Thank you! Thankfully the image I took from the pages you uploaded wasn't too bad(Paint is strong with me apparently ). Joking aside from tomorrow on I'll find a way to display the various stats in a reasonable fashion which means spreadsheets for the spreadsheets God, functions for the functions throne!

To "spoiler" here are the changes I planned, for each line Cruisers 1)Both Vettor Pisani and Bari will get removed. The former will get replaced by one of the projects designed in the late '10s early '20s(most likely the II variant, taken from here). The latter will get replaced by Cadorna(see point 2) 2)The Condottieri-class will be (finally) rearranged to have Cadorna at tier IV, d'Aosta at tier V and degli Abruzzi at tier VI. 3)I will properly guestimate how Ansaldo for the Motherland will look like(with the added difficulty of not knowing exactly the performance of the 254/55 from UP.90, the most comparable main gun to the Russian 250 mm). Disclaimer: I know in that form didn't exist(at least I'm not aware of an "Italianized" version) but I will just put together pieces which, taken separately, existed at least on paper. Battleships 1)Add BC.1930 at tier VII in the post(she's still missing) Destroyers They are on hold for now since, if they don't move too much around in the Russian line, should be fine as it is. Carriers If there are news on CVs from a nation other than US/JP/UK I might work on them again but it's unlikely. Comparisons I will compare the various ships in the tree with the counterparts, guestimating the ingame stats(as much as possible at least). This will take quite some time since I'll try to arrange the stats as they are layed out ingame Premiums I will guestimate stats for them as well. I will start from the non clones first(since the clones could be guestimated from the standard counterparts).

Finally done with my exams. Between this afternoon and tomorrow morning I'll start working on the thread again rearranging a few things. It will take some time but in a few days should be done.

Well Littorio has a good length to beam ratio plus the additional rudders so I don't see why shouldn't she get a good turning radius(perhaps even the best turning radius of high tier BBs). Time will tell
-
Yeah in alpha the 381/50 would be the highest 15", not that far off from larger guns. Speaking of secondary I don't know if the 90 mm guns would count and even if they do it's a bit on the light side of things(as always compared to the counterparts). Then again also Richelieu as the same problem(plus having an unusual placement due to how the primary armament is layed out).
-
Plus the fact, without plunging fire, the 381/50 becomes even more appealing(since its lack of deck penetration isn't a big problem with hits primarily happening on the belts). With all those factors I think Littorio as a whole might be on the OP side of things with only AA and RoF keeping her down(and, perhaps, secondary armament)
-
Might be dangerous from long range, assuming the shell has enough penetrating power(but that's true for every BB so she's no different in that). Sadly WG hasn't shown any data regarding deck penetration so it's hard to say how vulnerable she is on that aspect. What I wonder regarding the Pugliese system if what would happen if the shell penetrates and explodes within the cilinder(since, at least amidship, those were fairly large so it's plausible). I assume there might be damage but marginal since it won't be a vital part(or even no damage at all) but don't know exactly how WG handles similar situations already. There's no disrespect, I'm fully aware I don't know exactly how things work. Then again I'm neither a naval engineer nor a historian specialized in naval warfare
-
From what I recall the vital parts of the ship were behind the main belt and below the main armored deck. Taking into account how angled the main belt is it should be nigh impenetrable from long range(adding of course the angle of the shell impacting the plate). The armored deck if my memory serves correctly is more or less comparable to the tier VIIIs we already have ingame so in that regard should be more or less as protected. For the underwater protection I don't have a clue since that's radically different from what the nations ingame use

Looking for Italian speakers: Community and Customer Support need YOU!
Deamon93 replied to Falathi's topic in News Archive
Oh derp, thanks for spotting the grammatical mistakes. EDIT: I have a question: will you also require inquisitors moderators? If so do they have to be in Paris office? Because while I can't apply to the positions(currently studying) I would be interested to be a mod if moving isn't required -

There were just small issues here and here . Of course it's a bit scolastic since I'm not a linguist and haven't translated in ages -

A WG personnel writing in Italian in the English section? Blasphemy! Joking aside your translation isn't 100% perfect, if you wish I can fix it . Now a question: will we see the Italian section SOONTM? -
Number of Paper Ships by Nation in proportion to total number of ships
Deamon93 replied to Torpedobeatz's topic in General Discussion
Personally I would count the uncompleted ships separately since wasn't that uncommon to laid down ships and then not complete them(like Amagi which wasn't completed as originally designed because of the Washington Treaty and then the earthquake of 1923 stopped her conversion to CV) -
Number of Paper Ships by Nation in proportion to total number of ships
Deamon93 replied to Torpedobeatz's topic in General Discussion
Every nation will need paper ships, some more than others. Then of course there are the high tiers which will be paper heavy(perhaps only destroyers will have primarily built ships, without counting CVs which shouldn't be present in every tree). -
Strange choice for the medium but oh well. Anyway here's my question: will we see a ship from a new nation this year? And with new nation tree I mean not already represented ingame
-
Like having both WWI and WWII forms as premiums? While I can see a WWII form premium the WWI makes no sense since there should already be RN Dante Alighieri covering the tier IV spot.
-
Possibly but again there's no information on them. In my predictions for premiums I pretty much picked all the plausible candidates considering performance and marketing so should be at least one of those, which one(s) who knows. Personally I would pick a mid tier and a high tier ship, to spread out nicely and cover as much as possible the market(the high tiers have a bigger bang for their buck but not every people has that kind of money to spend, moreover a mid tier would be better suited as trainer). Between the various picks I would go for RN Montecuccoli as mid tier and RN Roma as high tier. We shall see if I'm right or wrong at the end(assuming of course there are at least two ships this year which might not be true)
-
Can't say for sure but at least we know something will come in the foreseeable future. Regarding their choices for premiums don't know how much bang they got for their buck but I'm sure they have everything required to evaluate the moves
-
Considering they said there are some ships in production we should see more than one and in reasonable time, in theory at least. Then again who knows what they have in the works and when we'll see them
-
WG said some Italian ships are in production, how many and which ones is still unknown. Most likely those will be premiums, unless they make a ninja move and release an Italian line this year without any announcement(I doubt it). Still have to update the premium candidates but there shouldn't be massive changes there. Thanks, really appreciated!

Graf Spee is a cruiser though, only the Brits called them pocket BBs(like they called Glorious&co large CLs). Anyway the tonnage seem a bit on the optimistic side considering armament, speed and protection. Most French cruisers have no protection to speak of so 28 mm of belt is still more than a number of other designs they built during the interwar period
-
I've started with the BBs, this afternoon I should be able to finish them.
-
They might consider taking into account the historical armor scheme instead of going for a single layer. In any case considering Cleveland might suffice a single 130 mm layer(Cleveland herself has just 3 mm less
-
I was thinking spaghetti munitions which prevent turrets and propellers from turning, that would be enough to balance them . Trolling aside wouls be much easier to analyze them after taking into account all the aspects involved. For sure some ships will need some help but WG isn't too afraid of doing that
-
I used the historical stats, avoiding arbitrary buffs which are present in a number of different ships. In any case that's firepower alone which is true an important factor but not the only one.
-
Fixed the errors and rounded the values, hopefully now is more readable(even though is quite a stretch considering how much stuff is present on those sheets) EDIT: Thanks for pointing it out the mistake I made with Poerio, I'll edit it right away!
