Uh. Ok: People complain about submarines all the time. It's not effective. Probably the required change is too big for mere community managers, someone who paid the bills has that sunken cost fallacy.

Theoretically they're supposed to carry our questions to the devs and come back with answers. What other uses does a "community manager" have?

I disagree here. If something is lost, really, really, lost, please go down guns blazing and don't kite to J10 - especially when you can't even keep a star. Or at least try to die doing something useful instead of simply wasting everyones time. The line to draw is a bit fuzzy, but when you are alone and can't make it without killing the whole enemy team or can't cap in time or the whole enemy team is still alive, I consider it acceptable. I even expect it from an enemy as good manners, to be honest. Doing this at 3vs6 is unquestionably too early, especially while flaming your teammates.

Actually I like dropping derp charges on stupid subs I hydroed myself in the Druid. Anyone else just gets shafted. The issue are smart players who spot you to death and/or shotgun you. The only redeeming quality of the submarine is the terrible players that usually play them. Unfortunately WG ( @YabbaCoe @Seraphice ) can't or won't react on the question on how subs are supposed to be balanced against the classes. Personally I think DDs aren't really in need of another counter... BBs? Can take one, by the simple virtue of having way to many of them in the game. BB mains might disagree.

If that were the case, I'd have a close to 100% win rate in the Druid because no other DD even comes close to the short range stabbyness. It's only the enemy support that decide cap contests against me. Also, you might wish to learn how to play DD to better appreciate what they do.

a) What's so bad about the name? Am I missing something? He's neither a monkey (too articulate) nor does he sniff glue (at a guess ). Is it a language barrier thing? b) I assume stating your intentions is the cause for the ban. Because simply going down guns blazing might be stupid, but that doesn't take everyone elses fun out of the game. Edit: Now that you know the cause - how about you share the replay? Then we could even vote and you can see what the player base here thinks?

Nah, too obvious. But imagine, tier 10 (and [edited] supershits) being the vaunted russian post war designs, nothing even comes close. And there is this top sekrit document they found in a forgotten bunker behind the Ural mountains with a '44 design for supercavitating nuclear torpedos...

The worse they are, the more support they need. If you just look at PotatoAlert and then stay back - because he's crap - he will die alone. You could tell yourself you did the right thing, but that's more like a self fulfilling prophecy. The main DD skill I still need to hone is not going for the cap if my BBabies and especially cruisers sail away. Or, harder to recognize, if they ineffectually park behind islands so they can't shoot. Your DD is in constant danger of perishing in an instant while you are in the back row, immune to deletion by virtue of healh pool and armor - and you still have the audacity to complain about your self inflicted uselessnes? Yeah, imagine you commit and your DD rethinks and runs away, you're as [edited] as he is when you don't help. The only difference is, it's harder to compensate because you lack the agility. It's not that DDs deceide the game and you can't do a thing. It's that DDs deceide the game BECAUSE you choose not to do a thing. That's clearly not a DD issue, it's a you issue. CVs on the other hand... as there is nothing you can do against CVs and especially the spotting they provide - yes, they deceide matches. Not as stupidly as in the bovine excrement RTS days, but bad enough.

Well, if you camp around the J line while the DDs fight for the cap, then you can't "discourage" radar cruisers from overextending by blapping them for half their health. If that's "the triangle mafia deceiding the game", it's rather you not being useful enough in my opinion. BBs and Zao share the same basic issue - they love to enter the fight at max range and keep it there. That is a playstyle unto itself, ok, but you're only deceisive by slowly killing the enemies, not helping to get the cap.

There was a threat recently, concerning karma and if it's ok to report subs and CVs. Apparently, yes. I mean, come on, it's called "karma", if you play a class that just craps on others with the lame excuse that it's balanced, because there is one on the other side, too... you ruin the fun of many other players, that simple fact gets you reported. No matter how skillfull you crapped on the enemies. Probably by your own team, too, for good measure. Reminder to self. Make rethorical questions more obvious.

That's not it. I was just saying that there are many reasons why one could get reports and commendations in the same match. Also playing CV and losing karma? How did you notice? Not by the total changing from zero, right?

Or, to play the devil's advocate, you blinded your team by smoking up and not spotting, didn't cap even though the enemy DD and radar cruisers had been killed, forcing your CL into capping who subsequently died there. Then you proceeded to sail the J line, ineffectually torping ships out of range and the only thing of note you did the whole game was being the last man standing on your team when the clock ran out. Yes, one of your mates might appreciate that you've won. The others hate your guts for making it so hard on them. But mostly you're right. I mean, as long as you can report the players who killed you...

And all the shpshul submarine plays... W, W, W, W, constantly ping/torp anything in range untill they die straightlining into a barrage of ASW.
