How is your Crown & Florin collecting (for the 3x RN CVs) going on?
MrFingers replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
A decrease in content-quality is indeed noticable. The quantity on the other hand is overwhelming. Wish there was more balance in that. -

@MrConway Pity one has to have a multiple of "5" to convert... Will there be an option to convert 1-to-8, next to the 5-to-40? -

990 Florins and 104 Crown... No Furious for me then. And no ship-missions either. -
It should have been a T6 with the historical reload and the smoke. Period. That would also correspond with the effort one has to put in to grind the ship, as it is a tad ridiculous for a T5 with the timegating, sometimes ridiculous requirements and nation-specific stages. my

Giulio Cesare stays as it is + balance of other premiums
MrFingers replied to anonym_cwVecOS6ecVy's topic in General Discussion
It could have worked (perfectly?) if there was a proper monetary compensation (complete cashback) for the affected ships, which would have been entirely possible (if one could set away "pride" for a second) if those "problematic ships" weren't used as a carrot in order to get people to buy X-mas crates (because how are you going to compensate RNG-rolls?). And cooperate greed is to blame for that, with the preference of getting a quick buck via a deplorable and exploitative method (because that's what paid lootcrates are, nothing more and nothing less), even if that meant that actions needed in the future for the health of the game would be impossible without huge backlash and legal ramifications. -

"Sub Octavian" regarding possible changes to "Premium" ships that are considered "OP"
MrFingers replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
https://www.businesscompanion.info/en/quick-guides/digital/digital-content#Asdescribed "Certain digital products are upgraded over time. The digital content must continue to match the description but it can contain additional or enhanced features that are not part of that description." In case of changing of ships: for example the uptiering of Cesare: it was described as a T5 battleship (and thus faces a T5 environment), changing it to a T6 (and thus facing a T6 environment) voids the matching of the description, and is thus breaking the law. Enhancing/buffing a thing is legally possible. Nerfing it, without compensation isn't. No matter what the EULA says. If an article in the EULA is in conflict with an actual law, that article becomes void. -
Connection is indeed spotty the last days, had a few disconnects as well, luckily not during battle (I don't play back-to-back, always return to port).

Poll: How should WG handle overperforming premium ships?
MrFingers replied to ColonelPete's topic in General Discussion
depends on the compensation... monetary (a real cashback): they can do whatever they want anything else: leave them as they are AND completly remove them from any sale (including crates), but introduce sister ships which can be changed accordingly for better balance and sold in the future. -
"Sub Octavian" regarding possible changes to "Premium" ships that are considered "OP"
MrFingers replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
They didn't nerf the ship. They adjusted the environment (smoke-firing mechanics, stealth-fire mechanics), which happened to be a nerf for some of the premium ships (Belfast, Kutuzov, Gremy, but also Blyska), but the raw stats of the ships remained unchanged. -

You're correct with that one... But then the Belfast would become available again, and those who wish to have Belfast (because it's Belfast) can opt-in for an exchange-program where they'd swap in their old Belfast/new Sheffield for the new Belfast. Or given a substantial discount on the new Belfast if they wish to retain Sheffield. -

It's very simple in my book: if they tamper with purchased licenses for said ships and do not offer a proper monetary reimbursement (doubloons do not count), a dangerous precedent will have been created, and I can hear the sound of thousands of wallets slamming shut for eternity. Not to mention the legal hassle WG will get into. Still: can be fixed. If they want to sell the Belfast in the future: sell the rebalanced Belfast, and remake the current unbalanced Belfast into another ship of the Town-Class, for example HMS Sheffield (C24), which also underwent a refit in the 1950's. That way the people who bought their ship/crates/... still get to preserve a ship as they know it and bought it, should they so desire. Same for Nikolai, Cesare,...- 234 replies

@Fat_Maniac: fresh meat for the grinder!

As a token of appreciation for sticking with the game and slugging through an unbalanced PvP-experience for quite a long time. Same requirements as for the Arkansas: have played X PvP battles between 0.8.0 and 0.whenever.it.is.considered.balanced.and.working. T4 Premium British CV. Don't know what gimmick to give it.

Exeter: Why is there only an "ADMIRAL PACK" ?!
MrFingers replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion

Can Air supply containers drop ship mission if you already own the ship?
MrFingers replied to RAYvenMP's topic in General Discussion
WG is indeed getting way and way more stingy after the "you can earn Warspite/Gallant for 200/220 Sovereigns"-thing. 40 daily missions for a T3 port-queen, now this. 30 plane kills in an unbalanced PvP-mode to get started for Exeter,... Maybe I should start hammering them down once again. -
March Combat Missions: British Power
MrFingers replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Mission has to be done in US, UK or Commonwealth cruisers or DD's... So they either have no AA, or are known to be AA powerhouses and are thus avoided. -

Why don't you post a fully monthly digest up front? So people know how to plan accordingly. Like you did in the earlier part of 2018. -
RN "Exeter" Marathon (starting March 1st)
MrFingers replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
Having plane kills as a incounterable requirement in the current iteration of the game is just poor show, nothing more, nothing less. -
Audio is indeed a bit/way off... Also, who hired Buddy Rich? All those drumrolls upon logging in, hitting battle button, finding a battle, getting in the battle... annoying and redundant!

Event fatigue is a thing, you know. The directives look nice and the framework is polished, but boy... it's too much on too short of a time. The time-gating and short durations of the directives are killing WoWS for me. Cut us some slack, will you. Apart from that: rewards are "acceptable yet dull & predictable", missions aren't too ridiculous (EU ARP NACHI PTSD), yet having plane-kills as a requirement in an unbalanced CV rework state is just bad taste. They happen from time to time, don't do that, don't force people to endure PvP with carriers.

Thirdeded... it feels REALLY sluggish & cumbersome. It wasn't great to begin with, but it was workable. Now it feels like the entire computer is coated in a thick gloop. The "open all containers"-button is a great addition though, now it needs to be expanded with a checkbox for "remember container choice" and "show container animation".

RN "Exeter" Marathon (starting March 1st)
MrFingers replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
It will depend on the requirements... it doesn’t bode too well if Dreadnought (40 daily missions / 20 days) is a reference. -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
MrFingers replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Encountered SkyBuckFlying in his Khabarovsk on my team... He wasn't very good, but we still won.
