Summer Recruitment Drive - Get Paid for Inviting Friends!
MrFingers replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Just a quick thought: how are we supposed to compete with CC’s who have huge exposure and can present their links to an audience for 100.000’s each and every day? -
Start: Fri. 14 Jun. 07:00 CEST (UTC+2) / your local time: Fri. 14 Jun. 07:00 Posts event on the 19th. Error? Typo? Now, if only we had some more WW1-era ships without fictitious upgrades. But hey, they're not T9/10 premiums, why should one care.

We still need everything Italian (BB's, DD's, CL's, CA's), there are still Japanese light cruisers to dip your toes in, British heavy cruisers, a parallel torpedo-heavy US DD line, a lot of interesting Spanish/Swedish/... ships,... And 26451812 new T9/10 freemium/premiums for 26451811 limited/temporary currencies.

Propose WW1 Buttle of Jutland Premium Ships
MrFingers replied to Markja_'s topic in Warship Projects
They are not T9/10, and thus are not on the scope of the WoWS development. T1-8 are just the lead-up to the "real game", which is T9/10 (according to the actions of WG as of lately). -
Credit where credit is due: Wargaming containers

Indeed, a nice gesture! -
What more does this bring than "letting your game idle for 5 minutes in portview", without frying your CPU? It would be more interesting if you'd show how you come up with your contraptions when there are no specific plans for said ships or only rough guidelines and spec-sheets, and show it how you did it (per ship). That would bring some actual info. We all know your modelling team delivers top-notch work, but this series gives nothing of added value.

All About the "In the Service of the Motherland" Collection
MrFingers replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Yeah, I know... But that doesn't fit in the image of "glorious soviet navy", that a majority of their ships were hopelessly outdated and redundant. Not that that should be a bad thing (Germany also had pre-dreadnoughts during WW2), but something about misplaced national pride stands in the way of that. -
All About the "In the Service of the Motherland" Collection
MrFingers replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Making a collection out of 7 items hardly constitutes it as a collection. -

Super Container Loot Thread [ topics merged ]

2nd SC of the year. Just when I'm going to take a break due to holidays, burned/bored out,... It will go to waste though. -
Note the background “cloud” for the ship in the shop... some symbolism by WG...

That is because time is compressed. If you wanted realistic speeds, it would mean battles would last for 20 hours instead of 20 minutes.

@Crysantos How do the drops work? Is it an individual timer for each linked account, and every account independently has its own RNG for drops, or is it "en masse" (so: "on that day on that hour a drop is activated, everyone who happens to watch at that specified moment in time gets a container")?

Not necessary at all once you have a 19pt commander and rake in commander XP at full rate. You can level up a commander faster that way, without any penalty.

They set the goal so you have to grind your @$$ off buy premium containers to get enough tokens. "Working as intended, tsovarich! XAXAXAXA"

Guaranteed value of 3600D, or a (small) chance on a ship + collection items that also drop from daily containers if you have the collection started (with 1 RU-container), coal, signals & camo's that can also be gained via other ways...

WoT is dying, WoWP never managed to live. So the hurdles are lower there in order to get some cash pried from what players they have/have left. What the official reason is: they'll figure something out.

The removal of "notable ships for illustrious resources" are always "hinted" 3 months in advance, and officially announced 2 months in advance of the actual removal.
