual consequences for the players in question. Better write a short report, note the time&date, and provide some screens and send them to support. Because they can check their game logs to see what happened and enact the appropriate measures. Yep, just imagine killing someone which totally pissed him off, so he vents his anger in the forums in order to get some kind of 'revenge' by calling you a cheater/teamkiller etc. . Childish ? Hell yeah, but it has happened before, therefore we have to abide to the naming&shaming rule. /edit : damn typos.

Benutze die Geschütze erst gar nicht, höchstens für Gnadenschüsse, oder wenn du kein Gegenfeuer fürchten musst, z.B. wenn BBs aufeinander feuern, und du im toten Winkel der gegnerischen Geschütze bist. Ich selber nehme die Kanonen(-ansicht) nur, um mir einen besseren Überblick zu verschaffen, weil man im Torpedomodus nicht soweit rauszoomen kann. Zur Zeit sind IJN DDs wirklich nur reine Torpedoplattformen. Stimmt schon, allerdings musst du mit deinem Jap-DD nicht unter deine Spottingrange an den Gegner ran, um deine Torpedos abzufeuern. Man könnte ja auch deren Torpedo-Schaden nerfen (ich schreib hier absichtlich 'könnte', bevor wieder einige nen Hals bekommen, weil sie was von Nerfs lesen), wenn die Nachladezeiten so weiter bestehen sollen. Das Problem auf T6 ist, das die Torpedos auf einmal ellelnag zum Nachladen brauchen. Wenn du 1:30mins warten musst, damit du wieder feuern kannst (da die Geschütze ja unbrauchbar sind), dann siehst du gegen T4/5 DD zur Zeit echt alt aus, weil sie schlichtweg mehr DPM austeilen können. Scheint aber z.Z. ein allgemeines WoWs-Problem zu sein, da die Tech-Trees noch sehr unbalanciert sind. Nicht jedes neue Schiff stellt eine Verbesserung zum Vorgänger dar. -

Atm I usually only do my daily double on my T6 IJN DD, as they have become quite useless when lower tier DDs are the game, as they can simply outperform me damage wise due to the shorter reload, and turrets are useless due to their rotation speed (on par with BBs).- 59 replies

Well, ppl have said the same about WoWp back in the day, and this game did not even had a PvE mode until a couple of patches ago. There is enough content on the forums & youtube now for players who can spent 5 minutes of their time to look it up. And I really don't like the direction the game is taking now with the new CV restrictions for divisions, not to mention that influence 'WoT'-style gameplay already has on the game and its devs. Instead of introducing a general class cap per game they telling ppl what ships to pick when playing with friends. WG should really think about how they advertise this game, those WoT comparisons (Arty=CV...) not only create false player expectations, they load up discussions about CVs with all the hate arty threads tend to bring with them. Not to mention the language. Right now this game has a real tendency to turn into World of Battleships.

Well, that's one aspect, probably due to the 'NO CAP KILL ALL' crap coming over from some other game. T5/6 battles are usualy not over that quickly, as ppl don't throw themselfs into enemy fire (at least not that much).

Btw, anyone had a Domination match since the last patch ? Only had standard cap battles, and MM seems to match +3 now. -
Well, if you can lay mines, than you also need the means to remove/destroy them. if you can shoot them out of the water than they would not makr sense in the first place. And ppl are already crying about torps, this has the potential for 1000x the butthurt.
