CVs start from tier 4. Still you got the point: UK(and Japan) don't have issues in matching the US as far as carriers are concerned(maybe only at tier 10 they could have issues but easy to solve).

If i understood correctly there's a variant with 4x2 130 mm guns so, in theory, that could be a tier X destroyer. Then again it's difficult to say. In theory destroyers have a higher damage potential than battleships since torpedoes should hit harder than shells.

The French had a marginal role. Moreover Vichy wasn't an Axis nation, otherwise the UK would have been screwed. Instead they got invaded by the Allies and only then the Germans tried to take the fleet(which got scuttled). Agreed but it's plausible, although the French will have to wait a long time while the Italians will be able to play their own ships thanks to the Motherland. At least i can say Italian ships got implemented next

There's also a lot of influence on the destroyers. The most numerous class the Soviet had(Project 7/7U) was derived from the Maestrale-class, at the time the latest destroyer design. Then there's Tashkent, design born to fix the Leningrad-class(Project 1 as far as i recall). The difference is that Tashkent was designed and built in Italy. After construction she was sent to the Black Sea Fleet and then completed there(she still lacked the armament). Yep, what an irony.

Well that Ciano looks weird because it doesn't seem to have any logical links with the rest of the Condottieri-class. This destroyer on the other hand has, more or less, the armament layout of Medaglie d'Oro but with the 120/50 instead of the 135/45(plus other different things). I guess i'll have a lot to ask when i go to La Spezia again, hopefully they'll be able to answer.

So this one is supposed to be a third variant of the Soldati II. Then again looks strange: Soldati II was a 12 ship program but only 8 were supposed to be different from the earlier Soldati I

I know but that variant had 2x1 120/50, and the torpedo armament was absent in that particular variant.
