it's called being carefull, losing a entire bomber sortie in the first 5min by strafing enemy fighters is not helping the team either, does it? if all (torpedo)bombers are lost by strafing enemy fighters, it takes to long to setup a new attack run on a group of ships or even a single ship going solo

i could do that, but a lot of replay's are older, don't know if you can play them but to give you a idea, here is a report i send to support once started a match in my tier X carrier Midway right from the start a player in the tier X destroyer Grozovoi called "******" started flaming me and demanded i give him air cover, like i am his personal body guard or something. i ignored him as i don't respond to flamers or players who insult me while i am trying to find a target to bomb/torpedo i noticed on the minimap a DD coming towards me, and sure enough it was "******" in his tier X destroyer Grozovoi. with past expierence i knew what he was going to do, either harras me or fire torpedoe's at me, and sure enough, the moment he's close enough he fires them straight at me casuing massive damage and flooding he tried this a second time and a third time at wich the team started to notice his behavior and somebody asked him what the f*ck is he doing, at wich "******" said "i suck for not giving him personal air cover and that teamkilling me wil teach me a lesson etc etc etc" considering i am already in a tier X carrier with a 19 skill point captain with over a million expierence on the ship, i wonder what kind of lesson it would be. altough i personaly reported him, this kind of behavior does not belong in the game as the report system does not have the abbility to give him a valid punishement screenshots and replay provided as evidence

well, i don't expect every one to act like a British gentlemen but the the amount of sh*t one gets in the first 5min as a tier X CV player for no valid reason is . . . bad. like a said before, if i do, players wil try to find anything to flame about and insult/threats will quadruple i know . . . it was like that before i set them private . . .

No. the thread was started over year ago because the (verbal) abuse against tier IX and X CV players (including me) was getting out of hand fast and since then has not improved. care to explain how you can judge a CV player in the first 5 min of a game that has a 20min life span . . . judge a CV player when the game is over, not in the first 5min apparently reading is hard, like i said before, my stats are outdated for about 2.5years, anything you can see by means like XVM does not represent current stats and no, i wil not set my stats to public

then tell me, what gives players the right to insult, threaten (including death threats), harass me (ingame and PM after) or disrupt the game by constantly spamming or even trying to teamkill me in within the first 5min of a game before it's even clear what the outcome of the game will be. please tell me . . .

like the other 85% of response here, you have no clue how it is on higher tier carriers, the abuse you got for no valid reason or because the team as a whole failed.

their is a difference between "a little criticism", wich is ok, and flat out insults, (death) threats, disruptive gameplay (getting attacked by "friendly's") and abusing the report system. not only is it quite sad to see that some base their criticism on outdated stats, they critize me whitout even playing (high tier) carriers themself and have no idea how bad it gets ingame just because you don't follow the herd of sheep style gameplay (because a youtuber says you need to do this or that). people seem to forget that a winrate on a single ship does NOT reflect the capability of the player to use set carrier, a winrate reflects the outcome of a certain amount of matches, wich is still, by my knowledge, a team effort. if the team fails (camping, lemming fleet to one side resulting in getting outflanked, broadside to a Yamato at point blank range getting 1 shotted, etc . . .) there is almost nothing a CV can do, the team failed, NOT the CV player. i have been insulted and threatend when playing the Midway in the first 3-4min of a game, by tier X US AA cruisers camping behind a rock, just because i don't provide personal AA cover, i mean srsly? hell, if even been insulted by players (who at that point and with 6k-8k games, did not even own a single tier IX or X ship) in a tier VIII BB for not provinding personal AA cover while they went solo on the far side of the map . . . people who don't play carriers seem to think planes are "invulnerable" and that i got a unlimited supply of them. like i said before, i can attack a group of ships existing of tier IX/X BB's and (AA) cruisers, but if i loose nearly all my planes within 10min doing so, somebody explain to me how i can support the team the remaining 10min . . . and i will support DD's if i can and when i can, getting my bombers shot down by enemy fighters before even reaching a target because my fighters are on the other side of the map spotting a DD is not helping the team either . . .

wow, you found WoWs replay site . . . recently there are only 2 uploads by me, 1 from 4/1/19 and 1 from 3/1/19 the next one is from 30/9/18 and then the next one is from 28/3/18 and the one before from 22/3/18 did you actualy watch the replay or the YT vids to form such strong oppinion?

like the fact that i stated before that my stats are marked private for nearly 2.5years now and anything you can see is outdated . . . how hard is that to understand? also no valid response on why you think you suck at playing Cv without actual trying it . . .

that was not the question . . . you say you suck at carrier gameplay, yet you only have tier 4 and 5 played so far that only requires point and click type gameplay against ships that have crap AA or no AA at all . . . otherwise a typical "i dont play CV at all, but i like to judge those who do" reply

yet you never reached a tier 6 carrier, so can you know that you suck if you don't try it? . . . at tier 4 and 5 you only need to point and click . . . well, you can't blame WG for that, carriers have been considerd a weird and novilty item at first by the armed forces, putting more effort in creating new cruiser and battleships

how are those 33 games played in CV? this is a prime example of a none CV playing player that thinks he can critize a player that tries what he can ingame . . .

