It may be possible to find it from the MMI. I assume they have the names of the sailors and officers who served on those ships. Next time i go to La Spezia i can ask, of course i don't guarantee anything ^^.

Whats your take on the Russians being added before the British in WOWS ?
Deamon93 replied to Outlawz0111's topic in General Discussion
You are right, Italy is more relevant in WWII but i don't think historical relevance is important. If that was the case the order would have been quite different. -

Italy should be superior to Germany as far as cruisers are concerned, no question about it. As far as light cruisers are concerned the Condottieri-class is overall better than what post WWI Germany has to offer while as far as heavy cruisers are concerned Germany has only Hipper/Prinz Eugen(keeping the pocket battleships aside for now) while Italy has a bit more, thanks to the projects developed for others(plus of course the pocket battleships like UP.90 and such in case they will get considered as cruisers). Regarding battleships Germany is superior mainly because of the Kaiserliche Marine and the amount of ships developed during WWI while Italy didn't develop a lot of designs. Of course i may change my opinion on this specific class in case the MMI archives have something interesting(i hope so but i kinda doubt it at the same time). I don't count the carriers primarily because comparing Italy and Germany on this class is pointless and as far as destroyers are concerned they should be more or less the same. Of course i would love Italy being implemented ASAP but i'm sure that's not going to happen. Even if Italy has merits it isn't as marketing appealing as Germany because of all the myths regarding Bismarck and such. If WG tries to implement Italy before Germany i'm sure there will be rage topics about it(even though technically Italy will get sort of implemented before them with Russia but that's another story). -

I don't recall that. Anyway i'm sure Ev1n and/or Tuccy can say something about it Regarding what you say i agree although, due to the merits of the Kaiserliche Marine, having Germany before Italy is fine. Still i think that the decision is mainly due to marketing although that's just an educated guess. -

I don't recall the procedure for becoming a weekend testers, still i think it should be the same for every region. -

This is from the second Weekend Test. Sure the numbers were different but the RU server had the highest amount of people regardless. Besides, as said above, there will be premium ships for the nations so there would still be source of income for WG. -
He can share the information officially available.

Thanks! Considering my resources(which are fairly limited) the tree is growing up nicely. i must admit, then again there's plenty of time(since Italy should be implemented in late 2016/early 2017 at best). Do you know in which cruiser did he serve?

Who knows how long it would take, still having four nations in this year(it was said Russia and Germany will implemented in 2015) is nice. I wonder how much we have to wait for UK but hopefully not too much. -
The Imperial Russian fleet and the Soviet fleet

But Cleveland is much better than Kirov, no question about it. -

In any case i wonder how Kirov will do against proper heavy cruisers. By the way i wonder why Kirov should be at tier VII while Duca d'Aosta is at tier V(at least currently). -
If you can i would be glad. I wonder though if the MMI(my main source for the Ciano) is wrong about it(here is where i took the data from)

Uhm i thought the primary armament would have remained the same of Abruzzi(so two triple and two twin turrets). I guess i have to check this article out!

Thank you, really appreciated! I haven't read that article yet. At the moment i'm just gathering preliminary info on the ships and then go into the details on a later date. Of course if i find the article i'll gladly read it.

UK was the first to see the potential, that's true. I'm not saying UK wasn't the first to implement those revolutionary concepts, they just aren't the first to come up with the idea. In any case HMS Dreadnought was quite revolutionary for her time and her construction was quite an achievement in its own right(building a battleships in just 14 months). The design i posted was supposed to have steam turbines only. Sadly i haven't found the machinery specifics yet(assuming they are still around somewhere after 112 years). I just know there were steam turbines only and that the ships was supposed reach a bit over 20 knots as maximum speed. It's a bit different though: that ship wasn't the first dreadnought laid down only because Italy decided a more conservative approach while Da Vinci couldn't have built a plane since he lived few century too early for that. -

British haven't invented the dreadnought. The very first dreadnought design was made in 1902 in Italy by Cuniberti. Italy rejected the design but gave permission to publish it in Jane's Fighting Ship in 1903. I don't recall when HMS Dreadnought was designed, i'm pretty sure she wasn't ready by 1902. In any case here is the image i have on her -

The Germans avoided direct confrontation since it's pure madness to fight a naval engagement in the Gulf of Finland(where the two could have fielded big numbers of ships). In the Black Sea the Germans hadn't the possibility to send ships and Italy was busy with the British. Then there's the Artic Sea but that was pretty much a no-go zone for the Germans. -

Deamon93 replied to Ambiorix1032's topic in Age of Armour Warships
Technically the German ships in the Black Sea were under Ottoman flag. Anyway the Russians had a fair number of interesting designs. Personally i'm looking forward to them because some of them are closely related to Italy. Sure i'm a bit biased since i'm Italian but the collaboration between Ansaldo/OTO and Russia created some sexy ships -
Capturing the imposing effect of certain ships
Deamon93 replied to _Pheasant_'s topic in Age of Armour Warships
Most probably too low. Besides placing pocket battleships is complicated due to their nature. They are too light to be classified as battleships but they sacrifice a lot for their armament to be classified as cruisers. -
Italy hadn't that information and since the attack was at night the flag is kinda difficult to see, especially when you're below the ship planting explosives.

Ah yeah forgot about that. If pocket BBs get implemented it's plausible.
-
It shouldn't change too much though. Still there's only one pocket battleship design(at least as far as i'm aware) so it is more complicated to add her. There are some countries(ie Italy) which have at least a few of them(all paper but still).

This is the the info we have on the German tree It's old so most likely the information is outdated.

Poor Tashkent, without her name written. Still she is without a doubt the sexiest ship of this bunch, looking forward to have her in my port!
