Premium currency should be linked, and it was said for long that it for sure would be linked (as early as "release", which is a year ago), even with semi-official promises by staff. But they won't, because of reasons greed (they unified WoT & WoWP, because WoWP was on the verge of collapsing, and by doing so they tried to lure players from WoT to WoWP, especially because there were dirteasy missions in WoWp that gave gold, which could be used in WoT). However, for WoWS, that means they lied to the playerbase for more than a year, and it's understandable a considerable part of that is not happy with that.

I don't like what I can read Maybe it will work out after all, but it's not looking good (IMHO). If the T5 (Emerald) gets HE... does that imply that it is a totally underwhelming and underperforming ship?

It was available in June for the Midway anniversary, and ASIA has one sale at this very moment. The regular Kamikaze, not the R variant, which is peculiar, since the regular Kamikaze was called an exclusive ship for the RU-server (something to do with a special package deal).

Just sailed her around with my dedicated sealclubbin' captain (a 10 point Umikaze captain) in a Tier VII match. Came top of the team with 1980 base XP, and two Scharnhorsts derped in the face from 75% health. It's a fun ship, but once you're spotted, you're dead (unless you can surprise your enemy with erratic movements).

Downside: it will take 40 minutes to get allotted into a match when playing a BB.

She's fine at Tier VI, but she's not competitive in Tier VIII, which she sees too often since the matchmaker rework. Also she's clearly outmatched by the Bayern.

Kamikaze R was sold just after Project-R ended (for those who did not earn enough doubloons), and at the beginning of June, with the battle of Midway-anniversary (Kamikaze participated in that battle (read: she was in that fleet somewhere)). As for stats... it's a Minekaze, that's a hair slower. So a very decent ship, but nothing god-like.

They are, but we're on the EU, chances that devs see this are null. They only gauge the RU and to a lesser degree the NA-forums (that's also the forums where dev's are actually posting and answering questions/suggestions). On the EU even the CM's don't respond.

There should be an upgrade called "Bletchely Park / Station X", which gives you the exact positions of all enemy ships on the minimap (and especially the German ones).

Don't forget that all the BB's in-game in those tiers are from the 1910's (either by build or design), Give it some fictious upgrades like the German BB's, and it should work.

It was given away on at least 2 occasions though on the NA. One absolutely free, and the other one for the price of a stamp. Chances are virtually zero that it would come to the EU in a timely fashion in that shape or form. First because it's the EU, and secondly, we've already got the Campbeltown this month.

Might very well be that it won't ever come to the EU.

Wow, stingy much? Maybe you should read the poll first before making assumtions. This has nothing to do with the game, but with a real ship. A relic from WW1 (there are three left from the Royal Navy. A light Cruiser (HMS Caroline), a Monitor (M33) and this one.), and worthy of every effort of preservation. Oh, and you can't sign by default: only British citizens can sign the petition. On a sidenote: the Belgian "Marine Component" did not mean the slightest thing during WW2. Some armed trawlers and coastal artillery were all it had, and the few Belgian sailors (which was still a fairly large relative percentage of the manpower) that managed to reach the UK were just enough to man 2 MMS-class minesweepers and three small patrol-ships. That's it. That means: no cruisers, no destroyers, no frigates, no sloops, no corvettes,... small minesweepers. The Dutch were substantially bigger, but still no match for what the Axis powers threw at them.

I feel the same, although it hurts some type of ships more than others. I do reasonably well in my T5 Kamikaze in T7 matches. T6 Warspite in a T8 is a whole different matter. Talking about that. I bought that ship with the knowledge I would see T4 to T8 ships... That got readjusted. Shouldn't I get reimbursed for that, since the Warspite gets bottom-tier matchmaking way more since 0.5.11. That's not what I bought.

Encountered the same thing in my Arkansas Beta last week, only did I have the right spot (where that BB now is). I solo'ed towards C (the entire team went A, with DD's covering B), and when I reached grid D8, I started turning away towards B. This allowed me to fire all my 6 guns over my right shoulder to the cruisers and BB's that broke the corner and pushed through (and were showing perfect broadsides). Ended the match with 4 kills and 120k damage, and still had 30% of my health left (the enemy started shelling me with HE from pure misery, since AP just bounced off my stern).

I read about it a while back... that's downright disgusting. Britain did the right thing with HMS Caroline in Belfast. They should do the right thing for HMS President as well. It's always best to prevent a scenario like the Peppercorn A1 Toronado (in which the Brits of yesterday scrapped all the machines, and decades later it was decided to build a new one from the original plans). On a side note: has there been any news regarding the WW2 sloop and destroyer that are rotting away in Egypt? Those are also unique ships worthy of restoration and preservation.

It's rumoured (and "confirmed" by Hanszeehock) it will be the German DD's. Big gunboats. Germany had plenty of ships available. The smaller Torpedoboote, and the larger Zerstörers. The latter being comparable to a (very) light cruiser. Like the Soviet DD-designs. You can be fairly sure the HMS Royal Sovereign will be a Premium Russian BB, in the shape of Arkanghelsk. Whether WG will give it the historical accurate sorry state of disrepair and the jammed turrets is still open for debate. Chances are they will downtier it, and give it the Murmansk treatment (a carbon copy of the Omaha that for some miraculous reason outperforms it)

As I already posted in another topic: The more I begin to suspect that WG-NA had it available too soon and/or that the price of 2200D was an error (on the wiki, the price has been changed from "2200D" to "Promo"), and it should have been way more expensive, as it's a very solid Tier III ship 2200D is the price for the Mikasa, the Tier II Japanese joke. On the NA, the premium shop price is 10.75€, which puts it at a guestimated value of 2750D (2450 for the ship, 300 for the slot).
