  1. Because there will be that one guy.
  2. Ok, as a WoT player and a WoWs noob, I'll answer to your post in noob terms, which I think will be satisfactory for you as well 1- there is no crew, just captains - like having only commander in WoT. With differencies, of course, as the skill system is different and all that jazz. 2-no shared goldz coming soon. Only premium time. 3-I wouldn't know much personally, but from what I've gathered, high tier destroyers aren't exactly viable - and it remains to be seen what will russian destroyers bring to the table. Vice versa applies, low tier destroyers are viable as fu-k If you don't want light tanks, then I would suggest not to play destroyers. They are similar (of course, translated to WoWs approach and gameplay) in majority of aspects, even the possibility of active and passive play. It goes for every class, so if you want your E-100, you would go for the battleship line etc. 4-the long post above explained why wg is reluctant (or they simply don't know how) regarding implementation of armor value info. mod: -aslain's pack, again, like in wot youtuber: https://www.youtube.com/user/ichasegaming https://www.youtube.com/user/MrNotser https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLOQoJ6G4D04d05fxjfPHPQ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCadtejKG_n6EDoMuxEzZMug https://www.youtube.com/user/PhlyDaily https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA9trTDVrYkG9N34g9nGDUg https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn7CbReyqsAp4vaZa7Ut-IA https://www.youtube.com/user/DezGamez
  3. It's not about representation, it's about how much it's being "sensitive" on a sensitivity scale or whatever we should call it Also, some of those are illegal, I believe swastika is illegal in many european countries. I would assume germany, for example. So, germans couldn't import/buy/play the game unless somehow patched if there was sieg heils and swastikas around, which is why there aren't any in WoT either. As for country-based patching, I would say it's simply too meticulous and you will always get that one sjw guy who will complain regardless of whether it's allowed in his country or not. And also, if it was for something as vague as "symbol of imperialism", USN ships would have to sail without a flag whatsoever

While I agree on the fallacious preemptive dismissal of criticism which has nothing to do with the criticism itself, the "don't like don't watch/eat/listen/etc" has its place - for example, when someone is not merely criticizing but advocating an action against a person/channel/source whereas that person/channel/source hasn't done anything that warrants any kind of active approach but is merely not to critic's liking. Not applicable in this case, though, I think there weren't any comments about shutting down Jingles' channel or anything.

While we are at it, due to the severe nerve inflammation blahblah, I can't play more than a couple games a day, which basically translates to watching a lot of youtube. And while ichase is highly educational, Aerroon is there if you want cv tips and snarky comment, there are several more, Preditor, Notser, Phly and so on and so forth... But, if I was to speak about pure skill, as in, raw quality, I think I've never seen a guy who shoots better than Wastingsometimegaming (I think that's the exact name of the channel). All the guys above are very good players, but this dude leads his shots like it's literally nothing. Too bad he doesn't do educational content, he just posts battles.

    No credit discounts in Wows

I wouldn't expect any significant discounts for at least several months, or more. Though this is a generalized observation of game companies, so WG might go for a different approach.

I see nothing remarkable though, people are simply chatting and none of the initial venom remained, so I don't see the need for a post like that. Or it's only nuclear physics and Nietzche's work discussion allowed here?
  8. I'd say that's a very good game, what is your point? I mean, I am not being a douche, I am honestly asking (in the case I am missing something, you simply put a screenshot without a written followup, maybe I don't know what exactly to look at). A good game yielded you good earnings. But the question remains, if you did a comparably good game in a non-prem ship, how different would the earnings be? Kongou, Omaha or something like that... Judging from peoples' input, not that much.
  9. That is true, but that is also a given. I mean, this topic explores the economical viability of those ships.
  10. I agree, especially when that someone constantly depicts everything about the ship in a good light and, aaand - he is trying to buff the ship deemed very powerful if not overpowered by the players in general and is famous for not getting citadel'd. A premium ship, designed to print money, not to perform magnificently (and yet, it seems that she does perform quite well, judging from player feedback). In an arcade 1st/3rd person shooter MULTIPLAYER game. Dude, you travel 70km in a 20 minutes battle in that Tirpitz in WoWs and you are writing walls of texts about historians' accounts of gun accuracy and even delve into discussions about RADARS. I guess it's good you aren't into martial arts, I think an encounter with Street Fighter 4 would scar you for life.

An opinion piece/review on Japanese Battleships

Wiki IS accurate. It doesn't state that you detect ships earlier. It says MAXIMUM ACQUISITION RANGE.
  12. What are the exact multipliers and benefits, though? I think it's a given that you give that kind of info when an item like this is in question. Imagine that a premium time description would be something like "premium time is cool".

I find that highly interesting. Really, I am. His whole disposition, videos and channel atmosphere would make me think otherwise.

