they have saved me every single match somebody tried to snipe me it just takes some smart scouting

Does WG favor some people with T10 carriers?
Zaods replied to Delta_Leader's topic in General Discussion
taihou launches single squadrons faster but she needs to get more squadrons in the air the whole process is not that much quicker -
jap bombers drop like fly and up to t8-9 there isn't a bb long enough to be hit by more than 2 torps per spread apart from nagato maybe the spread is stupid and jap bombers have no durability whatsoever ... landing torps with us carriers is just jokingly easy ... even the best carrier players we have in the server agree that essex is more efficent than taihou both in full strike
-
it's fiddly for sure personally i like the 1 1 1 setup too because i hate not having fighters but sometimes when low amount of carriers are in the que i just go full strike ... the thing is that armor make dive bomber's job harder than how much it can do to torp bombers ... you want something with a soft deck to hit so usually carriers take a whole bunch of damage apart from taihou and hakuryuu because they have pretty thick armor plating under the flight deck
-
mmh i'm not going to say that's not what wg wants
-
that is not really true if you actually score hits which either means you used manual dropping or you got lucky with the auto one you can do some serious damage you can punch a hiryuu to half hp just with the dive bombers impact damage of a ranger then he will have 2-3 fires to deal with
-
this is all sidetracked the point is that us carriers are much more than sky cleaners their strike setup can be more effective than jap ones and dive bombers get incredibly unerestimated and probably because people only use automatic drops with them
-
you get 6 tbs and 18 dive bombers how is that not good enough to kill ships ? my ranger scores kills even with the 1 1 1 configuration
-
erie will kick the kongou's [edited]man erie is stronk ship regardless i think the durability difference already equalizes things considering that a jap carrier is much more likely to lose bombers because of aa before it gets to drop
-
oh wait let me compare an erie with a kongou then ! Essex is not a t10 and regardless in a 25vs21 situation the fact that us bombers are much more durable already do equalize things
-
strike us cvs put in the sky as many tbs as japanese ones and they have better spreads and more durable planes they can kill ships better than japs
-
is more like a 50 meter but when you put it in prospective with the huge ship models and small as [edited]maps yeah looks like 5m
-
that is probably the funniest video around
-
no problems mate ... is always nice to improve ^^

welcome to the forums ! :3

actually that is incorrect shipborne torps do have an arming distance and that is to keep the ship that launched them safe, of course is much shorter than air dropped torps... when you are in a ship capable of launching torps the distance between your ship and the green arc you see when you aim your torps is the arming distance of your torps

morpheuss, on 07 June 2015 - 09:15 PM, said: I agree, I have an Essex and I SUCK because I've been too lazy to learn how to predict the BB's counter tactics to DB's and I just can't master manual TB aiming atm. I watched that German guy Psomething (I never remember his name) and he absolutely wreaked havoc in one game doing that he had something like 64x DB hits in the Tier X JPN CV. I know he's an amazing player but if I could just get half of those hits I'd be happy. yeah people underestimate dive bombers way too much Dai2, on 07 June 2015 - 09:13 PM, said: Not a bad idea either... offtopic: need a kongou pic i hear ?

morpheuss, on 07 June 2015 - 09:07 PM, said: Just to add to that, I'm a terrible carrier player but I've recently noticed, if you play smart you can really hurt BB's with your DB's just hold them back and wait for them to repair after you hit them with torps, assuming you cause flooding, then hit them with DB's. They have to wait like what? 2 mins before they can repair or automatically put out the fires? DBs do less damage on hit than TBs but stacked fire does a lot more damage than flooding ... hold them back making sure they are not spotted so the guy doesn't see them coming and hold on to his R skill and after you strike with torps come in with dbs and get a good 3/4 fires in ... and if you haven't already put some effort into learning how to efficently manual bomb with dive bombers ... it makes a pretty big difference in high tiers Dai2, on 07 June 2015 - 09:10 PM, said: Maybe a sort of wot style ammo screen? And the flight control upgrades would give you more squadrons? i would change the deck module which make no sense into hangar upgrades and have the plane customization similar to what navy field 2 has
-
i am totally for customizable loadouts
-
you see my friend there is a difference between someone who isn't too good but it's trying to improve and someone who isn't too good and opens retarded topics on the forums asking to buff whe he uses or nerf what kills him instead :3
-
you both have no idea of what you are talking about full strike us cvs can hit even harder than jap cvs because of their thigt spread and 6 tbs per squad and don't underestimate dbs... you can stack fire, you can't stack flooding ... causing 3 fires or even 4 if attacking a battleship can cause amazing amount of damage over time
-
you heard only "one ping" from the alarm because the alarm goes off when the torps get armed when you heard it the torps were already in the water for a few seconds at least + you can clearly see the planes coming. you should never wait for the torp alarm to go off to dodge that is way too late
-
it's the reason why i bring fighters with my hiryuu instead of only bombers. Does it lower my damage output ? yes, but i am still doing more damage than a sunken carrier
