New SUB intro is misleading, doesn't show the true sub gameplay.

    What to buy for doubloons?

Don't have Elbing, but you can check the dispersion (and sigma) on shiptool.st https://shiptool.st/filter?g=TP&ty=ABCD&n=ABFGHIJRSUVWZ&tn=1&tx=11&c=top&p=mb&rm=12&os=mb&op=Ver._dispersion&o=asc It is the best, by a tiny margin. The flight time makes much more of a difference here, it's comparatively atrocious. Continuously hitting the superstructure on BBs or predicting the juking of a DD is quite challenging, but if you manage to do that well, I expect my mino damage to increase, too. PS: Didn't realize Ragnar is also nearly as accurate....

Toxicity in this game is ridiculous

Well, I you not, I once got chatbanned for writing "[edited]disco" when I had a disconnect. My favourite hypothesis is that someone is a big fan...

    Why bot CV in co-op?

WG is an equal opportunity provider of pain and suffering. Why should you be exempt from the glorious CV gameplay? You should probably improve morale, or you get the submarine again...

Please, take apart my replay. I'm seriously interested what I could have done better. I already appreciate your advice to simply shoot the probably surfaced subs when they ping, Colbert seems predestined with that golden shower of love for liberal spam. On the other hand I still believe you don't have much clue on what you talk about, but, please go ahead.

Nice torp beats through a double tight Mino spread. But Colbert is just too squishy to engage a Mino at close ranges. Yeah, should have used HE at that angle for the first salvo. Also making use of a liberated enemy smoke is one of the greatest joys in my opinion. 20221003_150157_PFSC510-Colbert_51_Greece.wowsreplay

How strong is Des Moines now

Question: As Thunderer has the legendary rudder shift of the Conq built in (without the disadvantage of losing conceal) and Shiki also has the legendary Yamato accuracy... does the Salem have the legendary "Leg" mod for acceleration built in?

Have or have you not watched the attached replay? Anyone who enjoyed this would also enjoy playing the deer in deer hunter. Masturbating with a cheese grater is more fun!

Will you please just watch the replay I posted two games ago? No, they were not what I would consider competent. They still owned the whole flank. I see you and raise you a Tiger '59
  10. I just needed my birthday missions done and I also wanted the 750k. The only tier 8 DDs I still have in the harbour are the Yueyang line one and the Asashio. Go figure. I won both brawls, btw.

    Unique commander choice

Nobody needs 400 ships he can't play - you only need one (or two, when you go to port early) that is fun and you're good with. Unfortunately one has to try quite a few to find those who just click and work like a charm. But then you would want to improve on that ship and that is what the unique commanders are for. So, I would never do that. Yes, commanders are expensive for what they do, but as usual, the cost for added bonuses is exponential. By now I have them all, the only one I regret is Lutjens, because I don't play much german ships. Also, get Halsey and Yamamoto - if you don't know, you can redo missions for the required stars if you don't know how to make it through and there are always some easy if a bit grindy missions - you just don't get the attached gift box.

Competent subs don't ceaselessly ping. The ping mechanic is to make the enemy waste his DCP so your teammates can stack permafires, and maybe even to guide torps that would otherwise miss. Also they don't face toward the enemy they ping, but move in a 90° angle, so the depth charges thrown at the marker on the surface won't hit. And if they are smart, they don't ping twice right after another when the enemy is looking for it. There is even need to ping anyone or even shoot torps - just by spotting they can make the DDs life hell and there is literally zero he can do, but run away. If you ping, you can accidentaly get hit or he might even charge you. If you torp, make sure you're gone when he comes looking, but most of the time it's probably easier if you simple wait until he ceases to be. Nobody disagrees. They're to play and to play against.

    Belfast coming back..... In AUCTION?!

A fool and his money... But yeah, it's just premium time. On the other hand, if you have six years of premium time remaining and the dire sense that you won't use them, it's probably a bargain to them, because you can't return it. It's wasted either way, so to say. I only buy premium at christmass for about a year. Half a year this time, that will be sufficient.

