  2. People tend to aim center mass and apparently hope your bow or your stern comes on fire when they hit. This is not so. Not having two center parts that can burn is a huge benefit in this regard. Way bigger than the description would make you believe. Also you gain a few % fire resistance, which is nice. But go ahead, play without it, just on the red team, if you'd be so kind. You can even have this: PS: No, this is not required for coop, at all. In coop you can play a three legged tugboat, dismiss your captain, uninstall the modules and have a heart attack in front of the computer where all you manage to do is fall face first on the W key and still carry the match.

    This. So much. A seperate game mode where CVs can compare who can crap harder on bots. Not much of a difference to any other game mode and everyone, literally everyone is happy.

    To the contrary. There are so many BBs who don't have their minimap displayed (no other explanation). Subs can spot other subs on the surface or at periscope depth, using their consumable, but it only shows up there. It's easy to throw some ASW planes at him, then - but no one does, because the minimap distracts from sniping. And then they run off. BBs haven't yet learned that it's their ASW that's supposed to kill the enemy sub, but come here and [edited] about them anyway. Submarines force teamplay, one spots, the other kills - that's much more efficient than letting the subs knife it out, because that takes way too long. But forcing teamplay on your average BB can only lead to disaster.

    That is actually one of the useful side effects - subs cull the hordes of useless BBs. If only they'd offer the 4501 to go and hunt CVs with....

    Don't look further for a pattern. You manage - with or without a contribution - to win a few games. But it's just like flipping a coin, you win some, you lose some. To randomly flip enough heads or tails in a row is increasingly unlikely. And with these stats, a losing streak is just much more likely than for a good player, because you're almost always reliant on a good team carrying you. You would need to get lucky or you need an insane amount of tries. tl;dr everything is well within the expected variance.

    I mean, this idea made it into actual testing. Someone escalated this utter brain fart so far that they spent resources to program it! Do not overestimate WG.

    I guess the playerbase got used to the pain, thus a new kind of suffering needed to be invented. Can't wait for tuberous plants to blind their own team with the smoke when all they try is to use the new gas weapon on the enemy.
  12. Man, you need to ask which skill first, and the answer in each and every* battleship is fire protection. This is especially true with homungous BBs which double as a landing platform for every HE shell sent their way and feature a freshly oiled teak deck. *Incomparable doesn't need it. Probably some british with Zombie heal neither. But the rest does, or you're just asking to be farmed like a potato field. Unless your playstyle is "fall face first on the W key and hope the secondaries compensate for the lack of skill". Then one can argue that you're getting shot to pieces way before the skill becomes usefull.

Or the cetaceans became 50% dumber, but I am unsure on how they manage breathing and clicking "I confirm I am a sane adult of legal age" at the same time with only one intact brain cell left. I can envision them, trying to click, no longer breathing, getting all red in the face - but not even the attempt at basic bodily functions, their bowels emptying - just the one last click and then they're extinct.

    On a scale of 0 to 10, how sure are you that CVs are your thing? This is not going to be fun for you nor for your team you're gracing with your presence. Why not learn the game first? I mean, this lists includes the US. And not even in the top three. You have an higher average in a tier 4....

    Let's not deceive ourselves - you are at a skill level where even WGs very polite euphemism is "plain bad". The reason you lose more often than you win isn't manipulated matchmaking or personalized RNG or the phase of the moon not aligning with your inner chakra. The reason is you. If everyone dies before you do, maybe don't camp J1 and start helping? Don't get me wrong, there are uncarryable matches, where the team just disintegrates, no matter what you do. But the only constant in all your matches is you, so... git gud?