I don't think what would declaring our ages would do here, for that we would need a specimen of like 100 000 people who watch Jingles. I never understood that. "Ninja turtles movie is aimed at teens" - "but I am 45 and I like it". That's irrelevant. Something that is directed at some demographics isn't automatically banned from watching by other demographics lol. That said, if I would have to guess, I would say that his channel is viewed mostly by 15-25 crowd, as they are often mesmerized when someone older than them is edgy and doesn't give a fu-k, more so than older folks, who usually don't care about those traits, but watch something out of other reasons. (inb4 "I am 95 and I am mesmerized when someone is edgy")

He kinda does sound like he has at least seven potatoes in his throat and a big cold It never bothered me, though. As for battleship players, I wouldn't know Jingles' side, as I don't watch him anymore, but generally, I don't see them being any worse or better at predicting torpedoes, I just think that you are more likely to avoid spotted torpedoes in a cruiser or destroyer (and the fact that you wiggle around in those classes for all the other reason) - in the end, I think the very notion of a "bb player" is a bit flawed in its generalization, as I would assume that majority of players simply play a bit of everything. It's the same as in WoT, while I am sure there are some dedicated class xyz players, it was rather the case of everyone on the forums whining about "xyz tank drivers" and yet, out of dozens and dozens of players that I got to know, exactly ONE could maybe fit the description (~2000 battles in ELC out of ~5000 battles total, rest 3000 were mixed, so you could call him a "light tank driver"). @RAMJB: The feeling I have (which is a gut-driven wild guess at best) is that he made the mistake of STOPPING to distance from all the buzz as he got "bigger" and not the other way around. At least I think his newer videos are negative and bitter on some personal level. @inabag: Oh, I think quickybaby oozes insincerity in every way possible - and I am not talking about his youtube persona, it's a given that it would be, well, a persona. I find him highly informative, but somehow I wouldn't trust him if I met him, to put it that way. Might just be that he reminds me of some people who are like that That said, I liked watching him over the other WoT youtubers, as I liked his professionalism - as much as I think he would ask me for 200 euros and give me the false phone number I always found other WoT youtubers/streamers "too laid back in a douchy kind of way", if you know what I'm aiming at A lot of belittling of other players, sitting in your wifebeater shirt and being your typical internet cafe bro, moaning about every single hit, miss, rng, mm and whatnot. It's something very particularly connected to europeans and f2p titles, I would say

    Tired of Deck-Whiners

While I am far from expert, why would only "direct team support" count? Are we children, not capable of analyzing contributions? I mean, if he does a good job (if his w/r is 63%, I guess he does) and you win at the end, wasn't he contributing to the team? You know, by killing and damaging members of other team to the point at which your team won? I was playing Fuso yesterday. A dude dies and starts your standard caps lock moaning in chat. We were down like 5 ships and they were down maybe one or zero. Their destroyers went for our carriers and killed them. I went there, failed to save carriers in time (as it wasn't exactly my job to chase dd's and it's not a very fast ship either and I was on the other side of the map), but at the same time, killed two or three destroyers and finished off a couple of 1/3hp cruisers with some citadels (as they were advancing quite recklessly because at this point they had two carriers and we had zero). In the end, we won, I did a very good job (I am not a good player mechanically, but I tend to know what to do - question is whether I can pull it off - in this case I did). And still, the dude in chat was spamming the whole time, called me kill stealer, called me selfish (?) because "I went back to pick off softened targets" etc. So, there you have it, securing kills with citadel salvos on damaged targets is kill stealing apparently and I am selfish because I got back in an effort to save the carriers. Point of this boring story is that I actually played SOLELY for the team in that battle, with all the "kill stealing" and "exploit target selection" (that's an actual quote) and yet, somehow, someone interpreted it as me picking off kills and inflating stats or whatever. So, really, why does the contribution and teamplay must be direct? If he does billions of damage to the other team in his carrier, would you say he didn't play his part team-wise? That's ridiculous, to say the least. Should he type in chat "I, carrier-paladin am now bestowing you the help of my faithful fighter planes" every time he launches his fighters, as an addition to having fighter setup also?

