    if my ally throws himself in front of my torpedoes i dont care. Yes i will fire my torps knowingly close to you if there is a high chance that you will evade them why not? Btw you should reach for that red button some people dont understand the consept of being logical. If there is %5 chance my torps will hit ally that means i will fire my torps.And when that %5 happens i am not going to change the way i act. I am a reasonable man and i dont see the illogical part of my action. If he wants to fight against 4 powerfull ships he should know that he will die before killing any of them.if it wouldnt be my torps it was going to be one of those ships. He wasnt a team player. Suiciding without doing anything at all is not team play. If you people dont care about the obvious part then i m fine with it. Obviously throwing yourself in front of cross fire you have to expect friendly fire. Obviously no team player would suicide like that

    Torpedo Fails

    In my conutry if a pedestrian wants to pass the road he must use the closest pedestrian walk or find lights. At a highway crossing the road is not allowed in probaby all countries. At a close range a person must know not to get too close to enemy. maybe you dont acknowledge that if you jump in front of line of sight getting shot at is your fault. If i see a pedestrian crossing the road illegally i would slow down because i ahve the controll of my car. however in game i dont have the controll of my torpedoes once they are launched. And when i launched my torps he saw them coming. You really have to understand that i dont give a stuff if you want to jump in my line of sight This is not like someone firing torpedoes to 10km target with 5km torps. This is not like face torpedoing he saw them coming 8km away he knew he had the time to react but he didnt. If someone stoods in front of train tracks and expect the conductor to magicly stop the train thats his fault. Isnt this even a military rule? If you jump between a gun fight dont expect your ally to stop shoting all of a sudden. And i dont understand how you can defend some idiot who didnt read chat nor did care about warnings game gave him. It wasnt my fault i ll do it again if something like this happens. Because basic thing if you are in an Izumo you already should have realised getting super close is not a good choice. If you are going to get that close than expect friendly fire. I dont care if that guy was braindead mentally ill or anything. I follow the text book move. No one in a battleship would get that close to such enemies. he already lost all his health before he ate my 2 torps. which each did 9k damage. The part you dont want to understand is nowhere in the game says that i ahve to think if my ally is idiot or intelligent. Tell me would you go kinfe range close to an enemy ship even though they were spoted long ago and even though a destroyer was planning an attack on them. I dont think anyone with a straight mind would go that close to enemy so fired my torps. Pitty that he wasnt a normal guy. I really dont give a stuff about this situation. I did the logically positive thing and fire my torpedoes on enemy. Because no one would get that close and throw his life away. So let that be a lesson to all of you. IF you want to get close to an enemy DO TRY TO CHECK AROUND YOU. because 4vs1 is illogical and i dont let these situations slip away with excuses such as "i might hit my ally" Because my ally has to understand that his action is illogical. If he doesnt he is a useless one anyway

    I said enough and i m not going to waste my time saying same stuff over and over again. Destroyers were not needing nerf. WG has been nerfing destroyers since CBT started because of all those BB whiners. I had enough talking to you but if you cant understand it the 200th time why would i try more? I m saying this one last time Doing damage over your health does not mean its good. because destroyers have low health with high damage potential. 345,000 damage potential with 15 torpedoes while a yamato has 186k damage potential BUT because torpedoes have such low hit ratio destroyers mostly dont do much damage. You are a bad DD player and you are trying to cover that up with claiming "your damage must exceed your health" idea that is wrong. If that would be the case CVs would be nerfed to hell. i saw 160k average damage with 800 battles played. Thats not how any of this works you dont understand anything about game balance so you need to shut up.

    i quoted him as a support to my point that is not statical poorf that is just a supportive opinion. stats that can be proven would be proof not a players words. Now the thning you must understand that having low HP doesnt mean you will do low damage that just means you are fragile.After this very idea i dont even want to discuss it with you. I feel sorry for you. Thinking that destoryers are meant to do low damage is just some other problem you must deal with. Your words doesnt make sense your ideas doesnt make sense why are you still talking?