Average Xp gain and Credit farming

use deepl.com Do not get the Vermont line, that's for later if you know what you are doing, because with that speed you can't escape mispositioning and they are quite squishy. The danger here is that you do the easiest thing, that is staying on the J line and being ineffectual. In my opinion, do start with the Montana line, just suffer through the Craporado. Iowa is quite ok, you learn to bow tank here and while Monty has been gimmick and powercrept a bit, it still has a hefty broadside and is quite tanky. Learn to shoot priority targets, DDs, even at 14km, radar cruisers, especially if broadside, and so on.

Will you please just watch the replay I posted? Subs don't need Krakens, they simpy spot everyone to death! Who gets to kill the DD is irrelevant.

    Unique commander choice

Well, Kutsnetsov did indeed require a nerf, basically since introduced. And he's still strong, because he keeps removing ALL debuffs, that alone continues to be OP.
  17. Karkong_the_Impaler

    Unique commander choice

The question is the wrong way around - what ship do you enjoy? And then you can ask if the appropriate unique commander worth it. And the answer here is basically that unique commanders are always worth it, some more, some less, if you're not starved for coal.

Got her, too, a few months ago - the single most accurate ship in the entire game, a good trainer on how to aim with the Minotaur. Unfortunately the damage output is still positively anemic - but I like her a lot. I don't play much tier 8 though.

Will you look at that ? Fun and engaging. Now imagine competent submarine players who go sideways while pinging... Can anyone explain what I could have done better? What is the expected gameplay here? 87738022_funandengaging20221003_145052_PFSC510-Colbert_20_NE_two_brothers.wowsreplay

    Huron seems to be Lackluster

Yes, but at the same time only finding fun in retracted ships (because they were/are OP) is... a bit sad, in my opinion.

    Huron seems to be Lackluster

Well, on average I'm about 10% better in a Druid than in any other DD but maybe Yue, you don't hunt DDs - there is no sports involved, you just murder them. Which is fantastic fun all by itself. Then add some cruisers into the mix, you start to citadel Minos at 10km, Desmos at about 6km. My favourite trick is to stick 100% of your firepower out from behind a cliff and just farm anything in range. Or just go enough around the island, that you can shoot the tip of the bow section every 1,5 seconds, then go back and forth with the enemy, just be wary if he pushes right away when he notices what you do. Concerning Colbert, I tried but dropped range mod - the ballistics become atrocious and three second base reload is more enjoyable. The range is okish and not being spotted due to short range has it's own unique advantages. Fortunately I didn't posess the Colbert pre skill rework, playing ships that have been nerfed reminds you of their former glory (even if OP). That's one of the reasons I don't play much Smolensk anymore - and I played it a lot. But again, I'm not trying to sell you these ships. All I am saying is that the most fun ships (ok - fun to me) available aren't hidden behind a dubloon pay wall, you can easily farm RB or steel and I actually like that.

Not going to recommend Druid, it's, let's call it, special interest. And I'm more than happy that most people think like you, I see it too often anyway. But it's just so much fun. Smolensk got hit quite hard by the commander skill rework in my opinion, but yes, it's still strong. But, again, we were discussing fun and here Smolensk doesn't compete - it's not even another league, it's a different game. Let's agree to disagree, this is a matter of opinion. If you don't even posess these ships, I feel that I can't make you like them anyway - and I'm actually not really trying to, I rather play something rather obscure. But you can trust me that I really don't miss any retracted ships, apart maybe from the Smalland - and I have the relevant rest.

Way, way way more fun. Nothing compares to the emotional damage you deal with that golden shower of love in a suborbital curve over every mountain. Druid doesn't compare at all to any other DD, especially not to the Forrest Dump - there are worlds between these two. I assume you don't have the Druid? Or why would you write such.. questionable content? Edit: Also, we were talking about fun, not effectivitiy. And Druid is fun! Also, at least I am quite effective with it.