Maybe you're right, then again, in that case, I would expect it to be just a short power creep. It's hard to actually practice one's "zen" and patience, but today's online games are "maturing" in matter of like half a decade (meaning that a "released" online mp f2p title has nothing to do with released monkey islad title, finishing-wise), so I won't be "mad" if they were overpowered or underpowered, as long as the game goes steadily towards, well, something (which I am not sure of, but we'll see, I guess). Of course, all that "maturing" might cause the game to flop and player base to diminish, but that's something I don't think we can predict relatively soon. I mean, look at HotS for example, no one has any idea what will happen to that game in like two years. That said, I think that IF wows survives for 2-3 years, then it's "secured" and we'll have another wot/wow/dota... which means wg will pump money in it. Now it's a bit different story, if you have a dev team and you pay them a million a year and your game earns you 1.1 million a year, you won't touch it, as it's free steady income. But if your game starts to earn 3 million a year, you'll invest like mad because you'll see that with proper investment and a dev team that costs 5 million, you could earn 50 million a year, for example. Now, we are in that 1.2 million phase, I guess we'll see what happens eventually I don't know why I meandered like this, but meh, doesn't hurt anybody

No, it won't, but I was just commenting in general, not necessarily interacting with the thread starter. As for the rest, I honestly think that's only one side of a story. As in, yes, sheepish followers will inflate your ego, but on the other side, it's bilateral. If your ego isn't "inflatable in a bad way", it won't end up like that. I am not saying that your ego won't inflate, but that you will be able either to control it better or that even your inflated ego might end up charismatic instead. Jingles' ego was always pretty big ("if you don't like my figma saber you can fk off, it's my chaneru") and he was always "edgy" and sarcastic, so I don't necessarily see this change as a matter of the inflated ego. Maybe, but not necessarily. I would describe it as a general negative sentiment towards his audience, more than him being full of himself - but naturally, it's just my possibly flawed observation.

Now you're just trolling It's an established rhetoric when introducing new things in an asymmetrical multiplayer game. A tank in some moba or whatever will surely be introduced as "powerful melee warrior who doesn't shy from a good brawl" or something, while an agile ninja-like character would be introduced as "lurking in shadows, this master assassin will quickly dispatch enemies with illusion and speed" etc. Does that mean they trump each other or that devs think one of them is crap? Or that players should take it as that? I like how people automatically get emotional over perfectly logical game advertising, instead of interpreting "cowering in the back is not really their thing" along the lines of "they have poor long range battle capabilities, but they are good when in your face" and take that as a mechanical information, rather than a sentiment-inducing declaration.

For me, personally, the quality of his videos, regardless of the topic, dropped significantly in the last year or so. The main reason being the notion that he slowly but surely turns his pokey but funny and easygoing persona into a grunty and "f--k off" kinda youtuber. Now, people might say he was always like that, but that's not true, there is a subtle but key difference in how he tackles videos, comments, audience etc. He was always sarcastic and had that "teen angsty independence" thing going on, but the difference now and before is that now it's on a negative side, whereas before it was positive (by that I mean, I enjoyed when he went on his angsty "you don't tell me what to do" sprees, as they were fun and positive, even though the premise might have been negative. It was just a lighthearted time spent with a video). So, even if you, as a group or as a person, in a comment section or in some replay or even if some lifestyle or whatever is being s--tted on by "old Jingles", you would chuckle along and look forward to the next video, there was no way a normal person could be actively irritated or annoyed or negatively moved whatsoever. But now when I see his content (which I do rarely, for the reasons mentioned), I only get a lot of negative energy and, well, I won't say "hate" as it's too strong of a sentiment, but definitely some kind of frustration. And it's not enjoyable, even when he laughs, I don't find myself laughing with him innocently but rather feeling as if his laugh is coming from a place of frustration or that he missed the point. I mean, the laugh is just an example, replace "laugh" with "content", "commentary" or even "montage". I have a feeling he is being negative towards his viewer base and potential viewer base and not in a funny, entertainment, sarcastic kinda way, but "fo real".

Option to Invert Mouse Y Axis, Please

It's exactly the same with WoT, quake, CoD or any other 1st or 3rd person game, aiming gui is 2d. Also, that effect of "gliding" you are mentioning is purely an illusion, you aren't "moving on the water", it just looks that way because of the small FoV when zoomed in and the fact that you are locked height-wise in the zoomed mode. That said, there are games where you actually do "glide" on the terain - AND those games HAVE the option to invert Y axis, too. So, even if it was the case here, it would hold no argument whatsoever. Ironically, Duke Nukem had it inverted and, for many, that's the cause why they play with the inverted Y axis

    The Myogi to Kongo

Ok, I am an utter noob (I got a couple tier 5's and that's it), but I don't see what's wrong with myogi? I am certain my lack of perception regarding that has to do something with it, but still, reading this, I would expect some kind of horrible milestone which makes one go to fetal position after one battle and stay like that for weeks I just finished with myogi and I'm about to buy myself a kongou - judging from this topic, I'll be mesmerized I mean, my reaction to myogi had literally zero negative aspects to it, I simply didn't see any glaring faults. I did enjoy the abnormal range though and the satisfaction if your shells land after five days watching them fly through the air So, for me, myogi was completely ok, with an added bonus of awesome range.
