The 25% coupon for Premium Ships in the Armory. Are you going to pick something up?
MrFingers replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
Not without spending money. What you can do: Tirpitz is 12800D. 25% discount means 9600D. You currently have 6705D, so you still need 2895D. Go to the premium shop, first click on "my coupons", and take the "2500D"-thing, and use the coupon on that. Then buy 500D (without coupon). That's the cheapest way to get Tirpitz for you at the moment. The "Any amount of doubloon"-option doesn't work with the coupon, sadly enough (that's 9.52€. My method is 8.19€ + 1.65€, and you have some doubloons left) -
A compensation for all players seems to be justified.

Reflecting on year 4 of WoWS - What have you liked/disliked?
MrFingers replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in General Discussion
Liked: - managing to get an end to the shafting of EU-players with absurd missions & meagre rewards compared to other regions, often for exactly the same event/opportunity - the ship-models themselves, and that WG manages to make a game that looks acceptable even on a low-budget rig - British DD's, French BB's, British BB's (controversial!) - the variety of events we had in 2018, especially in the first half - I really like the clan that I'm part of. Disliked: - CV rework "testing" on the live-server, and not being able to find a balance. Totally unacceptable, totally predictable - the ridiculous requirements for events (Benham, French Commander, Russian Commander) that are now worldwide - the non-relenting succession of "seasons", whether it's clan/ranked/babyranked/... without any downtime or time to recuperate - lootboxes, and the fact that WG has shifted from "lootboxes that support events" to "events that support the lootbox". Living in Belgium and physically not having lootboxes in the game REALLY shows how low in quality events have become. - Directives: it's too much, and it's always the same - non-naval themed stuff: I don't want steampunk, giant sailing eagles or other fantasy polluting the game that's about ships. - the overall direction that WG has taken WoWS to: less tactics, more abusive methods of monetization, staff-player interaction,... The game was REALLY good from December 2017 to roughly October 2018. After that it went steeply downhill (CV-rework, grindy marathons (Dreadnought was the first), then upping the lootboxes and lowering the probability of finishing events without forking over money,...) -
What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
MrFingers replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Sillyness in the JB. Needed 2.5M credits in "A French Ship", so I loaded it with some flags & French Camo. -
The new port is a work of art, but just stop making it the default port. I chose a port for a reason, no need to tinker with that. Every time it's the same thing. Apart from that: SC's for T10's: always have been the case. Neutral about it, still happy to see it's still there Flag containers for T8-9's: why? No automatic flag crediting for x 1000 battles played: why was this removed? Too generous? Too little effort from the playerbase required? Wouldn't boost activity numbers? Anniversary-camo's for T7- ships: eh... alright I guess Another directive: bored to the teeth with these directives. Seriously, invent some other stuff, and intertwine that with it, so not everything is directives upon directives upon directives,... Also surprised to see there is no themed collection for the 4th birthday. While it was "somewhat stressful" to get them completed the previous years, and the rewards were dwindling, I did thoroughly enjoy the tongue-in-cheek artworks & descriptions of the collectibles. Maybe not enough has happened in 2018-2019 to make a collection happen, without utterly ridiculing WG?

1 T10: 100x India-Delta flags -
They used to do that for the previous 3 years, so it's really a valid question though.
-
Remains the question: time-limited just for the anniversary, or the "doubloon coupon" is now a thing and here to stay?
-
Am I the only one that's really fed up with the directives? And especially the lack of variety. It's always directives, each patch a new set of directives with a different theme but the same content/requirement types.

Anomalies in the "Recruiting Station" points counter?
MrFingers replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
Result of this week: Points credited: 1040 Points earned: 5240 - 3930 = 1310. That means that 21% of the points that were earned were not credited. From the start of the program, I know I already spent 3890 points on various containers, including the 400 points that you get for getting your first referree. So of the 3930 points my referrees had earned, 440 of them were not credited. Which is 12%. Seems like the database for the recruiting points has an issue especially when amassing large quantities of points during a week and when multiple referrees are playing together. -
How many "Premium" ships you have (not counting ARP and similar)?
MrFingers replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
See signature. The ones in cursive are paid/partially paid for. The ones in regular did not require a monetary transaction (bonuscode, coal-grind, marathon-reward, themed container,...). None of the ships came from a supercontainer. Enterprise came from a standard CV-container earlier this year, Mutsu came from the free Santa-crate of 2017, Atlanta was a bonus-mission during the Indianapolis-marathon, Alabama dropped out of a Yuzral CCT-container. 37 in total 6 of them bought -

The "Core" number of "World of Warships" players...
MrFingers replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
10 battles last month. 8 of them Ranked, 1 Random, and 1 Ranked Sprint. If one comes up with stupid incentives to "keep the playerbase entertained", and all it results in is burning players out. Once you're out of the loop, it's very hard to get back into WoWS. And that's entirely WG's fault.- 23 replies

The "Core" number of "World of Warships" players...

I stuck around since CBT, and managed to get a grand total of 0 French tokens. I just didn't bother with this event (or any in the future if they keep going on this path).- 23 replies

About the "sell back a ship with not more than 1 battle" thingy
MrFingers replied to anonym_FDOLXpxOfXXq's topic in General Discussion
WG Support sometimes isn't aware of the new rules & regulations that are in place. Had the same happen when trying to restore my sold Balancedfast when WG lifted the "6-month deadline of clemency". It was njet at first, but after escalating it, it went without any problem. -
It's not *that* bad anymore TBH. It closes itself when the game launches (no longer running idle/"idle" in the background).
-
WG says it's in the polishing state. You can polish a trainwreck all you want, you still end up with a pile of mangled steel (that's all shiny), it won't magically repair itself with just polish & some time. Look, I'm not against submarines, au contraire... But first fix what needs fixing, before adding more bells & whistles.
-
We've learned from the CV-"rework", and how great that turned out to be. If the CV-rework was successful, and balanced, you would have seen different reactions from a large part of the playerbase. Most stems from "wait, wut? You're working on submarines, and you haven't even found a working balance with the previous class?"
-
Remember when they said that they would roll them out gradually and only when the base is consolidated, in order not to get a CF like the CV-reeeeeework? Yeah, looks like that gets thrown out of the window as well, we'll see subs probably before 2020.

World of Warships is sailing to Greece!

Only if I can host a really obscene wedding on the decks! -
They did give away thousands of Cesare's to dormant/inactive accounts in order to lure them back in the game (among other ships, also Ishizushi's, Prinz Eugens,...). A mail was sent with "log in, and get this ship for free". That's how MrsFingers got her Cesare. https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/145753-email-says-free-cesare-tier-v-and-other-stuffbut-nope/

This comes from reddit, about a thread on the Zeppelin... With numbers like that, it's unlikely the Enterprise will be coming back.
