Since the horn is very likely here to stay (without the ho-ho-ho), would it be possible to have the puffs of steam emitting from the location where the horn is located? A puff of white "smoke".

You know you can do the unlock-task in co-op, right? It features mirrored matchmaking, so bring your fletcher, and harvest the opposing DD.

I want the Scharnhorst-camo, and ALL of the T6 ships (QE for the credits though, am already on Monarch)... But I can't bring myself to play anymore. Burned out by the poor teams and the atrocious Stage 5. Luckily some stages can be done in CoOp, but still.

You can safely ignore him. He's nagging because he doesn't get the 10x Type 59 camo's where on the other servers people do get them... But EU wasn't affected by the bug, since the issue was solved before the mission went live on EU. Even those 2 extra days are, if you're really strict about it, not "deserved" on the EU, because we didn't lose out on progress.

You can repeat already completed tasks for the stars.

Saturday morning (20th)

I've obliterated multiple Shchors/Omaha/Emeralds with HE-citadels. It's glorious! And with Expert Loader, you can get the reload to AP to around 12/15 seconds, so when you spot that oblivious cruiser, you can send 10 piercing packages its way.

Got the DOY earlier this afternoon, after grinding out the remaining 32k XP. I like the ship, it's a decent T7 battlewagon. It pales in comparison with the KGV, but the KGV is a bit too good (would I dare to say overpowered), so I can understand WG's approach to it, to prevent it becoming a Minekaze/Kamikaze situation. It wouldn't surprise me at all the RoF of the KGV will be reduced to 30. New Year Raid seems like an absolute breeze compared to the North Cape missions, or any old EU-style mission, so I'll very likely reach the Snowy Scharnhorst camo. Would look nice on the ship on Tears of the Desert.

3 T8's (BB's & CV) and a T6 (DD)

33 Gallant torps, a missed 90k torpedo damage (did the damage, didn't have the mission active), 75k XP and 10BB kills (of which a few were "secured"), and Fingers is free. Will grind the remaining XP (30-something K) tomorrow, after which I'll surf through the NYR.

Needed 2 torphits in the Gallant, to complete the "11 hits"-challenge... And then this happened... Great, the 90k wasn't activated! I am fuming of joy!

Had the pleasure to have @Defcon13 on my team. He in his Z23, me in my last match with the KGV. We won, I came first, he came second (but he deserved that first place more than I, he made short work of the enemy DD's, I "entertained" some BB's with fiery delight).

You can't buy any North-Cape containers. You can get the additional required containers by doing the DOY-dedicated tasks of Stage 1-5 once you've completed Stage 5 and have earned the DOY. Those stages give an additional container, thus allowing you to complete the collection. Luckily, those requirements for the DOY are fairly easy.

I've been here in the game since CBT... I have to say that this "Stage 5" has to be the worst designed contraption (I don't wish to call it stage, or mission, or...) in the entire history of WoWS... I thought the ARP "kill 20 russians" Nachi was bad in terms of design and effect on the gameplay, but this one now has taken that dubious spot of "honour". After the North Cape + New Year Raid, I'm going to take a loooooooooooooooooong break!

Good luck with that, every BB runs the spotting plane module, and every game now has at least a single carrier in it. It's not fun playing the game in this current state, with these missions. Not even the term "chore" covers it.

According to Asian players, the stage (75k XP with modifiers) is set to “to be completed in a single battle”, instead of over any number of battles. Not sure if they’ll fix it in time before it hits the EU server tomorrow. So beware if you’re planning on dumping some premium camo’s and flags on it, it may all be in vain initially.

First and foremost: it requires luck, and RNG being on your side. It's not because you aim for the turrets, that they will be hit, let alone be incapacitated... But you can help it. Any "high" RoF BB does the trick. I completed that challenge 5 times now by using the KGV, firing HE at light cruisers (because the HE blast can cripple the semi-open turrets even without directly hitting them). Also had it happen in the Scharnhorst on a Budyonny with AP. @T0byJug nope, Hood gets regular heal.

Yeah, the 75k in a single match is... not humanly possible. 75k, with all modifiers and the stars aligned: Type59 camo (+200%), Red Dragon (+100%), Hydra (+50%), ESCL (+50%), Weekend First Win (+100%), Premium Time (+50% on BXP from which everything is calculated) would mean getting 8333.33 BXP. That's why I asked. Even 75k XP over any number of matches is a HUGE number for 2 stars, especially since the final task is just 45k XP. There is a mission in the (easier) New Year Raid campaign that is 7500 XP (after modifiers) over any number of battles.

What will it become? 75k XP over any number of battles, or 7500 XP in a single battle?

I had 2 during the 24hrs of premium I received for reaching rank... 16 100x SM flags (speed) 50x Lá Fhéile Pádraig (decent XP/commander XP camo's)

Did it in the KGV, as a "sidemission" while grinding the 40k XP (casually grinding). Tried to farm BB's with the Gallant, but can't get that ship to work (yet). Those 11 hits will take time!
