Yeah I noticed it too. And iirc there also some other low tier BBs with AA, basically bomber food. And than you also have tier 1 and 2 cruisers who do have AA ... -

I checked on wikipedia (as far as that is a reliable source) and I get the idea that the Arkansas features a sginificant amount of AA (1942 config, I don't think we'll get the 1920's config). -
I think there is some kind of system like that with regards to players picking their username. But sometimes I still encounter players with doubtful usernames in WoT.

I guess naming system might be similar to the incriptions system in WoT. I don't think you can just name a ship your self since some people have an obsession with the letters and numbers H, S, 8 or racist stuff or 'stalins mustache' stuff and WoT don't want to promote this.

Since of late I'm not that active in WoWs. Currently I'm grinding fast to get the T29 in WoT and at the same time I'm finishing all kinds of stuff for my study. In a few weeks I'll have plenty of time to play sheeps.

Which doesn't surprise me. In WoT you will also miss a lot of shots when you are firing at 700m with your D-25t. Let alone shooting each other from 15+km range.

The idea is nice I think, but isn't it possible to put it in an European tree? tbh I would prefer that. I think the Dutch have some more ships to put into game, not enough for an entire tree on it's own, but maybe a mini tree/branch in a European tree. (btw, I'm also from NL) -

Slightly off topic question. I've got a question about the forum lay out. In WoT there are like 10 comments per page. Somehow on this forum all the comments are displayed below each other (no pages), resulting in situations were I have to scroll down several meters to sees ome comment halfway in the topic... which isn't really convenient. Is it possible to change this lay out, so it shows 10-15 comments per page?

Ok, thanks for your reply Shepbur! I noticed on the lower tiers that it is quite common to see the ships move in to closer combat, I just don't have an idea how this worked in higher tier battles (and the yt vids often seemd like long range battels, when BBs were played). But the USN BBs will be here soon right? If I want to go more into BBs I think I'm more interested in getting more up close (like the 10km range you mentioned) than hanging way back. Are the USN ships also buil around long range engagments or do they prefer it a bit more close and personal? I recall some guy in some Warspite htread mentioned that Pacific Ocean fleets relied on long range engagements, while Atlantic fleets fought at closer distances, due to more intense wave action/storms or smth. In that case RN and KM ships should be interesting I guess. -

+1 Very informative guide. I have a question about long range engagement. One disclaimer first: only BB played so far is Kawachi (1 co-op battle) and ships played with most range would be Chikuma I think. I watched a couple of youtube vids, including vids of high tier BBs, so I see how long range engagements tend to be inaccurate. The question: Is it better to engage long range (plunging fire) with hereby having the risk of losing quite a lot of shots? OR is it better to engage more mid range (no plunging fire), with more accuracy but also with more risk to bounce of your shells? -
Isn't it just a case how a certain country views a certain ship? The US introduced the Alaska-class cruisers, yep cruisers according to them, while a lot of other countries were in the opinion that these ships were rather battle cruisers. I guess it's just a matter of definition.

WoT servers are in Munich (Germany) and Amsterdam (Netherlands) iirc. Mostly in Amsterdam I think (can someone confirm this?). Don't know about WoWs, but it seems reasoble to me that these servers will be at the same locations.

I still do play WoT (played some 4k-5k games in total), but I think I will shift my focus more to the sheeps than the tonks. I'm not really good at tonks, so I hope to be better at sheeps :p

I'm slowly getting through all of your captains academy vids. Good job, keep them up! Had one question on the HE vs AP question: isn't HE also useful if you fire at an enemy ship at mid to long range that you otherwise couldn't pen? -

I met Kostis_Larsson and he met 2-4 of my torpedos (10/10 division again). Only have met kptstrzyga in the forumite chat so far, but I guess will play a couple of agmes together soon enough. -

I plan on buying on of those things to get into CBT. But I only plan to start playing the thing (most likely to be Gremsovietdestroyer) once I played up to tier 4-5 on a line. Which shouldn't be too hard to get too I think....
