just to put it in prospective new fusou turning radius: 660m kongou: 720m nagato: 680m amagi: 820m izumo: 800m yamato: 800m and just ot put an extra ship cleveland: 660m so not only the fuso has the best turning radius out of all the jap BBs which makes absolute no sense since she wasn't agile at all and for sure not as agile as a kongou could be but she can also turn like a cleveland because that makes sense

the experience the pilots had is a big factor but you also have to remember that in the later phases of the war japan was heavily outnumbered ... when a task force with 4 carriers faces something like 9 essex class carriers there is no plane that can change the outcome

a BB should absolutely annihilate a CA, CAs aren't designed to go toe to toe with BBs they were ment as a support vessel for larger ships (BBs and CVs) a screening against air threats and small ships like DDs and other CAs. CAs are not supposed to be the ultimate doom weapon nor jack of all trades

just talking about kamikaze squadrons like that is disrespectful in so many levels there was a lot more than that behind it and regardless they never used carrier based fighters in kamikaze attacks but land based planes like the oscar

there is no such thing as dominating when hitting ships if your planes can't get to the said ship, and why would that even be neccessary ? japanese had great fighters absolutely able to put up a good fight against us fighters and japs weren't stupid they didn't just fill their carriers of nothing else but bombers

load he in the 155s and you can win any fight with the concealment upgrade mogami gets spotted at 10km or a bit lwer than that i haven0t had any problem at all with my mogami she works well just like she worked well before the patch

following this line of thinking then early jap fighters should shred us fighters to pieces since us didn't have anything able to compete with jap fighters untill the f6f got in service while instead they just drop like flies without killing anything

it's a remodeled kuma class ship i don't know what you were expecting from a kuma it was never a successful ship to the point it was used mostly for troop transport so once again shouldn't expect much from it ... the only thing is that ingame she gets only 10km range on her torps when she should have long lances

the real problem is that you rarely get any good matchmaking for your carrier most of the time either the enemy team has 2 carriers and you're alon or they have a higher tier carrier which can completly annihilate your planes even in a 2v1 fighter situation forcing you to invest more onto fighter squads to be able to do anything and as you said you are left with the absolutely dreadful dive bombers the situation does change a bit when you get the lexi because she can use 2x fighters + 2x TB but before that it's dreadful -

if after t6 you NEED premium to not lose money you are either terrible at the game or very very unlucky with your teams

not quite in the pacific carriers were the main striking force while bbs and ca were mostly there for screening... and ingame carriers don't quite kill everything as easily as you make it sound they msotly kill bbs anything smaller is actually really hard to strike effectively and the planes take a huge time to rearm and fly to the target and can be engaged and shot down while they do so so "no downsides" is a huge stretch my friend
