  3. You are a gunboat, you shoot things. Use your guns. Use AFT. Shoot ALWAYS. Dont use your smoke to shoot, its for "getting out of jail free". Learn to dodge shells. Any salvo that you dodge isnt going into the broadside-idiot next to you. Dont be to eager to rush into caps: Kill first - cap later should be your mantra. Load russian hardbass into your music list before entering a battle.
  4. This. @YabbaCoe Please forward to your comrades at WG that they should share the data. Please proof "us" the "vocal minority" wrong. Show us the Data that subs are wanted in the game. I would scratch my head (hard) but accept it. But given your answers it doesnt matter anyway, right? Since subs will stay if liked or not by the "silent majority".

    My little review of the patch so far: - Graphic update: This is epic. Well done! - Tulsa: Great! Wasnt hyped/happy about a ship since Paolo E. - Gibraltar: After watching some vids about it, it seems lackluster. Also I thought Sealclub-bureau is for "freak-ships"? Gibraltar seems to be none. - RU-CV: More Cancer. Not needed. - Arms Race: I love this mode, but somehow the PPL playing it are even more braindead then in Randoms. Havent seen so many badly positioned Ships in a long time. - Subs: I have to force myself to play them... sometime. Seems like Im not the only one, since I havent seen subs for quite some battles (maybe I dodged the tiers well?) -Super Ships: Cant test them. 500BXP in Coop is for a coop-noob like me pretty much not doable and tbh. Coop isnt worth my time. Why didnt you make that mission for all Modes but only enable Supis for Coop?

  7. You are right and wrong. 500 PPL would suffice as a sample size for about 10k PPL with a 5% variance. Yet these 500 could be the "vocal minority". So in fairness: Could you release some data of your own survey? Especially the result of the "Do you think, subs are ready for Random?" question.

    Thats why I instantly got myself the Tulsa. Love it! Its Baby-Dessi! Just without having to endure all the BS that T10 matches have to deal with: CVs, Subs, Neanderthals with Atom-Bombs.

    Well, "in theory" during a ram both ships deal their full HP as DMG to the other. If we forget ramming-flags for a moment, ramming a sub with any ship of any other class should destroy the sub. If the other ship survives depends on its HP left at that moment. But ramming-mechanics are still wonky.... I remember getting rammed by a JB in my Dessi... I survived... he didnt...

    My take on subs would be: 1. Buff surface speed to 33kts average, reduce submerged speed to 18kts average. 2. Reduce dive time to max 3 minutes, massively reduce reload of dive-cap while surfaced with a delay. 3. Increase the time till sub changed depth about 50% 4. Buff conceal to about 5km average 6. ReduceTorp-range to 10km max. 7. Get rid of ping, buff DMG of Torps, introduce pattern-search-torps (Zigzag/Spiral) and acoustic torps (only home at the stern if ship speed is faster then 1/4) 8. Remove "operational depth" only surfaced => Periscope => "deep"

    Es gibt in der Tat "heatmaps" leider kann ich den Link nicht mehr finden. Die waren sogar nach Klasse und Können aufgeteilt. Tatsächlich fahren viele Spieler immer die gleichen Wege ab... ein paar Torps da hinschmeißen hat nie geschadet. Aber dafür müsste man ja an Statistik glauben....

    I know what you are getting at, but a speedbuff doesnt magically change the handling of a Vermont into the one of a Marceau. And given that the starting buffs are "safe" the field is (in best case) leveled pretty much until the cap appears. IIRC the heal was changed into "just a heal" no "regeneration" anymore. As a seperate mode it would just get boring in a short time. But having it in about 5% of the randos would "spice them up" imo.

    I personally gave it a chance, and a second chance, and a third chance, and I still think its BS and too arcade even for an arcade game its basically only lacking a slot to put the coins in at the side IIRC the last time we had armsrace was in a Clanbrawl at T8 (?) To be honest, we had a blast playing that. Actually there are imo more tactics involved then in CTB or Epicancer mode. I really dont get the "arcade" argument.... bcs of the "unrealistic" buffs? Bcs it chages the stats of ships? Given that hilarities like Conkek heal exist, I dont get it.

    A build centered around the marked skill (10% faster reload when opponent in your base detection range) Since your detection range is very high (about 17km in my case) the buff is permanently active when I shoot someone. Note you dont have to be actually visible/detected (island cover) to activate the skill. Since you "shine" across the whole map its called "lighthouse - build"

  24. Interessant. Warum ist (beschreibende) Statistik eine Wissenschaft? Wieso verlässt man sich auf so einen Quatsch wie "Signifikanz-Tests" o.Ä. ?
  25. Du hast seine Frage nicht beantwortet. Warum gibt es Spieler mit über 10k SOLO-Gefechten die eine WR von >50% haben? Ein Kumpel liest gerade mit und würde das auch gerne wissen....
