coupon cashback 200% How can I get it?
Karkong_the_Impaler replied to BM13_KatyushaEU's topic in General Discussion
Also this is - at least in part - a cheap trick to lure you into spending money. Not judging here but be a ware that the price of dubs is arbitrary, it would cost wg literally nothing to set some bits and give everyone one billion dubs and steel to match. PS: What is cheaper? An egg for 1 euro or two eggs for 1.50? Of course 1€ is less - unless you need two eggs. And when you need zero eggs, not purchasing anything is cheaper still. -
Based on nothing, I think we need more italian DDs.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Karkong_the_Impaler replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Come on, being on second place isn't that bad. -
If you look at the screen behind him, you will see WGs own player skill ranking: I admit it's an internal scale, probably not for public consumption, but nonetheless... as a matter of fact, bad players are bad. Even if the snowflakes can't take it without crying.

Operations nerfed ????
Karkong_the_Impaler replied to RenamedUser_92906789's topic in General Discussion
But 75% is still 25% less than 100%. And 25% more is 125%. Only if you consider the 75% the basis on which to calculate the percentage, THEN you need to increase it by 33.3% to reach the former 100%, but that's 1/3 more. A statement about the basis on which to calculate it is absent, but I guess you are right. On the other hand, that sounds about the right kind of scummy "miscomunication" for WG, to be honest. Edit: Apparently we guessed right. That said I don't care the least about operations, but I hope that everyone enjoys them. -
Uh. There are also bot CVs in randoms. And I'm not sure subs are actually being played by humans at all in randoms.

I really think the most exhilariating fights end in draws and I think it's a bit sad that no one gets rewarded for all that effort. I can't see why a roflstomp is worth a bonus to the winners in comparison. But due to the rarity, it's an extremely unimportant issue.

Please fix the coal container.
Karkong_the_Impaler replied to Corpsetaker's topic in General Discussion
Maybe raise the chance of coal for the #2 and #3 container? On the other hand, as long as there aren't camos, I don't care, I usually take one signals, one coal and a luck. @YabbaCoe While we are at it: Why is there no way to skip that annoying crane animation? I don't fall for cheap reward mechanics because my IQ is above the room temperature. Please talk to your psychological warfare department - there are more than enough other dark patterns in the game that try to keep people playing or spending money. -
Happy?

At the end of a season, that's not false. Early in the season you only have the ocassional potato which can also be quite annoying, but on average the skill level is very high. In my opinion the qualification should be done with the higher league rules - for that player, shouldn't be so hard to programm - so the hordes of unwashed at the gate don't mix with the players behind the gate. Unfortunately if they try long enough, they still will make it, just by catching a chain of lucky carries. Thus my option would be to limit the leagues to certain win rates. Yes, we're lacking a moving average filter and it's a crutch and so on, but it's still the best thing we have. Or simply run a "pre qualification", between the seasons you have to play at least 50 tier 10 games and deduct the win rate from there, that would also get rid of the seal clubbers. Then limit silver to 47% win rate and gold to 51% win rate, depending on the amount of players. Just be adivsed, that would make these leagues much harder, especially for the lower end of the allowed skill range. Alternatively distribute players by their win rate across the leagues - just increase the amount of awards or reduce the requirements to receive them, because a good player doesn't have to stomp over bronze and silver anymore and the reduced randomness due to the removal of unqualified players will lead to more average results, making it harder to advance. PS: I actively try not to think of bad players as "idiots". They're just bad and admittedly and certainly in gold, very annoying when they throw your game. But two out of three 45% DDs put down a smoke if you ask nicely.

Changes to reload mechanics and special commanders
Karkong_the_Impaler replied to Port_Authority's topic in General Discussion
Still OP as it continues to remove all the debuffs. If you count that, the other effects are negligible. @Seraphice No answer concerning WGs urgent desire to stomp on DDs some more? Do we have too many? Just today I saw two on each side! Are the BBs complaining? -

@ARE_YOU_HUMAN again, this time in a Forrest Dump. He saved the day by sailing away. Seriously, that match was painful. I also underestimated the Colberts AP. Never again. Replay Attached: human 20220906_213758_PFSC510-Colbert_54_Faroe.wowsreplay -
Worst and best coal ship you ever bought?
Karkong_the_Impaler replied to Dejzen's topic in General Discussion
I think it's much harder to be really good in BBs as opposed to influential ships. They're probably more average - better for bad players, because they get closer to the median, worse for good players, because they have it harder to escape the inherent limits. But then I don't base it on data, it's more my personal feeling - could be wrong. Concerning the restriction in CBs, well, yes, I admit you have a point there, but my guess this is to prevent an eternal slugfest of bow tanking. Just look at the recent BB only brawl. That was painful. -
A few truly bad players can cave in their flank by simply dying at inopportune moments. Just yesterday there was an, on average, much better team. But their DDs died early, BB then proceeded to camp the back row, the few remaining Cruisers in between got outspotted and focussed. And then there is unicums matched against potatos. While you can fight like the devil, you usually can't single handedly stop the defeat when your teams BBs hide on the A line and refuse to shoot spotted DDs. Just accept that it's going to end badly, that there will likewise be a match that favours you and just try to carry as hard as you can. Yes, I also feel the urge to scream once in while. Just yesterday I had a Z-52 that died in a knife fight to a Daring and never even used hydro.

Changes to reload mechanics and special commanders
Karkong_the_Impaler replied to Port_Authority's topic in General Discussion
So... what did the DDs ever do to you? Isn't the submersible scum spotting you to death enough? Why would anyone buff BBs (or worse, say, Cpt. Schettinos favourite cruiser Venezia) even more? -

Karkong_the_Impaler replied to Dejzen's topic in General Discussion
To the contrary, I feel it's easier to influence the battle in, say, a radar Mino or a Druid than in any BB. Yeah, you have big guns and survivablity, but just look at a map what happens if you kill cruisers and DDs? They... run. And snipe ineffectually some more. And if they don't, they get focussed to death inside 40 seconds. -

Karkong_the_Impaler replied to Dejzen's topic in General Discussion
You don't have much influence on the outcome of the match, nobody cares you stuck five permafires on BBs when all your DDs and radar cruisers are dead. But it's fun to juke long range shots or blap people who don't expect AP. Or citadel Smollies with HE. This is the ship I wish there was an english 75% reload speed captain. -
Please remove this stupid collision system
Karkong_the_Impaler replied to ARE_YOU_HUMAN's topic in General Discussion
It's an IQ test. If both ships come to a full stop, they will separate. Just be happy that it doesn't involve three wows players, because then they would vote on it and you'd be stuck forever. -
Yes, but that's the ship you need to play to not only hate CVs like anyone else, but truly loathe CVs.
-
The Minotaur is a special case. At long to range mod distances, you can actually pen the decks of BBs better: https://shiptool.st/selected?s=BC110&c=top&p=ap&rm=18 Hover over the "penetration" stat to see the deck penetration and then adjust the distance you're shooting at. This is because it almost rains on the target. Unfortunatly, at these distances, the rain becomes a drizzle.

None of the above. If you insist, I'd say Incomparable, because you would learn to loathe CVs then. That is a relevant skill to participate in the forums.

Ok, nothing against data, even bad data is data If this was my job to farm X silver a day, I'd also use the most efficient ship available. Fortunately I just play the ship I want to play, because it's fun.
