And then you have to be in the game for 7 days (out of 28) to get your money's worth out of it, and 14 days (out of 28) to fully benefit from the "free" doubloons you get on top of it. Is WG getting this desperate to pump up (dwindling?) retention rates? WG: just give us back the full monthly digest like earlier this year, so we can plan ahead and schedule stuff (like when to stack bonus-flags for instance, or when to buy ships because discount). And find a new task for Alena Ermolaeva, since her video's don't offer anything new/useful (apart from the giveaway), and are rather cringy to watch at times.

The free stuff: nice. And not hidden behind some ridiculous mission chain (we've seen different) The premium stuff: Yeah, no. Not going to happen. The droprates of the RN containers for the real interesting stuff have learned me quite thoroughly (and swiftly) not to spend a dime anymore on your RNG crates.

The last interesting (standard) containers there were were the ones that gave 400? coal from the American Cruiser arc. Apart from that, I start to see them as "ah, 10 oil for the clanbase", which is not the aim I think. The Premium containers... where do I start overpriced non-interesting and strange quantities of the guaranteed content. too low of a droprate for the bonus missions (if applicable), especially the RN containers. Containers for me were hardly ever worth the money, notable exception being the New Year containers. So I don't buy them, since I want to get some actual worth for my buck. A premium ship comes close to that, but some flags, some camo's or a chance on a thing is nowhere near to that.

Acasta, Jervis, Icarus (stage 1, 2 & 4). No containers bought because fork that loot crate principle. Also not worth the price asked for.

The biggest "devaluing" is the removal of stuff you can buy with doubloons (mainly premium ships in the techtree in 0.7.1).

Just encountered @Blixies on my team in a random battle. He in his Richelieu, me in the Musashi. Rough & Tough battle.

For the simple and obvious two fold reason: it permitted better visibility for the commanding officer + "it was always done like that, if it worked yesterday, it will work today". It was a doctrine of the Royal Navy: when they received the obsolete "flush deckers" from the US Navy (Wickes & Clemson class), they cut open the enclosed bridges

Indeed. Paired with a ship that's not really performing as strong as its equal tiered members. That's more in response to the cruisers (or "cruisers" from the Russians) that have comparable guns that seem to be unaffected by this. A bit skewed. Don't get me wrong, BB AP on DD's is a grave problem, but there should be other solutions to this problem than this artificial "trick".

Good question, to which I have no suitable answer. I think it boils down to a combination of "too much hassle to pick flags depending on the goal I'm trying to achieve" and "I do alright enough with plain ships". WG when can we finally get customisable "flag-presets"?

1203. I don't run flags during Random Battles. Only economic flags when I have a campaign/mission going on and premium time running (from rewards). So flags keep piling and piling. I have hundreds of each of the regular flags.

Containers opened: Stage 1: 12 regular ones. Got the Acasta in the 3rd regular container. Reinvested those sovereigns in 7 more containers. Stage 2: 14 regular ones + 1 premium. Got the Jervis in the 5th regular container, thus managed to get the T7-8 British DD missions done. Also included 1 extra container from the reddit milestone. Stage 3: 14 regular ones. Nothing (this stage gave 2 normal containers instead of 1 premium) Stage 4: 13 regular ones + 1 premium. Got the Icarus in the premium one. Then I reinvested the surplus sovereigns (36) in 5 more containers: zero result from those. So 3 ships, but no Lightning. I didn't buy any container from the premium shop, because Fork WG for trying to monetize the game with lootboxes. Luckily my government will soon make it so that I can't be tempted anyway. Just had a battle with @Spellfire40. He in his Lightning, me in the Musashi. Sadly a defeat because of poor team play/lemmings that refuse to cap/defend. We held the 2 top spots of BXP earned.

For some I went to co-op (since I’m not the best gunboat DD player).

As per the French BB's, I'm curious who gets what in terms of drops from the containers.
