When you go to McDonalds, do you whinge about their prices being higher than at the restaurant in Bangkok? Do you complain there's no noodle-burger on the menu? Different markets get different treatments. Learn to live with it, [edited]

You people crack me up. The rights you people love to quote don't exist in this setting. There are consumer rights as established by your local jurisdiction and there are the rights accorded you by the EULA which you accept when you sign up and periodically when there are patches to the game. I dare you to find a paragraph detailing your right to fair and equal treatment with other markets in either. Since you can't, I suggest you move on from such inane arguments.

So you say, yet they're still swimming in their ill gotten dubloons. I'm willing to wager that as long as they keep improving the game and putting out content, people will keep playing and keep paying.

Wow. You guys. It's a fun game. It's a fun event. My biggest complaint about it is that I feel they should've added more tiers. 250 pearls and then you don't really have an incentive to keep chasing them. Maybe say 500 or 1000 pearls gives you an extra "ticket" to the lottery, or a guaranteed win. IDK. One ticket per 50 pearls above 250? Something to keep you chasing. But really... The whining is a bit much. Am I thrilled that we're getting a less generous hand out in the event than the other server? Not particularly. But I'm not paying for the event, I'm paying for the game. The event is a happy and fun bonus.

I could, come to think on it, also live with 4.5km range if the launch angle was drastically increased. As is, the torpedos are only usable in an extremely limited range of scenarios because the ships doesn't turn quickly enough to launch and all you're doing while turning is exposing your gigantic side and giving the opponent time for some nice citadel hits.
-
Small tweaks would be nice. A bit better rudder. A fix for the incorrect torpedos. A bit faster accelleration. A bit more HP. I don't think these requests are beyond the reasonable.

Kept it. I think it's the case at least from WoT that if you already have a premium ship that you later get from an event you get gold instead. One can always hope.

There are two reasons for why Atlanta is focused before anything else: 1. When properly captained, Atlanta is death on a stick. 2. When not properly captains, Atlanta dies to a strong side wind. Atlanta is fun, but certainly requires very specific gameplay.
-
Atlanta could do with some buffs. My favourite option would be better rudder. It moves way too sluggishly. Secondary would be more range on the torpedos, and/or smoke dispenser. More HP would also be welcome. It just needs SOMETHING.

This. Fubuki does slightly more damage per shell, but more to the point, better trajectories means better chance to hit. Having both rear turrets able to fire on a chasing target while running away also means the pursuer has to wiggle more in order to make up for its 2 frontal tubes vs the Fubuki's rear 4 meaning it makes a better target and slows down enough for Fubuki to get out of range. In addition, I find that the lower reload time is actually a psychological assist in that it's just long enough for you to take stock of what's going on and aim, before you need to fire again. The opportunity to keep shooting often causes wall eye vision at least for me, in Benson. Granted, my Benson is still stock so the comparison isn't really fair yet, but so far I'm doing way better in Fubuki and I feel like it's the more efficient boat.

I love being accused of hacking. It means I'm doing something very right.

All flaws aside, I love playing Atlanta. I had a rocky start but have since managed to wrestle my way to a 51% WR which I am relatively content with. You need to play to its strengths. Granted, I wouldn't particularly mind a torpedo and/or rudder buff, since the terrible angle of the torpedos means that even the few times you do get a chance to get close enough to use them you have to spend VERY vital seconds presenting your looong side to the opponent. It's VERY rare that I've been in a position to actually use the torpedos as anything but an after thought in about 250 games with it. An alternative would be to drastically increase the angle of the launchers. That might actually make them useful in a fight.

Were you cheating? Come on. You're among friends here. You can tell us.

Too many times I've seen a win turn to a loss because some idiot preferred kills over cap. This is not WoT. You cap when you can. Period. The addition of the domination mode to standard games was great, because draws suck [edited].
-
That's very harsh. I like it.

I only fire from 2nd line if I can absolutely positively know that no one can intersect the torpedos. That should be the general rule. The most annoying [edited]is when CAs with their 6km range torpedos fire at targets 20km away. I mean I can see you firing at 8-10km because there are sometimes situations where relative velocity will bring them into engagement range but at 20km? People are stupid.
-
As long as I have a better than 50% chance of winning any given engagement, I'm fine with it.

We lack sufficient information to say whether they were justified in calling you out. All we know is that you lost, and that you had a chance to change that but didn't take it. I love the description on DD vs DD combat btw. It's that attitude that allows me to go in guns blazing almost no matter the opposition since a plurality of DD captains are too passive with their guns to win and I usually win even IJN vs USN battles. The only DDs I think twice about taking head on are soviets because their skippers have been forced to understand the value of the guns.

Hah. Offshore accounts.

In theory. It would be fun to test who'd come out ahead in a battle between a pure DD and pure BB fleet..

"Ignorance" is not a slur. There's amazing amounts of ignorance displayed in the game in the form of very poor decision making resulting in bad outcomes which can only really be attributed to ignorance much of the time. All else being equal, it's typically more useful to have a BB on your side than a CA. In a stand up fight on say Ocean the BB will win a one-on-one vs the CA nearly every time unless it's got a trash player. That said, I find playing CA fun because of the maneuver options available to the CA which are rarely available to the BB. The real problem is not, I think, in the gameplay as such but rather in the MM. The people playing CA should never have their team penalized by having fewer or lower tier BB since a Myoko or Atlanta will not make up for having a New York or New Mexico vs a Nagato. As long as both teams are getting the same weight in BB the difference between CA and DD aren't close to as important.
-
Obvious solution is to make rank 11 the irrevocable one since it at least forces them to get back to rank 10 every time they want to use this exploit which makes it far more painful.
-
There's no point in taking anything out on Ocean that isn't a BB with railguns. You're ridiculously outgunned in Atlanta against tier 8 ships as it is, but it's still possible to pull off something interesting on a map with islands. On Ocean which seems to be 2/3 in the rotation right now it's completely impossible to do anything useful. Call it what it is. Rather than "Ranked" you can call it "Special game mode for BB and IJN CA". The ratio of BB to CA in the queue is typically 4-1 or worse. So maybe you could encourage CA players to take their CA out? But no. Let's play Ocean. All day. Every day. [edited]this crap.

It's been so long since I tried it. I didn't want to over-play my gushing.

There's not enough difference between tiers to warrant that kind of trash talk IMO. Frankly, I suspect Minekaze would be the ultimate ranked DD. Nearly invisible, quick reload, relatively agile. Edit: That is to say, as a tool against BBs and capping. In DD vs DD obviously higher tier is generally preferrable.
