They thought about it but it was rejected, god knows why. It's probably the guy higher up who is enjoying his favourite class, throwing a wrench in the gears of those who want to remove the rollator walker. We know. Eveyone knows. There is just a bug in the spreadshit WG uses to determine balance. That and someone higher up likes to play them, so this is by design. Just look at the the 100000 post trash heap thread: Please note that this is not the first of these...

It's called a skill tax. If you supplant a supershit for skill, you have to pay extra. This is by design. The real question is - why would anyone play a supershit brawl where his enemy also features a supershit? The goal to find someone you can crap on doesn't work in this setting, the extra expense because of lack of skill instantly becomes neutered.

That is where the aim + keep LMB down and RMB to freelook techniques are very useful.

Also the shotgun style dispersion helps with hitting stuff when your aim sucks. But honestly Ägir, is extremely skill dependant and certainly not everyone has it. The skill required is to understand that you don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

@Seraphice @YabbaCoe Care to comment on this? This would be some kind of PR desaster for a normal company. So, after over 200 votes have been cast - let's remove some extremes, say 2 from the WG fanbois and, say, 20 from the WG haters - because we're apparently stuck in our filter bubble, incapable of not disliking CVs, supershits and submersible scum and look at the results...

Now that's interesting - what do you use to determine the ships power level? Also, having an OP ship that isn't popular would suit me just fine.

True enough, but if you check the ships for games played and temper that with the date they were introduced, you can easily see that Gibraltar isn't really well received of those available. I love it though. But it's a harsh kick in the nethers when you spend 60k RB points just to find out you loathe the thing.

I trust they simply paid some shady company for positive reviews and they are that unsophisticated. On the other hand, one can argue paying unsophisticated people to do this is also unsophisticated....

I personally find the unique ships to be the most fun - RB ships usually take one trait and take it to the extreme. Apart from the Yolo Emilio, which I like but suck abysmally with it, all of the RB ships I posess (Slava, Druid, Colbert, Gibraltar) are fun or in the case of Slava at least a very good trainer for learning to snipe - because if you try that with a Kurfurst and german dispershun, you never know if it's you or the RNG. But the skill floor of the ships is rather high and due to their nature, they simply don't click with everyone - just see the neighboring discussion:

Ok, again: Any time I zoom out in this short clip, I used RMB "freelook" and not the mousewheel. Also, during the whole match you see me zoomed in most of the time - as opposed to half a year ago, when I would ocassionally set the aim point and then freelook, just because of that bug which basically changes how I have to play the ship. But I'm going to play some more Druid and post the replays here for you when the "reset your controls" doesn't work. Turning out with the Druid rarely works for me, due to the gun angles, mainly. Here I tried to keep inertia to be able to maneuver, and also because the secondaries hit you when you stop or go backwards and at 500hp... I took some time to realize the BB wasn't even aiming at me - and basically, I saw my chance in the smoke/heal timer.

Yeah, that's the issue, it doesn't trigger. And when you look far away, it looses it's target, that's what I incidentally thought happened here.

Maybe take a look at the solo win rates of the best players. It's an eye opener. Also, approximately no one is playing it because of it. These are two valid reasons for a buff in my opinion.

Any zooming out is done with RMB freelook, Zooming in is done with releasing the RMB. It didn't stay locked. That is exactly the bug I am talking about, the freelook RMB not working. I didn't look away far - and this happens mostly when you try to free look far away and because of the earlier incident, I didn't dare. That is what makes it annoying! It started a few patches ago, I think when the camera was changed. That's why I stopped playing Druid, waiting for the bug to get patched, you're quite often very close to your target but need to look around far while your target deceases. Not going to excuse my potato play, I was looking for the smoke and heal timer trying to not get shot by the secondaries. Yeah, I could have watched the minimap there. Should have. If I ever get that right.... No mods btw since aslain requires a torrent client. Depends - the Halland got pummeled earlier and I've devstruck Hallands with the Druid. And I should have died against the nevsky, too. TBH I was expecting more backup by the Slava and the Anchorage but they rather went duck hunting...

Yeah, now it's entirely If you really, really insist, get the Sevastopol, that one at least has fun gimmicks.

These are crap port queens with little to no entertainment value, they are worth nothing. Feel free to disagree if the ship or the gameplay style just clicks with you - but just for having? That's dangerously close to the "collector" mindset, the truly philatelist who didn't realize digital goods are gone when the server is shut down and selling rare ships for a cashout isn't possible. I know one, 500 ships and he can't competently play a single one of them. If you don't know what else to do with your billions of free exp, sure, go for it, that's also worthless if there is nothing left to buy with it.