    you got it all wrong -I dont like kamikaze type attacks thats why i am in IJNDD line. Try it yourself go near a bad BB player and do it . It works perfectly if enemy player is bad. It doesnt work if enemy player is not bad. -And phly scores good citadel hits in his youtube videos where he plays BBs but at one video he complained about how RNG battleships are and a hundred agreed with him. Those videos doesnt prove anything like your idea.     If he wouldnt be there torpedoes would be hitting montana, if he would slow down torpedoes would be hitting montana, if he would turn his ship a little torpedoes would be hitting montana, if he wouldnt be an idiot and suicide torpedoes would hit montana. I dont see why i am the person who gets blamed. I launch torpedoes at enemies from the same range and they can dodge those torps with a little course change. That was my only chance to torp montana before he could blow the rest of our ships to moon. Yes i know they would hit if he would be an idiot enough to stay at same course but that was a risk i had to take. Why is it my faullt when out of 20 situations only one of them ends with him getting hit by my torpedoes so %5 chance and %95 succes chance why would i throw it away? seriously people dont act like you wouldnt fire torps at that situation. There was no clear area for me to launch torps other than that he had no support yet he KNOWINGLY rushed the enemy got hit by my shot and i m the responsible for that? excuse me while i bang my head to the wall so i can get down to the same intelligence level with you guys. If a BB player whines about torpedoes being OP while he sails in straight line its the BB players fault but its my fault when my team mate(who clearly could see and read the warnings from 8km away) sails in straight line? hypocrisy at its best

    they are not doing well. for instance once at CBT i heard that they released stats of ships and high tier destroyers were not performing good if they constantly nerfed DDs and htye are stil doing that high tier DDs will probably not perform good would they?

It is hard to play in kagero torpedoes dont have such high hit ratio because they are slow. I have 38-37k something and i dont use that tactic. I try my best and sometimes dont even get the chance to fire my torpedes. Last 3-4 battles in it i used this tactic and while it hurts your survivability rate you can do good enough damage. But at high tiers BB players arent that bad they dont get close to the action much(not talking about sitting back and sniping). Its easy thing to keep a destroyer away enough to make him miss his torpedoes.

    THERE IS NO RULE NUMBER 1 if my ally wants to jump in front of enemy to protect him(which in this case Izumo protected enemy) If there is a high chance for my torpedoes to hit enemy i will fire my torpedoes. That wasnt start of the battle that was close to the end battle that choke point was important for me because there were 4 ENEMY SHIPS for god sake that does not happen often enough for me to pass on that. It wasnt my fault. If destroyer player has to think even about how dumb his team mate is then buff the damn thing so i can get close. But no what did they do? They buffed the battleships close range ability against unarmoured ships like destroyers If an allied ships decides to go ham for full min its not my fault. If you are about to fire to an enemy tank and a friendly tank goes through your line of sight is it your fault that he ate the shot? of course there is more time but i dont take the responsibility for someone that doesnt have awarness Next time i cant warn and wait for his answer because if he is getting close range and "focused" hard enough to be unable to read my request i will not abe able to launch my torps. As i told these torpedoes are not same with your battleship or cruiser shells they are super slow it takes 55 secs for them to go 10km. I was abotu to pass near an ice island and even if i would have wait they would be out of my torpedo effective range(torps dont go through ice islands) You should stop talking buddy your words doesnt have logic in them. So why dont you stop talking nonsense? An alpha tester that does not understand how torpedoes work yes i see.... You do realise they take bad players too to supertest crew right? Referring to stats makes people realise how dumb they can be 8km range he had 45 secs to slow down a bit to dodge those torpedoes For the love of god buddy why is this hard to understand? If this guy cant dodge torpedoes he can see everytime what makes you think he can dodge enemy torpedoes? This guy was the faulty one not me. You arent his lawyer nor there is a case. He jumped in front of my slow going torpedoes and died. Should i never fire my torps because maybe some friendly can take hit from them!!!? grow up buddy even at a car accident a pedestrian that crosses road where there is no light or pedestrain walk has to look around. If this guy wants to pull a knife and attack my targets he should look around. This is not hard to do. while it is hard to land torpedoes on targets because even the best ones(suicider destroyers) dont have high enough torpedo hit rate

    Ship model scale.

    Its just about human brain not being able to process it 66 meter diffrence is a lot in real life but 4 meter diffrence doesnt sound much does it? Its like two little squares looking at the same size because they are too small. but if you would make them bigger while holding the same rate you will realise that they actually are diffrent. another example think about 2 sticks one of them is 6 meters long other is 8 meters long. the diffrence is 2 meter. now multiply their size with 100 now you will have 800 meters long stick and 600 meters long stick the 200 meter diffrence now will make 8meter long stick much bigger. If we would be seeing these ships from a crewman's view they would look huge but we dont look at them like that so it makes us think they arent scaled correctly