exactly like that, most of the time ingame, some in PM after the game. and indeed, most of the time those kind of people do not play CV themself or have little to no carrier expierence at all

it's like in real life, you make 1 mistake (or have bad game) and everyone remembers that but do something good and people forget it within 5min. all to often the carrier is blamed yes, but players ignore the fact that it is a team game, for me personal i wil never get my bombers to a group of tier X AA cruisers guarding tier X BB's and people think i am a bad player for it. what's the point in losing 25-30% of your strike capability in the first 3min of the game . . .

we all have our verbal bad times, including me and yes, i play for fun, but i wil never leave my team hanging and i will do what i can with the means that i have some players seem to forget planes do need to reload or the Midway does not have it's jetfighters like before taking time to go from one end of the map to the other if the enemy is using its Hakuruy with 4 fighter squadron setup, players with a Midway (2 fighter squadrons) are at a great disadventage, but people would rather flame and insult because if the Midway player takes more time to plan a attack

i will probbably keep my tier X carriers, as a sort of achievement

i played the Midway on the test server with the "new" style gameplay the gameplay is the same in games like Battlestations Pacific and Midway, wich i played before to, even in multiplayer the new style gameplay makes it more accessible for more players, yes, but takes no skill at all any more

well i never claimed to be a unicum in the Midway and like other players i do have the occasional brainfart, the Midway was my first Tier X ship +/- 2,5 years ago and much has changed since then. but the point of this thread i started a year ago was to adress, at times, the serious threats and insults i receive ingame and in PM after the game, unfortunately enough the thread got sidetracked fast the first few pages by some members basing there "opinion' on stats that have been outdated for a couple of years. the frustrated thing about some of those are players that do not play CV themselfs or hardly play carriers at all hell even in-game at times i get teamkilled (or they try) just because i don't follow their orders (destroyer players mostly), at one time i received death threats because a DD player tried to teamkill my Miday by firing torpedoes at me causing flooding wich i refused to repair causing in his death. yeah, carriers are hard to learn to play any good, but with this kind of toxicity by players who dont play themselfs is . . . frustrating to say the least.

funny as you and your fellow clan members started to flame at me right from the start of the round before i even could launch a sortie at a ship hell, you and the rest of the division kept flaming and insulting the entire match at other players to because we dont play how you think we should play but like i said before, wat do i know of the Midway's gameplay with currently 795 battles the only ones damaging themselfs is behavior like yours and players in your clan, it's not the first (and wil be the last) time that members of your clan act like douchebags ingame and naming and shaming works both ways to . . .

my profile is private since the i started to play WoWs and is kept private due to constant verbal insults and assault by players when i play high tier carriers naming and shaming does not apply here, since this is a public clan thread and the fact remains you and 2 others kept verbaly abusing me and other players for not doing your bidding or playing as you think me or others should play and what does a old thread has to do with anything? The midway was my first Tier X ship nearly 2,5 years ago, at current i got 783 battles played in it, in 2,5years lot's of new ships where added and gameplay has changed a lot, but hey, wat do i know, right? stil to this day people seem to forget that a carrier is not there to be your personal guardian or do your personal bidding, a DD rushing a cap circle with 3-4 radar/AA cruisers in the other team is no concern for me as i do NOT intend to loose 50-60% of my sorties for 1 ship, a DD this early in the game needs to be in cover and stealth, capping reveals your position. even to this day, like you amongst others, seem to forget that sending 1 squadron after another the first 5-8min of a game into a group a ships at tier X is suicidal, not only do AA cruisers pop up at the "last minute" (5-6km if fully upgraded) the combined AA rating of just a small group of ships combined (for example a Salem, Des Moines, Montana and for fun a tier 8 Alabama) is enough to kill 85-95% of a entire sortie of 2 torpedo squadrons, 2 dive bomber squadrons and if not intercepted by enemy fighters 2 fighter sqaudrons. loosing entire sqaudrons this early in the game results in long relaunch times and reassembling of set sorties and the inabbility to re-attack any ships in the game if the enemy team keeps AA cruisers near BB's, i wil ask to attack those AA cruisers, but if they would rather keep shooting at BB's to farm damage and XP, there is nothing a CV player can do besides trying to find a other target, even if this means flying to the other side of the map. if you keep in mind that the current Tier X carriers lost a lot of planes a few patches ago, making suicidal runs on certain ships in the first 6-8min of any given round is basicly not done. in general people seem to forget the outcome of a match does not depend on the carrier alone, it plays a certain role in it, but like stated before, if the team fails to prioritise targets like AA cruisers guarding BB's, please tell me how i can support the team if all bombers are gone within 10min of a 20min round. i never claim to be a unicom CV player, but after 3 years and 1600 battles in carriers of with 783 are in the Midway alone, you learn things . . . but to give you a idea, that even with a good round in my Midway, if the team fails, the round is lost, 2 matches in the Midway come to mind 1 where i did 345.988 damage and we still lost and stil i got blamed for it, ingame and later in PM https://replayswows.com/replay/20123#stats at present my Midway alone has 1.791.216 XP and i got around 200 screenshots of verbal abuse and insults (and even death threats) in PM alone after playing the Midway so please enlighten me how this toxicity towards carrier players is helping?
