    Except it makes no sense to spam depth charges... things that should DM and Wooster, in fact all cruisers, have. You cant spam them but diving under a CA with "lolol you cant hit me but let me use my aft torp tubes on you" is unfair and just creates the feeling of helplessness (suprisingly you didnt answer to that at all... i wonder why... ) As it stands now, most of the campy BBs get AirASW (AASW) while the brawlers get none. Does this make any sense to you? Well, not to me. It just punishes pushes or even moving forward even more (focus by CV, HE-Spam... everything). Except that radar doesnt kill you and you can bait it and it doesnt do dmg per se. Also ASW has way less range, you must be literally over the sub. Yea, because its such fun in Dreadnought vs Hosho. Also it makes literally no sense to compare a passive defensive measure like AA with active offensive AASW. Since the latter needs some skill while the other is... well... Nope. See above Dreadnought vs Hosho. How so? You still can spam ping out of detect range (which is "fine") without any risk. Really? In my grind to Gold I havent seen ONE case where a Sub was killed by a single press on the "G-button". Dont get me wrong, I dont think subs are OP... in fact I think they are pretty lackluster. But there are aspects to them that are horrendous. Like having no ASW on a lot of ships. Like being spotted for the whole team while sub is on op. depth. To name the most pressing ones, now that arming distance gets fixed.

    Nah, its not useless, if its low dmg.. The issue is most players (me included) just hate being helpless. We already know that from CVs. So allowing every ship, yes RU CAs, too to have at least some token ASW to scare subs is a necessity. Which one? Were talking about T10.

    And now lets assume that the sub is running away from you: 1. You have to overtake the sub to drop ASW, which results in 3,5km distance if not more. 2. Sub speed is 28kts Paolo speed is 47(?)kts which results in a relative speed (in which you have to master the 3,5km) of 21kts (?). Thats slower then most T4 Dreadnoughts. Sadly (due to scaling) I cant actually do the math how long this would take...

    No, if sub is at op. depth (thats the one below periscope-depth) the DD gets spotted (for all teammates!) at its Air-detectability. For Paolo its 3,5-ish km IIRC.

    If you give all ships ASW, ASW will be nerfed on all ships in return to make it not broken op. The result is, that a single ship won't be able to sink a SS, but needs the help of others. And thats just wrong like blobbing up for protection from CVs. I do think you can nerf ASW on BBs but NO WAY IN HELL should there be any ship without ASW. #justwait lol is just retarded btw. Pls name ONE DD that is effective vs Subs without risking the ship.

    Not sure if thats enough to help, we´ll see. Personally all Subs feel like Petro: I HATE playing Petro and I HATE playing vs Petro (thats Petro balancing 1o1). They are just lame campy ships.... that burden DDs even more.

    Not to mention that its completely laughable that sub-torps have no minimum arming distance, allowing them to point blank DDs. Letting ships have no ASW is completly BS, too. #justwaitforsurface lol. Teamspotting at operational depth must go. Trying to kill a sub in a DD is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more dangerous then dropping a few bombs form planes in a BB.

    Tnx for the info. As expected there is nothing much left how you could buff Tashkent to not completly drift it to space magic. Personally i think that would be a nice T10 Tashkent with those buffs. But what do you want to do with Khaba? Having two slightly different Tashkent-Models in the TT would be rather lackluster. I guess thats why it was never implemented. Still, I would rather be with Tashkent in a T10 Match then with Khaba.

    Your Point? Apparently. Yea, they can deal with being spotted. Except for FR/RU DDs cant. see above. At least the BB can shoot him when the DD is spotted.

    Keep on Topic. Were just talking sub vs DD. 6kts (let it be 10kts) relative speed is laughable slow given that you have to overtake the sub while having to close a gap from 2-4 km. I guess you need about a minute for such a manouver and all while you are hardspotted by the sub. And thats where your comparison to DD vs. BB/CA/CL breaks down: Since the latter have the HP and armor to take the shots and tank. DDs havent.

    Pretty slow? Balao goes 28kts (dont know if surfaced or submerged since neither wiki doesnt show, nor does TT if you dont have them) Vampire II in my case 34kts. So a relative speed 6 kts WAOWWWW!!! Except that DDs cant go dark and invulnerable ad libendum.
