I entered a random battle with the König at about 9:10AM Swedish time, and I spawned submerged during the countdown with only the top 2 meters or so above the water, however once the match started the ship jumped back up onto the surface and everything went back to normal, what should have happened is that I should have started on the surface non-submerged al ready during the countdown.

I propose that the starting ship type for the German battleships (if or when they make it into the game) is the Deutschland-class pre-dreadnought battleship. After the specs of the SMS Hannover, featuring short range torpedoes and powerful AA for her tier costing her in raw firepower since she only had 2x2 280cm cannon mounts. However still retaining her 6x 45cm torpedoes types and 14x 17cm SK L/40 cannons as well as her 22x 8.8cm SK L/45 naval guns. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_Hannover. As can be read on the website to the left (I know wiki is not always the most reliable but in this case I believe it is good enough to use as a stepping point for research about a ship I feel would make a good starting point or at least a ship class that would make a in my opinion perfect starting point.)

To everyone arguing wich British ship that crippled the Bismarck so badly that the crew decided to sink her rather then give the British the Bismarck it wasn't a ship that did it, it was a Swordfish who dropped a torpedo that hit her aft knocking out her steering that "finished her off" while the Bismarck was still sea capable she was in the end taking so much damage and having been denied assistance from Dönitz and his submarines the crew decided to sink their beloved Bismarck the true scourge of the Atlantic.

Well as stated it was just a thought but as a gentleman mentioned it can still be out in T2 with the Mikasa, I mentioned this for I wanted this to be a place to speculate and come up with ideas to help the WG staff and the SMS Hannover and her 2x sister ships would all make for great T2 BB's as well