    Ok i m %100 sure you dont understand anything about game balance I think other people will agree with me on this thinking a destoryer should be blown out of the water for doing its job is not so good idea. In that video aerroon was showing what a DD has to do to guarantee torpedo hits As a guy with 463 battles(108 in DDs) you talk a lot but nonsense. You didnt play anything higher than tier 6 mutsuki and in the powerfull minekaze you have 22k average damage while you think it is OK to nerf destroyers. I dont get this part if you would be super good with these destroyers and say they need nerf i would understand that would be because of your overperformance. BUT you dont even do good in them Just leave this thread buddy you are the John Snow about destroyers

    that would be because every ship in game their length nearly %6 compared to real life(japlance did it) but because longer ships lost more length compared to shorter ships in game ship models look weird I have checked some WoWs models lengths with a 3D program, and while they're not 100% exact in their relative measures, they are more or less equivalent: Katori WoWs length=8.46 Real Length=129.77m Scale 6.51% Gremyaschy WoWs=7.49 RL=112.8m Scale 6.64% Murmansk WoWs=11.30 RL=169.32m Scale 6.67% Yubari WoWs=9.25 RL=138.90m Scale 6.65% Warspite WoWs=13.10 RL=194.89m Scale 6.72% Bismarck WoWs=16.76 RL=251m Scale 6.67% Cleveland WoWs=12.38 RL=185.42m Scale 6.67% Fubuki WoWs=7.92 RL=118.41m Scale 6.68% As you can see bismarck with 251m in real life compared to 185 meter cleveland but in game its 16 to 12 which makes bismarck rather smaller than you would think

    The best and worst guns in the game

    want to hear the worst guns in the game? torpedoes WHAT? yep... i was searching for in game torpedo speed i found out taht 67 knots torpedoes actually has 180.8m/s(unrealistic because normally it would be 34.5/ms) its a game balance issue. But then i realised there can be something wrong with the detection range and speed compared to it. Well i knew that 67 knots torpedoes have 2km spotting distance(actually not sure it might be 1.6km too). So from m/s calculation 1 knot in game should be equal to 2.69m/s for torpedoes(for ship it obviously is a diffrent scale) so 57 knots ones would be 153m/s i am not sure about this part but i remember 57 knot torpedoes had 1km spotting distance so it takes 6.5sec for 57 knot ones to travel 1 km while 67 knot ones has to travel 2km(1.6km possible) for 11 secs(for 1.6km it would be 8secs) it takes 6.5secs for 57 knot ones to reach to a ship from its spotted distance. it takes 11(possible 8.8) secs for 67 knot ones to reach to a ship form its spotted distance. isnt that a weird scale? I mean shouldnt WG be checking on this? Also could someone post here a photo with hatsuharu's 10km 57 knot torpedoes aiming at 1km distance ALT is on? so we can compare the stats to eachother figure out if there is something diffrent between them

    i am not a bad performer that whines DDs are bad! I m not a fanboy alright? But this part is absurd so i thought being abusrd would be fine when i m talking to you "Its called game balance WG have seen that DD are constantly doing very well and felt that they needed a nerf to balance the playing field somewhat. Im sure if they become crap WG will do some rebalance!! after all thats what Alpha and beta testing is for...." Are we playing the same game? DDs are not overperforming why would you nerf a class where getting kniferange close is its only plus side before you say they didnt nerf that with that sonar thing(which i dont think is a big threat) High Explosive shell damage-calculation formula was changed - now the amount of explosives in the shell and the caliber plays a larger effect in damage calculations. Small caliber HE shells will now do less damage, cruiser HE will stay somewhat the same and Battleship HE should now do more damage. Improved accuracy for all battleships when shooting at close range (approx. 5km). The amount of basic smoke available on a ship and the use of the ability "restoration works" have been decreased. Smokescreen effect time reduced to 65-97 seconds (down from 90-120), and will increase at higher levels. Smoke deployment time is 20 seconds for all destroyers (down from 40-55 seconds). Ok lets see the first two clearly means getting close to a battleship will now hurt more and if you didnt see the Aerroon's video about "how OP torpedoes are"(sarcasmic video) well here it is Now getting closer to enemy battleships even against bad ones(like the ones in this video) will be hard. Destroyers were not UP but after this update minus the newbie horde they will be UP and who knows maybe newbie horde will whine harder and force WG to delete destroyers from game along with carriers last 2 is about smoke deployement so now you will have 20 sec smoke spreading time. Also while DDs were able to smoke 5 times now they will be able to do it only at max 3 times. Welcome to the real world

    yeah but let me explain it this way. This cap is a castle and if you leave your doors open destroyers will get in there capture it and everything in it. There is no use to be 20km away if a ninja sneaks in and stabs the king is there? thats like paintball matches if you leave your flag alone you shouldnt complain about a little kid capturing it
