It bleeds speed like mad when turning, which is something that can be used to its advantage. Most low-tier carrier players till use autodrop, and by turning into the torpedo's by giving hard rudder, you basically slam the brakes, lose 60% of the forward momentum and make all or all but one torpedo overshoot you.

On a sidenote, the Gremyashi will suffer the same fate as the Imperator Nikolai I... It's so OP it won't be sold again, even after the "1 year CBT exclusivity embargo"... It will probably become the PzIIJ from WoWS though.

I may have been a bit too harsh indeed, because the scale is not comparable between the NA and EU, but in the EU event, there is not much for the casual or low-tier player to fulfill all the requirements. Hey, I will give it a try, and I applaud the introduction of a new event (or events in general) on the EU wholeheartedly. It just seemed a bit... TOO much. Weeks of nothing, and then a huge thing, and then weeks of nothing again (probably), I'd rather see it a bit more spread out, to cater all the people, not just those who can play in these weeks.

These are some pretty grindy hardcore missions, nothing really interesting for the more casual player, or the player with not too much time. I've subscribed, but I'd rather have the NA-event.

So the Texas has as drawbacks a 0.5kt slower speed, and a slightly worse rudder shift time (14<->12)... It makes up for that with godly AA for its tier, and a ... Yup, working as intended!

I think/am afraid that a big part of the "momentum" for the Campbeltown has passed now, with it now being almost a month delayed. It would totally have been fitting with the Chariot-anniversary, but now... it's "just" a low tier Premium without the mystique around it, the hype got stretched way beyond what is reasonable. I totally wanted it to buy a month ago, but now, I'm a bit like "meh... it's not going to be worth it"

Will there be "something German" as well for Jutland? It's a bit silly now with a huge anniversary of one of the major naval battles in history, with just one ship from one side (yeah, the Karlsruhe is also there, but... it doesn't have the allure of the Warspite)

I got reassured that they would, and I have to say, WG-EU is (finally?) moving on the right track. Ships are becoming available in an unbundled version, but contests are... gone. I noticed that last week. The last true WG-EU (forum) contest dates back from January 20th, with one cancelled competition in February. After that, nothing came from WG-EU. The sole other competitions were organised by forumites (writing guides, making pictures,...). On October 1st 2015, AlsoRobots posted that there would be finally a "semi-uniformity" when it comes to contests for the EU & NA server. Are these your good intentions you vowed back in 2015? Sure, the opening up of the Premium Shop is a good thing, and applauded by many. But it does not stop there.

And nothing. The Weekend Special got announced with a: "here we go again, an 2XP first win", but that's it.

It's not the first time that happened. Mikasa was also given away on RU, NA & SEA servers in events, and as "icing on the cake" in a bundle. Tachibana as well.

Maybe someone of the WG-staff needs to open an "suggestions-topic" in the Contests-subforum? Otherwise the suggestions posted here & there and everywhere on the forums are bound to be lost and pushed away by other posts.
