I don't really get the lootbox fuzz. I think the discussion arose mainly because young children might just recklessly spent a lot of money on lootboxes. Lootboxes seem to me like card packs in trading/collectible card games. Some packs feature insane value, others are trash, but you don't know until you open them. Those have been around for a couple of decades now. Was there ever anything wrong with that? It has a similar 'gamble-y' nature as lootboxes. So if that was okay, why shouldn't lootboxes? B.t.w. I like the boxes as they are in WoWs. Some small nice add ons.

In WoWS as well as in WoT teams have never been split up by their nationality. The only way you can have that happen if people organize and do historical battles in training rooms. But I doubt that happens on a regular bases.

Oh derp, I mistook the settings in the settings screen. Shell travel timer working correctly now. Is the new WoWP really different to the old one?

Since the update I've got a problem with the shell travel timer and distance function. It doesn't work anymore. I have it switched on, but it just doesn't work. I even reinstalled the game an hour ago and it's still not working. Any of you got the same problem? I'm running the WG diagnostics thing atm, and will probably send a report on the matter.

Anyone already tried the halloween gamemod? Do you have to be in platoon?

Also consider that 4x 128mm has a fairly short reload, so ships like Atlanta can already rain destruction.

Would be great, however I think the WoT forums would pile up with the usual "arty OP!!!11" threads I think the current biggest gun size in that game is like 11", 14" times 8 or 9 shots will certainly nuke entire teams.

I also just noticed that I didn't put the time travel thing and distance on, fixed that now too so my AP results should improve. And yeah, really looking forward to both Kongo and Fuso.

Anyone of you got some advice on the Myogi? Got the engine and top hull (didn't bother with the range upgrade since the accuracy is lackluster already). At this tier I don't really now what to shoot. I get the feel that the 14" AP overpenetrates way to often, however is HE viable? Armor is lackluster and I don't like the turret set up. It's good when kiting, but not really good at offense. I had hopes for it being speedy, however I find it bleeds speed when turning. When I turn I usually run on 3/4 or 1/2 speed and go max on Q or E. Maybe I lose to much speed by slowing down to 3/4 or 1/2? Right now grinding toward the Kongo. I'm looking forward to that one!

Members from the latter where often pretty active on the WoT forums. Edit: Haha, I'll look into the recruitment thread. I'm currently just slowly getting back into the game and I can't commit myself to all kinds of clan activities I guess, but I'll look into the thread.

Okay, thanks for the info. Is the SCRUBs community the same as the Dingers from WoT? Also I looked up a bunch of the update anouncements and looked through the ingame tech tree. I was pleasently surprised by the apperent rework with the captains perks. Looks good. Crates are also motivational for me I guess, and I wonder what this weekly challenge is (don't own tier 6 ships), but it looks good. Also me thinks that IJN CA, KM BB line and Cleveland look good. I'll try to venture into that. Other lines I'll probably look at are IJN BB, KM DD and RN CL. I'l see how far I get.

hey thanks! Good one, I think I left around the time the British cruiser line got introduced. Good call on the update videos, I'll look them up. Can you just in short describe the traits of the lines then introduced? (like f.e., Russian DDs are mostly gun boats, German BBs apply strong close range armour and german CA/CL prefers shooting away with AP).

Well, the ensign of the Kaiserliche Marine isn't really banned, so they can easily put it into the game. There are different flags for the Russian ships in the game, so this should be possible too.
